[Q] Rom advice please for rooted 4.4.2 GT-N8010 4.4.2 - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello All.
This is my first post so please be gentle
I recently rooted my GT-N8010 in order to be able to increase the ludicrously low headphone volume, which I managed to increase by editing a .conf file in the etc folder.
This has made a huge difference, and I am curious if there may be a better firmware ROM that may enable better use of the wolfson DAC I believe is in this tablet.
I have had a quick look through the roms, but as Im a late starter in this, can someone more experienced please offer some advice.
Many Thanks

[Q] galaxy note: too loud in imilka's cyanogenmod v02 - any solution?

Hi,
first post, bound to make some mistake but I've done a search at least. I found the same question here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24910656
"Is there a way to reduce the volume back to stock level?"
...and I just want to say there are more people worried about this, it's a shame since the rom is so great otherwise! Quite a bit too loud at the lowest setting for many tracks, and I use Spotify which has no in-app volume control. Can't post where I found the citation above though since I haven't posted 10 posts yet. Does anyone know a solution for this?
Sorry if this is the wrong place / way to post this. Thanks a lot for any help!
PS. I also found similar posts for CM7 for galaxy s2 but figured things might be too different in ICS, I don't dare trying to follow those instructions especially since i'm so noobish, and don't know how to follow them anyway =( (http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/31827-music-over-plugged-earphones-way-too-loud/)

[Q] rooted n9005xxudmj7 now what?

Hi guys,
Firstly just want to thank anyone and everyone in advance and im sorry if I have posted in the wrong place. Very new to all of this and have just rooted my phone today. I was under the impression I would be able to install kit kat 4.4.2 to my device. (Note 3 build number n9005xxudmj7) but can't quite find out how.
Any info or additional things I should be doing would be great. So far been able to add additional apps to s-pen and multi window, customised a few settings. Any other tricks people know of would be great but mainly would like 4.4.2.
Thanks again.
Anybody have any info??
Best is to read first before asking questions.
Questions belong in Q&A section, not general.
Rooting is a personal choice usually made for a specific purpose, I would recommend anyone just to root to see what happens, since it's a relatively delicate procedure, plus potentially voiding your warranty.
Read, analyse, think, choose and then you are welcome to ask.

[Completed] Galaxy A8 international headphone jack port problem

Hello
I'm having a problem with my galaxy A8 international variant code SM-A800F
The problem is primarily in the headphone jack and it's primarily an audio statics, I hear some hissing and audio statics from time to time, what makes it wired is that it's only showing up in headphones with built-in mic, I tried an old apple headphones without a mic and there was no problem, the problem appear in low tones when I hit sometime the touch screen and the touch screen gives the sound I hear some statics, when I play a song that is low in tone I hear the statics as well, what makes it also weird is that the statics and the hissing sound is reduced when I rise up the volume above the level that the phone advice me not to pass it, if I open adaptive sound feature and open personalize and listen to the right side I will hear the statics in the left side and vis-versa so what's the problem?
Is it hardware or software ? The majority of the phone dealers and equipments owners who fix phones told me it's a software problem
I love the phone but this is a deal breaker to me
But what do you see is it a software or hardware problem ?
If it was a software, which one should I install that could fix it, I can't root or update the OS through Odin, as no software is available for the SM-A800F international version of the Galaxy A8
Thanks.

[wrong forum sorry please delete] Honor 8 output 44.1khz native instead of 48khz

[edit: I've put this in the wrong forum for the 2nd time, it should go into the mod forum and not rom forum.... sorry I FAIL, mods feel free to delete]
Hey guys
for anyone with a rooted device (I don't think it matters which version), could you post the contents of your /etc/audio_policy.conf ?
I'm asking because I'd like to post a request on Poweramp Alpha forums to enable hi res support and the developer has requested it.
I'm also asking because I'm curious as to whether it would be possible to mod this file and have third party music players output 44.1khz directly to the DAC, rather than 48khz. The reason to do this would be to avoid using CPU time to do resampling, which is always a big no no if it can be avoided, and in my case, noise at low volumes with high sensitivity headphones. Curiously the stock music player doesn't seem to suffer from this, so I'm not really sure what it does under the hood. If someone could explain that to me that'd be awesome too...
Cheers!
PS to the mods, I previously posted a request in the Q&A forum for a copy of honor 8 audio policy (I don't quite want to void my honor 8 warranty yet, not until I'm sure what I want can be done through root), but I think that was the wrong place to do so as it got next to no views and no replies. I couldn't figure out how to delete the thread though...

Sorry but this isn't the mods thread 😅
I ... this is what I get for trying to do this on a phone... sorry but I can't get rid of this thread either...
