Sorry for delayed reply.
To obtain pit file, you should extract it from your partition table using terminal. However, because you have soft bricked your phone you should use pit file that already exist.
The link below is two files of pit file that you can use with the firmware.
https://mega.co.nz/#F!Q0FTiR5L!E63T9o3mSYizndckgL1o7Q
Version described:
eur = European pit, 32GB
hktw = HK pit, 16GB
Obtain only the pit file that match your model phone. Flash it with firmware from your region to prevent IMEI loss.

still failed
:crying: still failed
i put 32 pit file u provided after flashing failed then
in download mode this was written. Volume size is too big 10 2400 < 409600
Odin invalid ext4 image
may be note 3 is hard brick

No,
Try 16GB one. Might be the pit file you chosen is too big.

it didnt work.
Actually my note 3 is 32 gb but u said i used 16 gb pit file but it fails without completing
and i found article which was saying if ur flashing failed while saying hidden then pull battery off boat in download flash cwm recovery then when phone vibrates directly push
volume up and home button and boat into recovery and dont touch anything just reboot system now the phone will ask for installing missing file and it will boot but i tried
And successfully flashed recovery but couldnt boot into recovery may be i flashed a wrong recovery will you please give me link of cwm recovery for note 3 lte sm-n9005 thanks for helping me

I would suggest you download a ROM from Sammmobile that corresponds to your country and install that via ODIN and if that doesn't work try one from a different country or one tha is unknown (I.E. that doesn't belong to a any country), I softbricked my phone trying to install H3G for UK and for what ever reason it would not install. However...
I downloaded one called BTU and that worked using this app SamFirm. To get my version I installed type the Model number SM-G920F and Region BTU to download, once it has downloaded then decrypt the file by clicking the Decrypt button and unzip the decrypted file and then use ODIN to install that one. Using the SamFirm app downlaods it faster and gets the latest from Samsung as far as I am concerned. Good Luck.

The only thing I can think of is trying one from your country and trying any other one. You can use the SamFirm software to download different versions, else I think your phone is broken for some unknown reason and you will have to get it fixed under the warranty. Or install the Samsung Smart Switch from samsung and get the firmware installed that way via the Emergency Software and recovery mode, but it will wipe everything and do a factory reset. Also you will need the serial number and model number of your phone.

Can't flash with ODIN, can't mount firmware or modem

Sprint Galaxy S5 (SM-G900P)
So, this all started with me trying to downgrade from lollipop to kitkat using ODIN.
ODIN shows:
FAIL! (Auth)
My phone says:
SW REV CHECK FAIL: [aboot] fused 3 > binary 1
After trying a bunch of things, I went into recovery mode/ and formatted everything, including firmware/modem.
Now, II was able to get a ROM running by installing through sideload, but it says invalid sim. This is the factory sim that came with my phone.
I've already tried another working sprint sim, and same result. So I know its not the card.
Also, when II go into recovery/mount and unmount/ it shows firmware and modem unmounted. When I try to mount them, it gives an error.
I thought to flashfirmware, but Odin fails every time.
Help!

My guess your phone firmware is od3 or newer. Since this is probably true it means you cannot downgrade to kit kat or any firmware older then the current one. I would suggest downloading the latest firmware which OK4 or something to that affect. It was release like maybe a week ago or so. Odin that which shouldn't fail. That should get you able to get her running. I am not sure why you'd want go back to running Kit Kat but you'd want to root the phone or re-root. Then flash a KK ROM only flash. Which would probably have to be a custom one. That might work.

Thanks for responding!
I wanted to downgrade to try an unlock method that requires 4.4.2 or earlier. But know I just want my phone back in proper order.
I found out I was using OA6. Three versions have come out since. I am downloading the latest one now (OG1). I'll let you know if it works.
You were right, a new version came out on 12/2 (OK4). I downloaded it and it flashed over! No errors!
But, it is still is not reading the sim. I can only get 3G connectivity. No LTE. I still cannot mount the firmware or modem in philz touch recovery.
Any ideas?

theres a dialer code that will reset the entire modem and all data. you may have to reactivate in the settings menu after. (takes 10 secs to reactivate as long as you are not roaming)
if all else fails. go to phone dialer type in ##SCRTN# it will reset your entire data profile. good luck

You did download the drivers for odin? Probably did but I'm just trying to cover everything. When trying to update firmware:
Make sure you get a good download.
Unzip your file and move the Tar file to your desktop.
Make sure debugging is on on your device.
Dnt use a cheap usb cord
Fire up odin
Power your device down completely. Even try a battery pull then do the 3 button combo. Power/vol down/home button all at the same time to get into download mode
Plug in your device and a com number should appear in the upper left indication box.

i can only suggest you get the firmware from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ if you didnt already. doesnt really matter where it was made. matters the exact model number, not just note 3, and what region or carrier it was made for. without that information, you will be guessing whats the right firmware.
samsung SM-N9005 Unbricked fixed and repaired
EXCELLENT THE TRICK WAS SIMPLE in odin i need to tick the repartition and upload 2 files
for the "AP" in odin you need a firmware and can be found from many websites i used
N9005XXUGBOK6_N9005BTUGBOJ1_BTU\N9005XXUGBOK6_N9005BTUGBOJ1_N9005XXUGBOJ1_HOME.tar.md5
i than looked for a file that is 2kb
download from here "My-N9005.zip"
go to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2550823
now open odin press "AP" upload firmware
than go to "PIT" upload file My-N9005.pit
and than connect your phone and it will fix the problem.

Odin 3 not getting past "NAND Write Start!!" (TWRP)

Hello,
I am new to this site so sorry if I'm doing something wrong. My Dad recently somehow (soft?) bricked his S7. Sometimes it gets to the lock screen, but then completely freezes after a few seconds and it has to be forced off. Other times it has given me a black screen with the error:
Bootloader exception
[ RST_STAT = 0x1000000 ]
Exception: do_handler_sync: UNKNOWN(esr: 0x2000000)
! @ @ @ @ D @
pc : 0x8f000a00 lr: 0x8f000048 sp: 0x0206f (cut off here)
'
And other times it has frozen at the boot screen and the screen has become pixelated.
So, after trying Kies (useless), waiting 24 hours and attempting to connect it to adb and fastboot (which I presume isn't really possible), I have resorted to using Odin to flash TWRP 3 onto the phone. However, when I try to flash the .tar (twrp-3.0.0-0-herolte.img.tar and also the latest one), no matter what USB port or cable or PC I use, it always goes straight to "NAND Write Start!!" and goes no further.
Any help would be appreciated as my Dad needs his phone back ASAP.
Thanks.
Side Note: I'm flashing it so I can recover his data, then I'm going to flash the factory firmware onto it.

Hey.
I can't check the model as the phone is bricked. All I know is there are only two versions and I'm pretty sure it's not Korea. I'm not flashing any firmware, because I want to get his data off the phone and I'm pretty sure flashing firmware will erase user data. Just trying to get TWRP onto the phone. Odin settings: F. Reset Time ticked, nothing else. Odin version: Odin 3 v3.09. Flashing the .img.tar file as specified in my post.
Thanks.

hi mate
there are more than two versions of S7...... how you know you are flashing the right image? at least you know if you have an Exynos version?
If the phone is bricked how you plan to recover the data the recovery alone may not give you access to the rest of the system and with a custom rom you may have to wipe ( format) the data partition to get access to it ( to disable samsung encryption)
there is a newer odin 3.12.3 try that

All I know is that this is shown when I boot into recovery:
Android Recovery
MMB29K.G930FXXU1BPHJ
samsung/heroltexx/herolte
6.0.1/MMB29K/G930FXXU1BPHJ
user/release-keys
I don't know if that helps at all. In terms of recovering the data, the site I'm following instructions from says there is a Mount > USB Storage option in TWRP, which is why I am doing it.
Thanks

Hi mate
Yes , you have a G930F (Exynos) the TWRP image you were using seem right , regarding this , if you install TWRP in order to access the System /data where all the user apps , info, pictures , mail , configurations ..... is you need to format it , that partition is encrypted only Samsung can access it , TWRP does not support it unless you disable it by formatting it ( AKA erasing everything), mount the phone as USB device it may give access to some partition but it will not give you access to the System/ data ( unless you had formated it before)
If you knew what was the phone CSC you could flash a stock firmware without loosing anything, you use home_csc instead of CSC

Ok mate.......
based on what you showed me, this should be the firmware installed on your phone, only BTU , XEU and EE had a BPHJ firmware in UK
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/95186/G930FXXU1BPHJ_G930FEVR1BPH1_EVR/
is up to you ..... there should be safe almost 100% sure you should not lose any data.....but there is always a chance
Download firmware from the above link , extract ( un rar , use winrar 7zip) 5 files from the zip file , should be AP, BL, CP, CSC and home_csc , DO NOT USE CSC use all the other 4 files and flash them with Odin ( use the latest download link in the next link i will give you) with the same home_csc as is on your phone there should not be a factory reset .....all data is preserved........hopefully we have it

Alright, thank you very much for your active support. A few questions, obviously I cannot activate PIN in Secure Startup, will that affect anything? Also which slot do I put the HOME_CSC in? What exactly is the HOME_CSC?
Thanks again.
EDIT: Oh and also should I download the firmware from the thread to be safe and just replace the HOME_CSC? Or is the linked firmware 100% fine?

