I Have gotten help before with this site maybe I can understand this:
In the past I bought an HTC One m7 used with Hboot 1.44 Tmobile sim unlocked. I used an app called Revone v2.11 to S-off the phone. I used the command "Fastboot oem writeCID 11111111 and then flashed it with the ATT RUU from HTC1gurus website with Hboot 1.55. After the flash, it did fix the Wifi glitch that the phone had but it sucked as att so I then flashed it to HTC Euro ver 1.20 RUU from the same site giving the device Hboot version of 1.43 but the Wifi glitch was still fixed.
I got another HTC one m7 tmobile that was upgraded to 4.3 version with hboot 1.55, Set it to S-Off with rumrunner and changed the CID to 11111111 as well as I have a One T6UL Taiwan version that I set S-Off with Rumrunner as well and changed CID 11111111 but when I try to flash anything to Either of the 2 devices that both our set to S-off and both set to Super CID I get " Error, Reading Signature in zip failed" "Too Many Links". I can flash the newer M7 with the T-mobile RUU for android 4.3, HBOOT version 1.55 but if I try to run the HTC euro RUU that I ran on the first HTC one even on the Same computer it gives me "Unknown Error". or if I try to flash the extracted zip from the RUU.exe I get the "Too Many Links" error that I stated above.
Basically my questions are: If the devices our set to S-off and they have the super CID set, Why cant I flash any firmware old or new? I mean it worked on the first One M7 that I bought. Does Rumrunner not really set the device to S-off??
Hi there,
From what I've searched all discussions about T6UL is for HTC One MAX not M7. Are you sure about that?
Thanks

Is there an S-OFF available for HBOOT 1.20? Saw "locked" after flashing 1.20 and S-ONed phone. Finally unlocked using htcdev but nothing I found could help me downgrade HBOOT and do S-OFF again. Do not have SuperCID atm.
there is a thread on this your still rooted even though it says s on
Yeah, I am still rooted and can get into recovery and flash ROMs. But I am having issues with signal and I cannot flash anything because 1.20 does not support fastboot commands. I would like to downgrade but cannot. I tried flashing the customized p85img.zip with my CID T-MOB010 and it would just return to menu w/o any messages.
Make sure it's p85img in the file name.
Don't INSERT .zip at the end. It should automatically be a .zip file.
The file is named correctly.
There is a thread here ima try and find it were you can revert back to hboot 1.17.0000

i m facinf d same problm wit my sensation with bootloader unlocked thro htc dev. i m unable 2 flash any radios. Even i m unable to flash any custom firmware also. I need ur help if u found any solution.
either downgrade your hboot to 1.17 or update to ics 3.24 which has hboot 1.27 (unlocked) and you will have advance fastboot commands
Same exact problem here, semi-bricked my phone before I went over to Htcdev.... attempting to flash a p85img for HBOOT 1.17 or any p85img does nothing but parse it. Searched all day today couldn't find a thing to help...Others have suggested just waiting until Revolution comes out with an Unlock for 1.20 but I'm determined to find a solution for us.
Hi there, I want to go back to my factory ROM by RUU, but all of them fails by error of 155. I think it´s because of my Hboot in version 2.15 (I´ve no idea how did it came to my phone, maybe because of some of the custom Roms I had). So do you have any idea what to do with that ? I expect that without S-Off I cannot downgrade Hboot. So is there some RUU based on this ? And how can I recognize it ? Thank you
(I have changed CID to HTC__001)
Edit: I found some version for S3 Ville .. but I have S4, which I can´t find. Any ideas ?
I'm looking for a compatabile RUU as well for my Hboot 2.15. My CID is GLOBA__001
Any Help would be appreciated.
i think S-Off can also let you run an RUU no problem... (ie without CID change)
But remember you have to flash stock recovery and then relock bootloader before attempting to run RUU (with S ON), and make sure you have the correct CID too before relocking, etc.
You should be able to run an RUU with the same level of bootloader, just not one with a lower version, with S ON.
So the euro jellybean version that has been posted on the One S forums should be an appropriate RUU.
Hi guys!
I have some problem with HTC Sensation. It boots only till HTC logo. And nothing more! On this device isn't OS.
Some guys said that I need to install RUU exe file through computer. I did it but received error 130 (need other version of RUU, I think).
So can you recommend something?
S-ON, hboot 1.18.000, radio 10.14.9035.02_02
Thank you!

