Does the notification panel only display 2 expanded notifications? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm a note 4 User but I really would like to know, because I may switch to the S6, I find it terrible that my phone is only able to display 2 expanded notifications, even on the lockscreen, I usually I'm listening music with my phone and since the DPI of the Note 4 is so unnecessary high the notification panel displays only 2 expanded notifications, is it like this too on the S6 ? Or did samsung change it with the new version of lollipop? For me they ruined the notifications , which are amazing on android, those quick toggles + the s finder and quick connect bar occupy most of the space meant for notifications... :crying:

Heads Up Notification - More annoying than useful [POSSIBLE SOLUTION]

To be honest, Heads up notifications are one part of Lollipop that show me how unfinished Android is and how uncomfortable it can be (also compared to iOS, which I don't really like)
I mean, basically its a good idea to see whats in your notifications, but I would make two changes to it:
1. small notifications when in selected apps: For example, you are in a game. you don't want to disable the heads up completely for this app, but it shouldnt be so big. so it could be just one line, very small and not disturbing. like a ticker, with the height of the statusbar.
2. The heads up notification should go down into the notification bar when you pull it down. Would be a simple but good looking animation. Atm, at least on touchwiz roms, when you pull the notification bar down while a heads up notification is on screen, the notification bar is behind the heads up. Very ugly.
What do you think?
I agree, very annoying..
With HeadsOff lollipop heads-up notifications can now be disabled!
No root needed.
You can also restore the ticker text in the statusbar!
Give it a try:
Download from Playstore
XDA thread
i also hated it... but when i successfuly installed xposed on my device, i changed it's timeout for 2 seconds with gravitybox. after it I don't think it's a problem anymore and I don't need to pull the notification panel to see notifications. the problem is the timeout not heads up itself.
Yeah GravityBox through Xposed can help.
Hope Google might change this in final build of Android M.

5 Wide Toggles on the initial pull-down on Nougat?

I just recently installed the T-Mobile/Verizon Hybrid ROM on my S7 and there are only two things I don't like about Nougat.
The white notification shade
And the fact that the toggles are six-wide when you first pull down the notification shade. Since the bigger layout only allows for 3, 4, or 5 wide...it means it's impossible for the far right toggle to be in the same place when you view your toggles in their two display modes. Very annoying if you want your flashlight to be the far right toggle!
Is there a way to force that initial group of toggles to be 5 wide instead of 6?

Notifications Expanded View?

I've noticed a rather annoying change from my old Galaxy S6 to my new Galaxy S8+ is that it no longer shows the first notification in expanded view. For a screen this size, you'd think all notifications should be expanded, not none of them.
Did I miss a setting somewhere that's keeping the first notification from being expanded by default?

Overlay app no longer working properly for notification bar

Hello,
I use an app called Display Brightness which allows me to toggle the brightness instantly with an overlay bar in the notification bar. I just installed it onto my S8+ and it doesn't appear within that notification bar, it displays it just under it which kind of ruins any apps that require text input at the top (which seems to be a lot).
Is there any reason for this? Or is there any alternative app which allows instantly display toggle from the notification bar?
Thanks

Look at screenshots attached.
This is what i use
One app is called Lux Dash (Play Store)
Other snapshot is an app Shortcutter ((Play Store)
It might give you some idea what to do.
The built-in brightness bar can even be shown just above the notification bar, without having to expand the quick settings panel.
And apparently in the future Android O the TYPE_SYSTEM_OVERLAY will be deprecated and apps overlaying the status bar will no longer work.

Hmm that's disappointing that they are going to make this feature obsolete, this app has been by far the most useful ever, oddly, when I restart the S8, the brightness toggle overlay does appear in the notification bar but then after a few minutes, it appears further down again as shown in the screen shot.
This screen shot shows the S7 toggle bar working perfectly
This screen shot shows the S8 working less perfectly lol
I understand the default one can show at the top of the notifications bar but that requires the drawer being pulled down doesn't it? This app allows toggle immediately from the top of the phone on any app etc without any further touch

Disable notifications

Hello All,
My question is that how can I disable the notification on the notification bar per app.
I just want to disable for example Viber icon and notification on the notification bar, but I want the LED notification only.
If I disable the notifications in app settings, the Viber want to enable it.
I just do not want the Viber icon on the notification bar, but the LED notification is "nice to have".
I checked the Play for this kind of apps without success.
I just surprised with this Android version, because on my old Galaxy S5 (android 6.0.1 note 7rom), this setting is available, when I long press the notification on the notification bar. I can simple disable it.
Or it is because of the Custom rom? I don't think so...
I'm using the below rom on my S5 deivce

Thanks if you have any idea,
Regards,
You can change it from your settings menu, either in the notif area or your app's settings.

No, it can't change. i just tried. if I disable it, all notification has been blocked from the app with LED notification, not just the statusbar or notification bar notifications.
I just attached some picture about my problem.
When I turn off the notification on notification bar, the app will require to enable it. On my old phone as I mentioned, it was easily to disable the notification on statusbar and on the notification panel.
Is there any solution or app for do that? For better understanding: I want the LED notification, but without notification panel notification.
The last picture contains the setting what I looking for... it is from my old Samsung Galaxy S5 (note 7 custom rom) marked with red.
