[Q] Any advice before updating to Cyanogenmod 12.1? - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi, i want to update to CM12.1 but first i want to be real sure that:
1) i can go back safely if i don't like
2) i won't soft/hardbrick
i'm currently on 4.4.4 US Retail on my XT1032, 2 months ago i updated to 5.0 stock brazil but don't like it because no xposed and doesn't wanted to try cm12, i downgraded to 4.4.2 making a softbrick but somehow i get out and updated to 4.4.4, I have understood that i need to have CM11 installed in order to install CM12, i have the CM11 snapshot for falcon ( from 2014) and have the CM12.1 latest nightly, now:
1) it's safe to flash the CM11 snapshot to install CM12.1 later?
2) if i don't like it or is very unstable, i can go back to 4.4.4?
sorry for the bad english and thanks in advance

[Q]Regarding Google s4 Safestrap

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to all of this. I have a question about this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2767026
I am currently rooted, and safestrap on version 4.4.2 of kitkat. When I flash this, I am going to flash version 4.4.2, but this rom also has downloads for 4.4.3 and 4.4.4. Do I need to start with 4.4.2 and flash my way up in order to get to 4.4.4?
Thanks!

[Q] While OTA update to 4..4.4 work if I first restock on 4.4.2?

I need to flash my Moto G (currently on rooted stock 4.4.4) to stock 4.4.2 in order to solve some issues. I could not find any 4.4.4 stock Rom actually, only 4.4.2.
My 3 questions are:
- among the different versions of 44.2 Stock that are listed for my country, can I just select the highest version number?
- will the root stay after restocking to 4.4.2 as per the FAQ?
- once on 4.4.2, will the phone be updated over OTA again to 4.4.4?
Thanks

How to revert back to Kitkat?

As usual i was on 4,4,4 Moto but then i flashed GPE 4.4.4 then updated to Lolipop, now i want to go back to motorola and is this ever going to be possible without facing the consequence some people have faced already? A brick? Is this currently available? Is there an update from motorola coming, such as the 5.0.2 Lolipop update?
Lollipop 4.4.4? haha If you updated to 5.0 the boot loader has been updated, and there will be some bugs when you downgrade like a line going down the screen sometimes.

I sucesfully converted to Kitkat 4.4.4 GPE, however, is it possible to flash Moto 4.4.4 with the Lolipop 41.18 bootloader ? I dont want to break the phone but i really hate GPE!
I tried and got 4.4.4 stock but you got some bugs, a little bugs, no brick.

latest option for p5110?

Been out of the scene for a while and looking to update my tab 2 10.1 to the latest release. Currently running a slimkat ROM 4.4.4 and wondering what my option is to get the tablet lollipop but running a clean install?
My question is how can I backup everything off my device before I do this to minimize my setting up time afterwards?

TWRP on Galaxy E5 with Android KitKat 4.4 (SM-E500M)

Hi
I've read this post where I can download a TWRP build for SM-E500H with Android 5.1.1 and it says it has been tested with SM-E500M successfully.
I have a SM-E500M but with KitKat 4.4 Installed (Lollipop hasn't officially arrived for my device and I don't want to install Indian or Russian update since I don't know if it will break something).
Does anyone know if there is a chance that it will work with my device without loosing my data?.
I'm not interested in rooting my device, I only want to install TWRP.
I thank you for your time. :good:
