Automatically turn device off after defined time without charhing? - Android General

Firstly I asked about automated turning on if the charger is plugged in. I still want to get the answer.
Is another question possible as well? Can a software be made which allows the user to set timeout for the device to turn it off?
Say, only 10 hours without charger are allowed and then the device is off to save battery but can be turned back on either manually or by plugging charger.

HTC Touch Pro: Operate on external power source?

Any way to have the Touch Pro operate on external power only when plugged in, leaving the battery alone if I have it set to not charge when connected to a computer?
Sometimes I hook my phone up and turn off the charging feature because I don't need it to be charging. It would be nice if it would run off the external source in those instances so that the battery does not continue to drain while the screen is active or I'm messing with the phone.
you might be able to pull the battery out.... but i don't know why you wouldn't just set it to charge? Its not going to kill your battery to do so and you will have more power later.

Any apps to auto boot/shut down? Need help..

Whats up XDA.
So I have a galaxy tab sch-i800 running on cyanogenmod 9. I plan to fit my tablet into the dashboard of my car. I have everything worked out except how I'm going to turn it on and off. since I won't be able to access the power button I need a way for it to power on/off by its self, that way its not occasionally dead when I start my car.
At first I planed to use tasker to turn the tablet on when plugged in (or when I start my car, it turns on). and then turn off after an hour of inactivity (or an hour after I've turned off my car).
But now that I'm looking at tasker it won't let me use the command "turn on" (even though I'm rooted) and I don't see a turn off command.
Is there any apps out there that can help do exactly what I want?
I have noticed that 4.2 and higher automatically boots the device when it is plugged in, I'm on 4.0, would upgrading screw up cyanogenmod?
Thanks!

I CAN NOT charge my smartphone Charge only off or Bootloader

I CAN NOT charge my smartphone Charge only off or
Bootloader is the way it recognizes correctly when connecting and disconnecting the usb cable
Android System Started
On with the USB Cable: Indicates the battery icon as charging but in the state of the phone "indicates you are not ****ting", so disconnect and disconnect the cable does not recognize
On without the USB Cable: Does not recognize anything, neither connect nor disconnect
Loading with the Off: load very slow; By moment turns on and off the screen and shows the logo and then the percentage of battery
same problem but solved finally
Switch off your phone/ let the battery drained to null(recommended)
Try to start your phone at 0% to drain battery.
Screen will show 0% or plug icon.
Then connect charger then , then switch on plug of charger.
After few minutes screen will show battery at 3%.
Let it charged without disturbing, it may take more time.
In my case it take 1-2 days to fully charged.
After fully charged, notification light will show on speaker, then disconnect charger and turn your phone on.
Hope this will solve your problem.
If not repeat same procedure.
***Never turn your phone on/restart while charging it may create the same problem***
If the problem not solved, uninstall or disable "charging related noise problem" system app.
Problem solved
After trying to solve the problem by placing different ROMs and until flashing the Firmware the solution was the following
As the only way to properly load the phone was by bootloader mode; Leave charging the phone that way about 5 hours lego ignited the equipment even charging and that way began normal operation the equipment

Airplane and Doze without wakeup when screen off

I'm using my tablet as a car navigation device. I may leave my car parked for up to a week sometimes.
Ideally, I'd like to turn the device off when I stop my car (cable unplugged or screen off) and then turn the device on when I start my car (cable plug in, screen on). Since it takes a while to boot up (and I don't know how to autoboot when the cable is plugged in on a LG g pad 8.0), I don't want to actually turn off the tablet.
Therefore, I have installed "Automate" to enable airplane mode when screen is off and turn off airplane mode when screen is on. I also have Greenify and enabled Aggressive Doze. However, even doing this, I notice that while the screen is off, the phone will still come out of doze periodically. Also eventhough airplane mode is on, Gsam Battery stats show the phone radio is on the entire time (but not data).
Is there a way to force it to doze and not wake up until I tell it to?
Also, for some reason, as it keeps going into airplane mode and back out, I will get a message saying the sim card has been removed and it will force me to reboot. If I don't go into airplane mode at all, I dont get the message. It's only from switching it on and off.

Any way to disable the "auto screen on" when plugging in USB?

Is there a mod for this somewhere? I'd love to stop the screen from coming on when plugging it in to my PC, my car for Android Auto, etc.
Even if you find a method, I'd recommend keeping it enabled, as it is currently the only way to know that power is flowing to the device. Without a charging LED or activation AOD, the phone gives you no indication of its status and could leave you frustrated the one time you plug it in and the other end of the cable isn't properly inserted.

I've had it on my phones in the past and LOVED it. I don't really need any visual indication of charging, I've never had any problems with plugging it in and it just charging.
