I have a SM-G 920K Korea model S6
it has been unlocked in Korea I used it for month
I brought it to the US and has AT&T put a sim card in it and they had to change the APN but was only able to get the calling to work
but when I tried to connect to the internet it said Data network required
is there a fix to this has anyone experienced this problem
would rooting be able to change some settings
2nd problem and 3rd problem
Home button will only go back to one level and not to the main home screen
IE. if I was to open the APP draw than open a program then hit the home button it will only go back to the app draw not the home screen
and the media volume always off ive checked all my apps and they are working fine
just when I hit the volume up bottom media is all the way down and and I turn it back up and power off the phone and back on it back to off

When I press the lock button on my Sensation it locks, then the lock screen pops up and i'll have to press the lock button again to turn the screen off. Sometimes I have to do this up to 5 times before the screen will finally stay off and the lockscreen wont pop up. I have a new back cover coming in the mail from HTC and I was wondering if it could fix the problem and I am on AT&T with the phone unlocked. Would I have to re-unlock the phone again since the back cover is the antenna?
Happens to me too

As far as I know, the power button issue, is a hardware problem, but I could be wrong. However I highly doubt that a new cover will fix the problem
bummer, I was hoping that someone would have some insight to this and would have replaced their back and had the problem solved.
I have read on another forum that you can put a piece of paper between the button or something. I have to look into it more because as of so far no being able to use 3G or 4G due to T-mobile and AT&T having different frequencies and the lock button not working to well. I will say this though
A TEMPORARY FIX...is downloading the app called AnyUnlock. It allows you to use a homescreen widget to turn the phone off and use the volume rocker to wake your phone up. It doesnt change the volume and you only use the top button to turn your phone ON/OFF. So its a workaround more than a fix I guess.
Cheers for the answers though
I have the prepaid Verizon of the Verizon s3. Samsung sch-i535pp and i would like to bypass the activation screen ive tried the other methods for the regular Verizon s3 and it doesn't work. Do you have any ideas on how to get the drop-down menu to work?

When my I535PP was working, I remember using this bypass. If you install apps that give Notifications and leave the phone on for a half a month or so strait and the bar should pop up. But if you hit the home button, or go to restart the phone your notification bar will go away, and send you back to the activation wizzard. I guess it's just the way it works. Use a home button alternative app. I mapped the hold down to settings and the tap to recently used apps, kinda like a task manager. Worked great until my wifi decided to stop working
Good luck, hope this helped!
Thank you! Your info is much appreciated! :cyclops:

No problem, and just so you know this is the specific app I was using:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.home.button.bottom&hl=en
Enjoy!
PS: The app will also open while you're in the activation wizzard. Just let it sit there for a little bit when you first boot it up. If you have it set to open up settings you can hold it down and get into the settings without having to do the whole going to contacts and speech thing. Essentially skipping those steps. (Your phone might have to be rooted though)

Awesome! ?
hi
i have a samsung galaxy s3 and now have a locked home screen mode on the bottom, from original i had Phone Contacts Messaging Internet and Apps, i did and upgrade to 4.3 and everything was fine then i rooted it not the whole os, and it still was fine.
i then had problems connecting to the computer so i did a factory reset and hoped it would fix it but i now only get Phone Contacts and Apps the internet is gone, but when i go to settings my device then home screen mode and change it from standard to easy mode i get all it apps on the bottom, i have asked a friend with the same phone and he can drag and drop what he wants but i can, did a search on the internet and there are others that have the same thing on the same phone and call it locked home screen mode.
how can i fix this please.
i have uploaded some screen shots,
1 is what i had
2 is what i have now
3 is what i can get in easy mode which i dont like the look
Kindly Specify Which Galaxy S3 Variant you have (US Version or International Version) so that we may direct you in the right direction.
As stated above I have the 64gb AT&T S6 and so far I found bugs
1st Home button when in the APP draw only goes back to the APP Draw after closing a APP
2nd Media Vol is always off even after I check all my apps to make sure I didn't mute something
3rd listen to Bluetooth volume is up and when the phone screen goes black the volume shut down to Zero when working out .
I have to manually turn it up with the screen off. but if I get a text message that wakes my screen it goes back to zero
4th cant access camera menu open up than closes
5th cant access Samsung gear app pass the main screen they also close after I try to open it
6th finger scanner is set to screen off and even when not in a trusted location it wont lock. just swipe and open phone
7th camera way to much on double press from the off position
going to do a factory reset and see but sux because I have to log in and DL my apps
anyone having these problem and is there a fix before I wipe and reload
Not sure about fixes but I have an att model and none of these issues.
As for the camera settings from what I've seen you'll need to factory reset. As for the lock screen not locking, is it connected to a Bluetooth device, it treats that as as trusted place and won't engage the finger print lock, this can be disabled in settings I believe.
The rest of it I'm not sure as like I said, I don't have these issues on my end.

Hello everyone, I have just recently bought this Lenovo A5000, everything was perfect until i did a mistake today, just an hour ago. I will list step by step how i encountered the problem below.
1. I did some search on the net about hidden code or secret code for service menu(for lenovo)
2. I found some then i tried this code ####999# then all of sudden the screen changed to multiple [email protected] testing followed by microphone test, then camera test then some other test. It keeps repeating and does not stop.
3.I tried to press whatever key is available along with home menu or multitasking hot key but no avail. It keeps repeating and repeating, Pressing on/off power button also not working.
4. The only things that work is, i was able to scroll down for hidden menu as we do on all android phone. I can go to settings but only settings display etc. I tried to search for the running service test on running programs under the apps menu but nothing. I also tried to press power off/on button here but no avail.(please take note thatthe service test still running at the background during this time).
5.Finally when i tried to close any running systems apps i managed to get into dialling menu. but again i just leave it here because the service test does not seems to work here.
6. Lastly when i look at my phone, it was already black in screen that i believe it was in sleep mode but when i press any button this phone doesnt awake. tried to press the power on/off longer but no avail. unfortunately i cant pull of the battery because it was not removable.
Hopefully anyone of you can suggest me how i can revert it back to normal. Really this is unexpected. I ONLY pressed ####999# and voila [email protected] test started. I appreciate much your help guys. Thanks
NOTE;
I dont know where i get the idea but, as i said above, the phone goes to sleep with no response. What i did a few minutes ago ,
1.Press the power on/off button and keep pressing the volume up several times followed with volume down then release.
Then Lenovo logo comes up, then VOILA! my phone was normal again.
Anyway i will always give a credit to XDA forum for many valuable tips and knowledge that i learned before. Thanks
