Welcome to the 「G-フォース Project」 aka G/v-Force Project
A project to bring the most G4/v apps and features to our belowed G3
for v10 apps,
Try: https://mega.nz/#F!bpQGBbLQ!Q3eTeYxe5fIBLegkQjiI6A
These are all apps deodexed, and all libs inc lib folder,
PLEASE note that these are untested and i have no possibility to try them myself so if anything doesn't work please use log
PLEASE DON'T ask me for trying to port the G4 camera Read statement from LG driver support http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=62021176
If that statement is true and the G4 uses cameraapi2 there isn't any need of trying to make it fully working. best thing would then be to Try reproduce a similar method. For sure manual iso could be fixed by doing some modification (since the Iso is always changed depending on how picture is taken and in what condition) same might be with manual focus. But white balance is probably a no go.

Even for the retailers to use it and fake the phone to a copy G4. All i do ask is that you put correct credits. however if you don't want to it isn't a must i won't die, nor get a heart attack. I know how the internet works. people will always copy and being willing to take credits for others work ;)

I decided to start porting over some G4 apps for our beloved G3. For Screenshots See post #3

HI @LastStandingDroid,
Thanks; I am currently on the road (on my way home) and will try this ASAP. I will report back.
UPDATE:
Hi @LastStandingDroid,
I'm done testing. Here are the steps I have taken and the results.
1. Replaced lge-res with the modified version provided.
2. Rebooted the device.
3. LG "Life's Good" Logo (powered by Android) showed up. LED light flashing green-blue (normal)
2. Next screen: LG Boot Animation with music (normal)
3. Next screen: PIN entry. Screen went blank (off), LED light flashed green 2 times (quick flash)
4. Tried to turn on the screen by pressing the power button. Display showed up but went blank again.
5. Tried pressing power button again. Display showed up again but went blank again.
Please advise. Thank you in advance.

Report on testing other LG G4 ported apps: LG G3 D858HK (Dual-SIM variant)
By the way I have tried the other LG G4 apps as well, and here is my report.
FULLY WORKING
1. Clock and Alarm Clock: working. WARNING: make sure to apply the LG G4 "Alarm Clock FC Fix" after installing the LG G4 "Clock" and then reboot!
2. Weather: working
3. Home: working
4. Smart Notice: working. WARNING: complete LG G4 "Weather" apps, LG G4 "Home", and LG G4 ConciergeBoard (and ConciergeBoard Fix) first (in the order I mentioned) before adding LG G4 Smart Notice Widget, otherwise "Home" will always force close! Same with LG G4 "Weather" Widget!
5. Music: working
6. Music Widget: working
7. Contacts: working
8. Contacts provider: working
9. Calculator: working
10. File Manager: working
11. LGIME: working
12. LG My Guide: working
13. LG My Wellness: working. WARNING: as per the thread, make sure to set up your profile first (LG G3 version) before accomplishing the move to the LG G4 version!
14. LG Quick Memo: working
15. LG Quick Remote: working. WARNING: make sure to accomplish the move to LG G4 version of QuicksetSDK first!
16. LG Voice Recorder: working
17. LG Video: working
PARTIALLY WORKING
1. Gallery: will force close if you select "Hide/Unhide Albums or Photos". Other than that, it's working.
2. Calendar and Calendar Provider: WARNING: make sure to accomplish LG G4 "Tasks" first before accomplishing LG G4 "Calendar" and "Calendar Provider" otherwise it will force close! Anyway I got them to work, but only partially. If I select "Choose calendars to sync", the "Calendar" app is just stuck in loading animation.
3. Email: I tried adding my work email (Microsoft Exchange), but it always gives a message showing something like "disabled feature" blah blah...
4. Smart Settings: this is new to me, and looks cool! Toggles are responding/working, but you have to set your "Home" location in Settings->Location (and then you're supposed to see "My Locations"). Although I didn't see it. I'm not sure if this app is considered "partially working" or if I just made a mistake.
DID NOT TRY YET (because I got into a situation as described above; will try again once I finish reflashing):
1. Camera
2. LG Internet
3. Messaging (due to the problem encountered above)
4. SystemUI (I found this apk in the complete LG G4 flashable zip for D855). What does this do, by the way?
5. Media Folder (ringtones, notifications, etc.). Will try copying to my device when I reflash
6. LGQVoice: installed successfully but I didn't try it yet. It requires agreement to a specific EULA (End-User License Agreement), which I think I haven't copied to my device yet because the screen will turn dim only.
7. EULA (End-User License Agreement): I saw this in the LG G4 flashable zip for D855. Is this the EULA that is needed by LGQVoice?

