OP, can you tell us how to install it? Do you put it in system/app? Or do you just install like normal apk?

Hello.
Do you find improvement from previous camera stock?

For anyone getting the "Application not installed" message everytime they try to install this via the normal way, this is how I managed to get past it -
I deleted the Gallery2.apk using SlimSizer, (so I'd say you just have to go to /system/app and delete it from there if you're not on Slim) and THEN installed the APK after.
I'd make a backup of the original apk in case you don't like the camera. (which I forgot to do..) Layout is nice once you know how to go to different levels of settings and Photosphere works for me. You'll have a surprise change waiting after you take your first picture - I'm bewildered as to why it wasn't there before. The only bad thing I can see atm is that I haven't found an option to save to External.

Tried installing on my toro running cm nightlies and the buttons to take picture and such were down almost below my Nav bar and I could take a picture but it would fc right after. And I also got fc when trying to switch to photo sphere.

Doesn't work perfectly. The settings aren't correct. The scene modes pick different options (choose none, get sunny, etc).

"Application not installed" on LG G Pad running 4.4.2 Madhi Rom. I've tested to put App in system/app and changed permission, same problem :/.

nokia 5mp camera, no switch to front camera, after recording a video gallery fc.
other than that, it's nice tested on nexus 4

Did you try deleting gallery2.apk from system/app and then try to install it as a normal app

Doesn't install for me, on the Nexus 5. Liquid Smooth 3.0 ROM.

Gallery works fine, but I can't take pictures (FC). Samsung Galaxy Note N7000

Camera works on Motorola Moto X. Videos don't record and panorama is distorted. Like the processing of the pictures. Very clear images.

the same for me. I can open gallery, browseing thru my photos. But when i run camera from gallery or standalone, csmera-app crashes.
I am using sony xperia p, moonwalk hd v8 with JB v4.1.2

I have come up with Stock Android 4.4.2 Camera App for Android 4.0.3+ Devices. Its based on CM 11 Camera2 Source Code. Its just the initial release with almost everything working. As time passes I will try my best to make the app fully functional.​What works :

Camera UI Problem :
On some HDPI devices[Such as My Sony Xperia™ M Dual[480 x 854]] with screen resolution of 480 x 854 or below the camera capture button, camera type button and settings button are not placed correctly and look half cut. I will try my best to correct this problem in the next release.

Installation failure on my XT1052 (Moto X '13) @ CM12.1 based ROM (NX-Rom).
Solution
Root-copying it to system/apps/MotoGallery & reboot solved it for me..
The /MotoGallery dir has to be created before copying the .apk

Can someone please post the Motorola Gallery apk which will work on CM14.1 ROMs.. thanks..

So I'm trying to figure out "Why?"
The launcher is nothing special, except that it lack an app drawer, which strikes most as a bad idea. The camera app was panned by most reviewers. Why would you want to run these on a device that has better software already, and when there are many better 3rd party products?

How to get the app appear on the launcher. I rebooted my nexus6 but it still doesn't show any app.

All of the apps work on my Marshmallow Nexus 4.
Is it possible for you to port the Clock app aswell? I really liked its widget.