What exactly do you mean by "On this device isn't OS".Do you mean you haven't install some custom OS on your device or it has no OS at all.If you have erase the OS the bootloop is something natural.
I did a google search for your radio version and according to this I found answers only on some german forums. So your cid (as long as you are s-on) should be possibly a German or a European one.
You can download the latest Europe version from here and give it a try.
You can find your cid number using fastboot.Just get into fastboot mode of your hboot and give the command fastboot getvar cid.
If your bootloader is HTCDEV unlocked give the commands:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
fastboot reboot-bootloader
After that your hboot should say Relocked instead of Unlocked. Then install the RUU.
You could also give it S-OFF using this guide (Does not require HTCDEV unlock method):
[GUIDE] Juopunutbear S-OFF NO HTCDEV UNLOCK | ROOT (1.2x HBOOTS)
If you are S-ON you can use a RUU only with hboot 1.18 in your case
Read this topic to know all about RUU

Why exactly he should use an RUU with hboot 1.18?!
I know that the version of hboot can be upgraded normally but cannot be downgraded as long as you are S-ON.If you are S-OFF you can downgrade everything. Also if you want to install an older RUU and you are S-ON you have to use a gold card and you patch the version of the misc partition to an equal or lower one for the RUU you are going to use.

Hi! First time posting in this amazing community...
I have an HTC One S (T-Mo). I was fooling around with it and flashed it with HTC_Europe 3.16 firmware. I didn't realize that the device was SuperCID already, and flashing changed the CID to HTC__001. (CRAP)
It's also S-ON (double CRAP)...
So here I am:
-I can't Facepalm because I can't get SuperCID.
-I can't Moonshine because the CID is HTC__001 and doesn't match the MID (T-Mobile), so neither the Europe nor T-Mo RUUs work...
So - how can I get the device back to SuperCID or T-Mo US CID...? Currently running Philz CWM and Cyanogenmod 10.0...
Thanks!

AFAIU it all depends on the xxx after the 3.16. in the version of the firmware, which method is likely to work with your device.

I was able to change to supercid with the same config as you have ( 3.16.401.8 and origo cid HTC__001) so it should for you. If you'll manage to supercid just get s-off useing facepalm metod. Worked for me.
Sent from my HTC One S
if you got the xxxxxxx.9 it wont work indeed.
but on the xxxxxxxx.8 supercid/facepalm method should work, i did this myself back then.
since hboot didnt change going from .8 to .9, it might be possible to reflash the ruu to get back on .8 (as you did before i presume).
but if the ota going to .9 did change something permanent its a bust.
I believe the RUU I tried flashing was HTC_Europe_3.16.401.8_Radio_1.11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L...
-If I go the Facepalm route, I have to SuperCID. I can't because I am unable to change mmcblk0p4 (write-protection, I'm guessing. I did take the JB OTA from T-Mobile at one point...)
-If I go the Moonshine route, the device crashes when Moonshine tries the ADB test (reboot from bootloader). This happens using the ville_3.16.661.4 and ville_3.14.531.11 versions...
Possible solutions:
1. Downgrade hboot to an earlier version without write-protection on mmcblk0p4 so I can SuperCID -> Facepalm. I'm currently on hboot 2.15 - is this possible?
2. Flash a ROM of a firmware supported by Moonshine - anyone have that?

UPDATE: I apologize for the double post, but I was able to S-OFF using Moonshine.
What I used:
ViperROM 2.1
TWRP 2.3.3.0
Windows 7 Pro x64
Moonshine - HTC One S Telus Windows 3.16.661.4
I currently have hboot 2.15. Thanks for looking!
Hello My Dear Learners & Teachers....
my question is my At&t HOX is on 4.0.3 ICS Wanted To Install JB i went to htc site and got the RUU Link
(RUU_EVITA_UL_JB_45_S_Cingular_US_3.18.502.6_Radio_0.24p.32.09.06_10.130.32.34_release_signed_With_Partial)
The Filename mentioned ... want to know is it correct RUU for my At&t HOX?
My Current Info is
Software Number "1.85.502.3" | Radio 0.17.32.09.12 | Hboot 1.09.0000
That is the right RUU for the AT&T version.
Is your phone stock or modded?

If you have Super CID, do not run the RUU. It will brick your phone.
If you're not sure, type the following command into your command line:
fastboot oem
readcid

If the phone is s-on, yes that is right.
First of All Thanksss
yeahhhh its S-on
and please let me know why super cid will brick?? I thought super cid means any ruu will work..lol :silly:
and no mine is not super cid ... so I will upgrade it. :highfive:
SuperCID just means that at&t phones were able to unlock via htcdev because the at&t CID was blocked. SuperCID + s-on + jb RUU = brick. This is because a CID check that occurs halfway through the RUU update doesn't allow the RUU to finish, therefore ending up with a partially completed RUU, which means a bricked phone.

What timmaaa mentioned is basically a bug. The RUU shoudn't run halfway like that, but for some reason on JB RUUs, it does (past RUUs were fine with SuperCID).
But also, what you said above is not true. SuperCID will not allow "any" RUU to work. It only bypasses CID check. Trying to run a RUU for an older hboot will fail version check. You need s-off to run "any" RUU.
thanksssss ALL Update Successful.....