Here's what i found in LGHome
Transitions are the same.
App drawer is the same
Widgets are the same
I did see different animation when removing widgets or apps from home screen.
It also removed theme menu.

[ROM][Updated 25/01/11] Higgsy Modded v1.08 RC2 - Easy Installer!

Well I'm kind of in the mood after getting some good feeback from my Defy ROM, so seen as though v1.08 has been released by Advent - I thought I would try and get a release based on this out - try and liven up the vega section on XDA!
As I've said before - I aint no Dev and don't profess to be. I know a fair bit about Android, but I don't compile, what I can do, is put things together that make it easy for others.
As you can see I've marked this as a release candidate, so I'm open to suggestions of what else could be included/improved on, although this is meant to be an unbloated blank canvas for people to build on.
ROM Includes:
Advent v1.08 base
Flash (You may need to reinstall by browsing to /system/etc/shuttle_priv and reinstalling the app in there)
Launcherpro
Gapps (No Gmail - I don't use the app - download from the market if you want it)
High Res Gallery
Moduleap screen calibration app
ES File manager
New for RC2:
Included small notification bar
Custom Boot screen
Modaco USB Switcher (Host/Slave)
Optional Clockworkmod Recovery
Added stock taskmanager back in (even though I think its fairly poor)
My favourite part of this is the installer - I don't think you can get much simpler than this. I'm sorry to Mac and Linux users, but this is a windows installer package, I've never owned a mac (and probably never will) and have limited linux experience.
Install process:
This assumes you have already have the Vega nvflash/adb drivers installed.
1) Download Higgsy_Modded_v1.08_Vega_RC2.exe here
2) Make a backup of your current ROM using clockworkmod recovery (If you use it).
3) I Also advise a backup of your apps/app data via Titanium Backup.
4) Boot into nvflash recovery using the following method:
Disconnect power cable if connected
Power the Vega off
Reconnect the power cable
Hold the back button for 2 seconds
Keeping the back button held down, press and hold the power button for 2 secs
You should hear a "bing bong" from the PC - if so release the buttons
If you don't get a bing bong, disconnect power for 10 secs then reconnect and try the process again.
5)Once you are in nvflash mode execute the Higgsy_Modded_Vega_v1.08_RC1.exe you downloaded, once complete hit enter when the DOS window prompts you.
6)Wait 10 secs and then power on the device as normal.
Installation for Clockworkmod Package:
1)Download the Clockworkmod_Install.exe from here
2)Make sure your Vega is connected to your PC and you have USB debugging enabled on the device
3)Double click the Clockworkmod_Install.exe program and let it do its bit
4)Once the DOS window disappears then it all done.
5)I recommend a standard shutdown/cold boot after install (prob don't need this, but I like to do it anyways.
I had previously posted earlier that clockworkmod was giving black screen, I can now confirm that installing via the above method, has stopped this for me- I have done 3 reflashes/install clockwork/boot into clockwork/flash a zip/reboot/cold boot and it hasn't black screened me, I was probably trying to be a bit clever trying to integrate things I didn't need to, and to be fair its better as an optional extra anyway.
Further note from me on clockwork mod after someone reported BSOD:
Clockworkmod is hit and miss, I spent best part of a day testing/reflashing and in the end I got it to work without any issues, i.e. the usual BSOD after first cold boot after using clockworkmod. What I found prevented it earlier was after using clockwork mod to backup/restore/flash zip etc, was to reboot back into clockworkmod straight away and then just hit reboot in clockworkmod as soon as it loaded up, then if you cold boot after this it loaded up ok. I think the key thing if you are going to use clockwork, is take a recovery straight after setting everything up, then its not so much of a biggy if it does black screen.
Enjoy the ROM
Thanks go to the following:
[email protected] for all my hosting
[email protected] for the Recovery.img/app for the vega. and USB switcher (And indeed kicking of the whole vega scene) At the end of the day Modaco got me into android and for that I'm grateful.
[email protected] for High Res Gallery3D
Fede Carnales for Launcherpro, that is included in the rom.
Estrongs team for a great file explorer.
Advent for making the technology available at an affordable price/original firmware.
Anyone else who thinks they should be thanked.
Please don't post this on other forums without asking me first

