I have a gt-p5113 that is stuck in a bootloop. I've read many many forums on bootloops and have tried many of the suggestions until I discovered that my tab is supposed to have usb debugging checked.
Unfortunately, I never did any customization with my tablet so the usb debugging did not get checked before my tab started doing the boot loop.
So here's the question: Is it possible to recover my tab without having the usb debugging checked? If I can, how do I do that?

hi, my sister locked herself out of her transformer, and she wants the pictures off of it before doing a factory reset. the only problem is that she doesnt have usb debugging on. is there any way i can turn usb debugging on so i can use adb?
Hi,
I have a hobby to develop phone application.
I have no problem with connecting my HTC phone to my laptop for "USB Debugging connection" but my Verizon Samsung Galaxy s3 SCH-I535 could not get the "USB Debugging mode".
I DID CHECK the "USB Debugging mode in the system menu" however, my development environment could not get the debug mode.
Actually, when I plug in the USB with Galaxy s3, it shows the folder of the phone as usb data storage but not for debugging connection
Is there any way to get debug mode on my phone? Do I need to return this phone and wait for developer version of phone when Samsung launch in the developer site?
Thank you
I had the same issue where the galaxy only wanted to identity itself as a mtp or a camera device even though the usb debugging was enabled. adb devices command return nothing aswell. Found somewhere on stack overflow that installing the samsung kies suite would install the debug driver needed for adb to pick it up and it worked for me in my case, so hopefully that'll solve your issue as well.
I had that problem too, and I found it to be a driver issue. Grab the USB drivers from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756885 (links direct to Samsung's site) and Win7 should detect everything.
I am having the same exact issues on my Sprint S3. I have installed all the drivers. Turned on USB debugging, and nothing! I am about fed up with this. I can transfer music over to the SD card without issue. When i try to put on anything other then media it tells me my device has stopped working or was unplugged. If i wasn't past my 14 days I'd return this thing and go back my Evo.
Have the usb drivers in windows and it was working. Now it won't turn USB debugging on. I tried on Linux Ubuntu also but no luck. Any idea? I am on custom recovery with stock rom if that helps.
edit: so it appears that that the debugging does work when using adb. adb devices recognizes my s3. But nothing noted in the notification bar when attached via usb, only connected as media device. When I switch to CM10 from stock, the debugging notification appears. Is this a samsung thing? Any thought would be appreciated.
Bump - Had this same issue. Wasted about 2 hours last night trying to figure out how to get USB debugging to turn on so I could start the root/unlock process. Turns out, debugging was on, but the phone never notified me. I'm on a new rom now and it does correctly notify me with debugging on.
Hello, i have an Asus Tf300t that i just rooted and put on a lollipop rom, since then when i turn on the usb debugging it won't work but when i turn it off in settings in developer options it will work. Anyone ever seen anything like this??
I am having a problem enabling usb debugging on my p3100. My problem is that I want to flash a new recovery and rom via odin because my P3100 having a random restart every 30 secs or 1min. Even I enable the usb debugging it gets uncheck when it restart thus flashing via odin is always unsuccessful. Need help why I am having this issue.
Thank you so much and regards.
