Try switching to "Standard" or "Cool" in additional settings > contrast & colors > colors (it may be set to warm)
having the same problem ,compare to my REDMI 2 ,yellowish very obvious at the bottom part of the screen
Dull/Yellowish Strip at the lower bottom of the Display
I have noticed that the lower bottom (Just above to the navigation key) there is some dull color as compare to the rest of the display. I have installed some of screen/display testing apps on the phone and I notice that there is some issue with that. Has anyone else notice, It is not noticeable easily but with screen testing app you will notice the difference especially when the display is full white and bright. Also that part of the display make some different sound when you tap it with your finger like some kind of hollow thing but when you tap on the rest of the screen you will notice the sound feel like solid. Please let me know of someone has experience the same.
I m not facing this issue. My whole display looks same. Whole display have a little yellowish tilt. Due to to this black looks more dark.

Hi,
I want to get more cold color temperature. Also overall white balance - everything seems to be too warm and yellow. I can't change this using CM color Hue setting, because it doesn't change white balance, it only makes all colors to be weird. Also I found display when using revovery (for example , twrp), screen seems to be more cold color, no warm no yellow and they say Color OS has colder display too.
So it this some kernel related setting, etc? Some kind of hidden system configuration (build.prop or similar files)? How can I force colors to be colder, how can I change white balance. This is because that yellow colors are very annoying for me. Did you experienced the same?
On my Nexus 5 I have a slight lightbleeding on the top of the screen. It goes all the cross the top. Have anyone seen this on their device?
The weird thing about it is, that it is almost invisible when the topbar is black, but very much visible when the topbar is e.g. blue, red, yellow, …
I'm not even sure what it is, maybe it is just a nocebo effect, I think it is there so it is and it is annoying the hell out of me.
I attached a photo of it, It was made next to a window with low backlight.
Light bleed
Hey guys, I was using my phone browsing the web when suddenly the white point changed! The screen turned slightly purple and I think it is due to Samsung's adaptive display and my purple LIFX bulbs.
Here is a video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujVIFA5LESQ
Any one notice this with their S6? Its running Marshmallow if you guys were wondering.
After seen your video , i tested , and with the purple color in the background , the white colour get a little bit darker , when u look in recent apps it becomes again white. tried with other colors and white didn`t changed.
Hello. I would like to share my problem with you. I own a galaxy s8 +, like many of you)
And I was faced with this fact. When I put a dark or black background on the main screen of my smartphone, I get a visible light at the top of the screen. It can be seen clearly in a dark room. Below I will attach a screenshot. But that's the thing, this light is only visible on the main home screen. In the screen verification app, on a black background, I do not observe this problem.
I want to say that the light at the top of the screen is only observed on the main screen of the phone. When viewing images or elsewhere this is not observed
What can be wrong ??
Just a heads up to everyone who has an S10e The color saturation of the screen even when Vivid is enabled doesn't display the saturation correctly... To fix this "enable blue light filter" and set it at the lowest possible then go back and look at a picture, you will see how it is no longer washed out.
You can see the correct color saturation with "blue light filter" off while in the recent apps screen but once you return to the image it washes out. I figured out applying "blue light filter" corrects it for now!
I hope this helps!!!
I assume they are going to fix this in a future update. Cheers! ?

many thanks! wondered why it was looking washed out.

Seleting vivid to me doesn't do what it should be doing.
I have found that applying "blue light filter" and setting it's effect to minimum fixes the color saturation and reverses the washed out look on images. Another way is to go into visibility enhancements -> color adjustment -> then either apply a filter there like "Tritan" or "personalize color" and follow the steps. To me I cannot see any difference between the above steps or just simply applying "blue light filter" set to minimum. To me both look to correct the color saturation about the same.

Hey is this happening after the latest update or its happening right out of the box
Out of the box. Having it too
We should write to Samsung about this so they could release an update guys !
Good catch!
Now I know the reason why my Motorola Z3 Play displays beautiful colors when browsing my pictures and the S10e looks dull.
I thought Motorola's AMOLED display is oversaturated. It turns out that there is a bug in the display of the S10e.
Thanks for this. I just applied blue light filter and now it's fixed.
I don't notice a huge difference
Can someone tell me how to see how Natural & Vivid are washed out?
It makes quite a bit of difference on natural. By default white looks kind of yellowish. By enabling the blue light filter on minimal it looks like theres actually more blue added to the color balance. Like the default has a blue light filter applied that's stronger and it gets unset by the filter.
May be that it's by design though. They did make a point that the s10's displays have 30% or so less blue light because it's better for health.
Before I had the screen set to vivid, temp centered and then the green slider all the way to the left and the red slider almost all the way to the left. And the blue slider all the way to the right. This seems like a much better color balance than the default as well. Offcourse you do get the oversatured old style 'Samsung' colors this way. It makes the whites seem a lot whiter.
I also noticed this when I compared the displays of my S8 side by side my new S10e. I used the same content and the colour saturation on the s10e was noticeably duller. The blue light filter trick on lowest seems to have resolved it for me also.
I'll have to tinker with the vivid colour channel settings for fun to see if that does the same.
Good catch
have you Tried using the use sRGB option in developer options?