Addons, Patches, apks:

I recommend Wallaby for setting high res wallpaper - its small, simple, free and integrate into android nicely (option when selecting "wallpaper) QR:
Changelog:

Added small notification bar as standard

Made Clockwork Mod an easy installer optional update
Added USB switcher for switching between USB Host/Slave mode
Added taskmanager.apk back in

in my opinion very nice, I will be completely honest - I have compared this and it is mostly advent adding the newer tegra drivers in, there are other differences and additions too though.
would like some feedback from others on the installer and if its working sweet for them (it is for me)

I couldn't decide which way to go with that, I always used the small notification before, some like it some don't. I'll make an update.zip add on. easily done.
Edit: I want to compile it myself too (framework-res) and not use the other one thats available, gives me more experience if I do it myself.

Thanks Higgsy, will give this a go tomorrow. If you are going to modify this yourself, would it be possible to have a semi-transparent small notification bar as an optional update.zip? Or if you know of a good n00b guide to do so, it would be appreciated.

Hi Higgsy,
Thanks for making this easy for us that are not so well informed and those that can't be bothered

Nope don't use it never have, don't like it. If I had the choice I would include the motorola blur email app - coz I like that the best.
Great work Higgsy.
I would like to see button savior installed as default, its a must for the vega. Also would like the small taskbar. Also does this contain flash?
Thanks mate
Small notification bar patch added to the OP, changes something else too, spot the difference.

Again button saviour is a must, I agree, my aim here was to provide a blank canvas with only the basics. To be honest there aint a great deal of space in /system. If people agree then I'll include it in the next release.
Flash included and works, you may need to reinstall it by going into /system/etc/shuttle_priv/selecting the app to install. I'll update the OP coz I forgot about that.
I notice in the screenshot that the kernel version is v1.06 is that a mistake. i have flashed the official firmware and it says v1.08.

Nice work man please port it for xxkb3
Don;t you think the phone hangs alot vivek? I hate it when i see the screen fade slowly and the screen of death appears "Kernel Panic" HAHA GJ Man, Will try this now. Good thing i backed up my android policy jar
Also would you mind uploading the deodexed android policy that would help greatly for those who already applied the vanilla lockscreen.
Why u need the android.policy.jar??

Guys, I'm kinna confused right now!
- I first flashed KPE and deodexed as Misledz pointed out, also installed the Vanilla mod. Things were fine.
- Then I installed this mod, I ran into unexpected exception for Media Scanner.
- I reverted back to originals.
- I decided to just apply the 5 lockscreen mod.
Now, I have Vanilla lock screen with CRT effect and transitions! What on earth has happened here?!

Thanks for this, I was about to post this aswell. I ended up getting FC on media and status bar
Did you reboot your phone after replacing the files???
the animations work due to the files only in framework-res.apk
it also contains the 5 lock screen files
if you use the android policy.jar then it enables the lock screen
but the lockscreen option (not files) come with the settings.apk
the vanilla lockscreen is default for the framework & android.policy
if you use settings.apk then you can select the lockscreen
Ok, Ive been forced to do a reflash twice with this. It screw's over the media scanning which causes FC to the status bar aswell. I think this needs a rework. It's great, Don't get me wrong, But this is highly unstable and might cause other users to be upset aswell since rooting and deodexing is a pain for this firmware :\

The files with the 5 Lockscreen by ronhoover, they work perfectly, It's vivek's mod with the CRT+Glow that didn't and I get a crap load of FC's The phone crashed continuously like a lady driver.
@vivek I followed everything you mentioned in the first post.
- Framework's first then Settings last on first try. Failed
- Framework's last then Settings first on second try.Failed
I can't take a screen because the phone doesn't stay on long enough for me to take one. Everytime I try the phone flashes a black screen then reboots over and over. Power button get's screwed up as well. It won't shut down.

Please Will You Try it one more Time
Because You can use your phone with PC adb
replace the current files with the original deodexed files
then do the following
1) push the framework-res.apk to framework folder
2) then push the jar files to framework folder
3) push the Settings.apk app folder
try and report

@vivek I followed everything you mentioned in the first post.

MetroUI Beta 6 by BroBot175 for Kindle Fire

I have been asked by the developer to start a Kindle Fire thread as we have just worked together on porting his theme to our great device. I have built the latest port with his help so I am able to answer most questions. As BroBot updates his I will port the build to the Kindle.

^^^not what it really looks like on CM7 but a good representation^^^
CM7 Version Released
This CM7 version is based off the forth milestone of the AOKP builds and is available for other devices on his site.
Check out website for screenshots and full change log http://brobot175.co.uk/MetroUI/MetroUI.html
What is it?
This theme allows you to make your homescreen look like the windows 8 metro. It also themes your notifications pannel and taskbar to fit with the MetroUI.
What is it compatable with?
This theme is compatable with Kindle Fire CM7 & CM9, GalaxyTask, Overcome 3G and ICS
Whats to come?
My website is brand new and still in beta so i shall be working on it to clear out any bugs.
I shall add tutorials on how to customize more of the theme like the widgets.
More Widgets.
Any other Bug fixes
News
[9/4] Beta 6 Released. Got rid of villain as it didnt work
[5/4] Beta 5 Released. Added support to all honeycomb and ICS tablets.

[16/3] Added Support For Overcome 3G
If your kindle for any reason goes into a bootloop just flash your ROM again without wipeing anything and it will go back to how you had it
BroBot175 works hard to develop these themes so please offer a donation to help support his development costs.
Hi I built it for CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RCO-Blaze-KANG Rom which I found to be the best working rom for the kindle fire. Flash the rom then the theme in Clockwork I have included a link to the rom below.
Keith
If you're coming from a STOCK ROM then use this version to flash. It will wipe the data and cache partitions (as well as the system partition) as a part of the flash process which should get rid of any FC issues.
http://www.mediafire.com/?7afc1173l7yc0qv
If you're upgrading from an EXISTING CM7 install then use this ROM instead. This one will NOT wipe the cache and data partitions which should mean that you can upgrade from one version of CM7 to another without losing any of your existing data (or that's at least the idea)

Once the system has been flashed you need to set a lot of bits up, takes about an hour from here
Firstly follow all the all the steps on BroBots175 site from Step 3 http://brobot175.co.uk/MetroUI/Setup3.html and I promise it will work.
In short you need to download and copy the MetroUITiles and paste it on your SDCARD, then restore the ADW settings with the "adw_settings" file in the download. Then install an app called "Desktop VisualizeR" from Google Play on your device and and set up Desktop VisualizeR with the settings BroBot175 recommends. Once all this is done you need to make a load of widgets that becomes each of the individual tile. Over and over again.
I hope this helps.

yeah i understand I have to make those things but my confusion is coming from what does flashing that zip do like if nothing changes then what's the point in flashing that zip? Also the first link provided can I use that to flash and start over like factory wipe then flash that zip in first link?