Your father did not have any pin or password set up before? if that is so use this password default_password when asked for
home_csc goes in the CSC slot in Odin , Country Specific Code it has specific information and or configuration for special services offered by your carrier plus determines when you get an OTA , when you change CSC you have to factory reset if you keep the same CSC ( home_csc) is not mandatory

Download the firmware from sammobile ( first link) extract the 5 files as i told , then you you have two options
1 Extract files ( sammobile) , use the home_csc ( plus the other 4) from them and flash with odin
2 Extract files ( sammobile) save home_csc , go to the second link ( guide) download the firmware from there BUT use the home _csc file you saved ( extracted) from the firmware from sammobile , this is key to not lose any data

EDIT: Oh and also should I download the firmware from the thread to be safe and just replace the HOME_CSC? Or is the linked firmware 100% fine?
Download the firmware from sammobile ( first link) extract the 5 files as i told , then you you have two options
1 Extract files ( sammobile) , use the home_csc ( plus the other 4) from them and flash with odin
2 Extract files ( sammobile) save home_csc , go to the second link ( guide) download the firmware from there BUT use the home _csc file you saved ( extracted) from the firmware from sammobile , this is key to not lose any data

Hey.
So I downloaded the firmware from the site, flashed it using Odin, it flashed successfully, but I'm still getting the same issue. Won't boot up at all :/ is it more likely in this case to be hard bricked?

hey mate
Sorry to hear that , try something else , see if you can boot in safe mode
1. Power off the phone by holding down the power button for a few seconds.
2. Press and hold the power button until the Galaxy logo appears on screen.
3. Press and hold the volume down button and release the power button.
4. Hold volume down until the phone has fully booted.
5. You should see ‘Safe mode’ in the bottom left of the screen.
if that does not work my last oftion woul be a factory reset before of thinking on a hardware problem.....

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 CSC can't be flashed [N950F]

Hi there,
I purchased a note 8 SM-N950F few days back. It was working perfectly till I got an OTA notification. I downloaded it and updated my phone and boom there it goes stuck on Galaxy Note 8 Powered by android screen.
I waited for 20 minutes (long than usual) then restarted it forcefully.
It then started to boot to android with closed eyes [possibly missing recovery screen] and after that back to galaxy note 8 powered by android screen [the loop continues].
I tried many firmwares with no luck,
Then I found a way to start it up, by flashing everything except CSC. In this way my phone started and I'm able to use it normally but with these following issues:
Internal storage 32Gb instead of 64Gb
Codes like *#0*# or *#06# etc not working
Once I factory reset it, the same problem occurs and I have to flash again in the same way i.e. without CSC, if flashed with CSC it doesn't boot up and the problem with that android logo with `x` on his eye persists.
Need help pleaseeee.

You flashed the wrong firmware, the firnware that you flashed was for the 32GB version of your device, that's why it won't boit correctly when you flash the CSC.
Find the same firmware version for the 64GB version of your device.

The problem is that once I boot in recovery it never gets passed that no command error screen. and once it gets at that point there is no coming back.
Phone never starts again and I have to flash firmware again(without CSC offcourse as mentioned above).

Try finding a PIT file for your model number, then flash the stock firmware along with the PIT file, the PIT file goes in the PIT tab in Odin. The PIT is what tells Odin which partitions to flash the various parts of the firmware to.
Place the firmware file(s) in their slot(s), then make sure the "re-partition" option in Odin has a check beside it, then go to the PIT tab in Odin and place the PIT file in its slot. Then click the start button in Odin.
If it still bootloops after flashing, try booting to recovery and factory reset then wipe cache partition then reboot.

This guide has a link to the PIT file.
https://zfirmware.com/download-samsung-galaxy-note-8-pit-file/
Download the PIT then extract it, then flash it along with the correct firmware for your device, flash the firmware and the PIT at the same time, not separately, make sure it is the correct firmware for your region/carrier also. If you don't know your region/carrier code, I'll help you identify what your code is you tell me what country you live in and which network/carrier the device is used on.

This might be a firmware that you have already tried, but it is all I can find for Pakistan.
Here:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note8/SM-N950F/PAK/download/N950FXXS5CSA1/251917/
Or here:
https://samdb.org/download/firmware-sm-n950f-pak/hg-9E/PAK/N950FXXS5CSA1/N950FOXM5CRHA/
Or here:
http://samsung-updates.com/details/145642/Galaxy_Note_8_SM-N950F/SM-N950F/PAK/N950FXXS5CSA1.html
They are all the same firmware, it doesn't matter which one you download. They can be downloaded for free, but the free download is slower, just be patient and wait for it to download.

Thanks alot I'll try later today and will update here. One thing, should I be worried about backing up efs folder? Oem is not unlocked as device is in prenormal state.
Can I backup efs folder without root? If yes how so? I can't find any method to back it up without root.

So here is what I did,
I already had the same firmware downloaded, so I downloaded the PIT file extracted it and flashed the firmware with all files including the PIT file and checked the re-partition.
Odin flash passed.
Device reboots in recovery and starts installing the firmware same as it did for OTA update,
after installing it reboots again and goes to the same "No command" screen :/
I can only able to run my phone if I flash everything except CSC i.e. AP,CP & BL. [Same issue as stated in start of thread]
Any other suggestion please?