To answer the first question; Ah I understand mate, I didn't get it last night until I worked on the Kindle port today. When building the theme it uses the roms system files and frameworks to allow extra option to appear in the options once you start adding the tiles (Widgets) and allows the system to align the tiles together correctly.
Second question; yes mate thats what I did after I tested it and knew it worked.
EDIT CORRECTION FROM DEVELOPER - Sorry!
If you look at my screenshots the bar at the bottom has metro style home back and other icons and the notification pannel also
you change these images by flashing the theme as these images are in the framework-res.apk and the systemui.apk
I got lazy and didnt do it because for cm7 I had to rename all the images so they would work with your device.
With what youve done you dont really need to flash the zip for it to work unless you just want to install desktop visualised.
were working on a fix
Yo I need you to port this to the original rom I requested because the rom you ported this to doesn't let me play games like grand theft auto and order and chaos or at least I can't find it I'm the market which I assume means that the build.prop or something on kangs rom that isnt set up like the cm7 bare bones.
Yes mate, I am running all these games, send me your email and ill email you the build.prop with instructions its a five minute easy fix. I play order and chaos perfect on this Rom downloaded from Google play. This is why my signature says i have a gt p1000 ie Samsung galaxy tab.
I have nearly finished making a games tile set and the order and chaos one looks mint ill send it aswell.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda premium
Só this is just a theme, the live tiles is made using desktop visualizer right
Correct the reason there is a flash install process is to change the theme of the cm7 UI to match the metro style and add special Widgets. You could keep the ui the same and make the tiles by adding the metroui folder and using visualized app so you don't need to flash.

Hi mate I have sent you an email but for anyone else email me and ill send you the build.prop file. If you already have one just follow these steps.
To get this to work for me I didn't overwrite the file as it does not work for some reason.
1st – Backup your original build.prop in the /system folder to somewhere but keep a copy there still as we are going to edit this.
2nd – Copy my build.prop to your sdcard
3rd – Long press on my file and open and edit in text editor or equivalent, select all text and copy.
4th – Exit the file and navigate to your /system folder activate rw access at the top of the screen so you can edit the file.
5th – Open your build.prop and select all text then delete, once deleted paste the text from my build.prop file you should now see the device name says a GT 1000 etc
6th – Close the file and it should ask you to save it, disable rw back to ro and exit file browser.
7th – Reboot your device and once your back in go to menu/settings/about and see if your device name has changed to the GT 1000 if it has exit and open google play type in "gameloft" and all the games should now show and allow you to install.
If this helps you mate please thank me on the forum, I am new to the forum and I am trying to build my credibility up.
Take Care
Keith
So, if I'm from another CM7 I would have to flash the second ROM and then follow brobots 's instruction then I would have to do the theming myself!
And can you send the build.prop file, I saw your instruction involving copy & pasting text, why can't we move the whole build.prop file to the system directory, then we don't have to do it too long and confusing, my email is: [email protected]
Thanks A lot for this theme, and I thanked you on both of your post, expect to see another awesome update soon.
PS: Does this work with CM9, if it's not, could you consider porting it!

There are a few ways you can look at this, if you just want to add the Metro them icons to your screen just download the image pack in BroBots175 step 3 and install appalizer then set it up. the only reason to flash the rom is to give your cm7 interface buttons the metro look (i.e. back button, menu button etc), however you don't need to.
I don't know why the build.prop files does not work when you just overwrite the file? maybe it's signed in someway? I do know that it works in the way that I described so thats how I do it.
Tiles for apps and games.
Hi I have made a few tiles for games and apps that I use. I haven't followed the theme too much as I like to see the correct images on my games icons, but I have added a download link incase anyone wants them. I have put two pictures below so you can see them.

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a usefull addition and not just a cute novelty. we're calling it: Hybrid Mode, best of both worlds.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

No. Use the custom recovery that's linked.
I still don't know how to install the ROM
Download the ROM, GApps, and recovery.img from the OP
Download and open the EZ recovery app from HERE
Select custom, then select the box with 3 dots... find the d2vzw_recovery.img you downloaded in step 1 part B., select flash, then Reboot Recovery
From CWM recovery, Perform a nandroid backup from the backup/restore menu
Wipe data/factory reset
Select install .zip from sd and install the rom you downloaded in step 1 part A.
Select install .zip from sd and install the gapps package you downloaded in step 1 part B.

I'm in a bootloop. Help!
This is normal for now. The phone will reboot multiple times, but will get to the bootanimation and eventually boot up. Do not freak out.
Something went wrong! Can you help me?
I'd love to help you, but I need a little more information about your issue. You should provide us with information regarding what your issue causes and what you did before the issue started. However, before asking me and the community, ask yourself two simple questions:
Can I reproduce the error?
Have I looked for a solution?
If you answered "yes" to both of these questions and came up empty handed, then post it in the thread and it will be addressed. Even more helpful would be if you got a logcat. Like so:
Code:
adb logcat > logcat.txt
OR (the better way so we dont have to keep downloading logs)
Code:
adb logcat
Paste the terminal output here (you don't need to register): http://pastebin.com/
Click "submit"
Share your link/logcat
When I use the camera the phone freezes and I have to do a battery pull...I thought it was fixed? (1.9.1a)
It is fixed. It's just a pretty hacky fix. To take a picture, you will have to tap the screen to focus the camera BEFORE taking the picture. If you just press the camera button, the phone will freeze.
Can you add *this* to the ROM?
Although I'm not obligated to add anything and everything to the ROM, I will do our best to supply your desires and live up to your expectations. Do not mistake this for a guarantee. I would like to do everything, but I may not be able to.
I'm experiencing some force closes, what gives?
Boot into recovery and fix permissions. Reboot.

Hopefully you already have adb installed (I'm assuming you do). You are going to want to download the recovery.img beanstown106/Team Epic has provided us with and then move it into the directory where you have adb installed (usually in "platform-tools" or "tools" in the android-sdk). Then cd to that directory using terminal or cmd (depending on your OS).
It should look something like:
Code:
cd .../Desktop/android-sdk/platform-tools
Once you do that, then enter each of the above commands (in the OP) in descending order. When it finishes, you're done.
:highfive:
Im guessing we will have the same issues we are having with cm9/cm10? like camera and possible imei disappearing?

Very cool boot animation. 4G is working really well for me. Very smooth rom. I have not experienced any bugs as of yet, but then again I've only been up for less than a hour.
Rom is running awsome so far!!
can someone check the camera and also wifi tether.
Basically this Rom will try to convert your phone into tablet and ended up getting tiny fonts!
Sent from my S3 using xda premium
The fonts are not really small on this by default. I kept the default setup and the fonts are close to stock size.
The camera froze on me after one picture. I got an "gallery not responding" error. I thought I read there was a fix if the gallery.apk was replaced.

Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300 MT6575
Hello Everybody!
I own a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300 CLONE, the MT6575.
It is possible to put Android on this phone, and there are different versions which you can put on your phone, however, not all of them work fully. I am not responsible if you brick your phone, or any damage done to it, but hopefully, there shouldn't be much damage done.
Not sure this is your phone?
If you have any doubts that this is not your phone, please do not download or use the roms linked here, This can destroy your phone!
As I only have the MT6575, I do not know the differences between this and other phones, but this phone should have 2 Sim card slots (Covered with silver foil to start off with), and a battery which reads SUNSANG (Not SAMSUNG).
Some Images:
Sorry that some are pretty bad quality, I was using a temp. webcam when I took them and the webcam had a bad resolution.
UPDATE: I now have a galaxy ace so im not going to be using this phone much. I found a replacement charging port as mine broke. Any problems reply here and somebody will try to help! I dont check back often here, but i know some users do. Not many people have this phone so i thinnk this thread is kinda dead! If anybody wants to update the roms and stuff, feel free. I dont host the roms, its Pappiedappie, so pm him if you cant get the links! Have fun with this fun, its a decent phone for the price! Good luck![/URL]

(MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt or MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt, depending on which phone you have) for your device and ignore any message that may appear.
Turn off your phone, remove the battery and replace it after some seconds (and don't turn on the phone).
Press F9 (or hit Download button) and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
The process will start and a red progress bar will appear.
After the red progress bar is complete, there will appear a purple progress bar.
Right after the purple progress bar is complete, a message will appear underneath it:
“Please insert USB cable in x seconds” and then the download will start right away (you will see the yellow progress bar filling up).
When the yellow bar is complete, you'll get a popup with a green circle and Download OK message,
which means that the process has been successfully terminated.
You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on. The process ends here.
Flashing only part of the ROM
In case you want to flash just one part of the ROM, that is also possible. In the shown example, only recovery image will be flashed.
Deselect all parts except the one(s) you want to flash and then press F9 (or hit Download button).
The tool will immediately show a warning because not all parts are selected, but you should continue anyway. Safely press Yes to continue.
The download of the chosen partition image will start and after the yellow bar is complete, the popup with the green circle should appear.
Please note that, even though it isn't mandatory to select it on the list of images to flash,
preloader file must be present in the same folder as the other partition(s) that you want to flash, or else phone will not be able to enter into download mode.
Attention: Please follow the instructions carefully. I will not take any responsibility on whatever may happen with your phone.
Very important warning: Always make sure that you trust the sources of the ROM you download and know that it is meant for your phone.
After flashing a wrong preloader, your phone will be completely dead (can't be powered on, it will not charge and won't be detected anymore by the computer) and there is no way to recover it.

Hi,
In this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1921178), if you read through it, I believe there is also somebody else who has a 1 sim phone.
If you take off the back cover, above the battery, there may be a CONCEALED 2nd sim slot, under some foil. If there is, You should have the right phone as the one in this forum, if not, check the other thread.
Cool. I will follow. I have this phone but my battery does indeed say samsung. I have two and they both say samsung.
Nice..good luck with this thread. As long as I own such phone I'll follow this thread and will help when possible. Keep on this work.
if possible op please upload the 4.1 rom on dev host

Hiya,
I don't actually know how to make the roms, they have been created by others. If you have a link, please PM me it, so i can put it on the main page. However, I think the last link in PappieDappie's sig. is 4.1.1 Dekdee?
I thought that seeming as the other old thread never got updated, I should make a new one, as it would help new people find their way.
Also, if you see a samsung galaxy sIII theme for andriod, please let me know, as normal andriod looks a lil different from samsung andriod
thanks

Hi...
Wonderful Thread......and very informative.......Just couple of suggestions........
1) If you could ask / request all users and posters in this thread to include 2 Pics of their Phone....front and Back (with back cover removed, showing battery, SIM(s)and Memory Card) .....this so everyone can figure out what phone He or She is using and would seek any help from the User of same phone.
2) If you could attach the Pics of the ROM (s) that are posted here.......along with the About System Pic.
I think it would be very helpful to you.....and to all the Users of this thread.....Everyone will know exactly what they are looking for.
Also.....if these ROMS's can be flashed via CWM or Custom Recovery.......that information can also be provided....
these are just suggestions......
Thanxxx

You have to change the home screen background too. On your launcher, press the left menu button, then System Settings, Display, Wallpaper and pick a option from there.
Then again, it depends what rom you are using.

Tips
Hey! I have some tips!! I have a camera.apk that works for our phone. You have to push it to system though. It has camera, video, and panroma (sorry I don't know how to spell it) works perfectly it's not upside down!!! I also have svoice if you want it.I also suggest you guys use xposed if youre rooted and then use tweakbox if you want to change your status bar and clock color! It's so easy!!
Also, I tweaked my 4.1.9 rom, but I'm not sure how to put it together like a zip so others can use it! There are some pics of my rom using nova launcher!
