SGP Wireless Charger - Galaxy S6 Accessories

Today I received the SGP Wireless Charger. It has 3 Coils with Free Positioning Technology.
It looks alot like the Tylt Vu charger. Probably must be an OEM version.
It comes with the wireless charging stand and a USB 2.0 cable. We need to use a 2A output voltage adapter with this wireless charger. It is a requirement.
The charging seams to be pretty quick. I always prefer to get a standing wireless charger because I can check out my e-mails or notices while I am working at the office. No need to pick up the phone.
Here are some pictures of the box and the wireless charger.
Using this with my Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. So far I am not having the Wireless Charging Paused beep with this wireless charger.

Here are more pictures.

Does it charge your phone with case?

Pretty well and quick. No issues yet.

Hm. I did not know that Spigen made wireless chargers. I have a CHOE charger, and it works very well for me. How much was the Spigen one?

I am in Hong Kong and I got it for HK $399 (US $ 51.50)

Does it make the charging sound repeatedly when it reaches 100%, as some people with Tylt vu chargers are complaining about?

Forget about the cheap charger, even with my Samsung Wireless Charger, the S6 Edge+ won't charge. Look at this: https://youtu.be/SfiGk6C3Yso
I bought a 60 dollar stand up charger at best buy and it works great! I had to take the Samsung one back it just blinked. Three days on this stand up one and no problems!
My old samsung wireless charger works. This one
There are still high quality wireless chargers at reasonable prices. Read the reviews before giving it a shot.
i have a problem and need solution
I have the old Nokia Charger and it works fine with and without the case.
Wireless charger...isn't it a new concept to rob money from our pocket? For me, I would prefer to stay with wall charger
For the record, THIS charger does the same thing with my S6 Edge +. I can actually sit here and watch the battery drain while allegedly charging.
I use a Choe Stadium 3 coil and it charges my phone insanely fast.
That sucks. I bought few Nokia DT-900 when they were on sale for $6. It charges my phone just fine.
I use this wireless charger with the adapter and power cord that came with the s6 edge+. Works very well. Works with my galaxy s5 also. Lugulake wireless charger

Stadium wireless charger is actually upgraded to 7.5w output, the charging rate is faster than most other cheap wireless chargers.

Wireless charging is cool if the charging speed could be improved, i guess that's why Samsung use 10w wireless charger this time, 2 hours with wireless charging compared with 1.5 hours with wired charging, charging speed would not be a big concern anymore.

I totally agree. And I also notice that some brands start adding quick charge function on power bank, if that happen, we don't have to take 1 to 2 days to charge a 20000mAh power bank anymore, so excited for that.
I was waiting for some 3rd party company to come up with a fast wireless chargers. Finally here's one : http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Lighting-Qi-Enabled-Adaptive-Included/dp/B015351V9U/
Soon , rest will join... I'm so pissed off with Samsung right now, I'm getting one of these for sure! I'll put up a review once I receive one!

Wireless charging worry free

I've seen more than a few questions arise about certain wireless chargers and restrictions, but don't worry. My wife has the Mophie wireless charging case and charging pad for the iPhone 7+ and the built wireless charging on the S8+ is compatible both with and without a case. So for anyone spending extra for a specific wireless charging package keep it simple it works!
It may not work with every FAST wireless charger... I have 6 that I used withe S7 Edge that worked great, but 4 of them do not work with the S8+ for no obvious reason....
link to the one you have....Also are you using your supplied cable?
I got the RooRoo (stupid name) on amazon for $21 and it's been working fine with my S8+. Got it for the S7E originally. Supports fast charge and doesn't have any trouble. Phones in a case and the charger is only tall enough to touch just below the camera.
Edit: I do both technically. If I need to use my phone or I am at work, I tend to just have a corded charger I use. Else wise I use the wireless stand.

happen to have a link for that charger? and how thick is the wifes iphone 7 case? im getting the poetic revolution case for my s8 and wondering if that will work. lol, this case doesnt look to be near as thick as the poetic one for my lg g4...but never tried wireless with it.
thank you
I noticed that the battery temperature hits 38 degrees C when wirless charging (both on fast and normal) while not exceed 26 C in weird non fast charging, ambient temp was 19 C in all cases.
Will the higher battery temp during wirless charging degrade the battery? Does anyone know?

I received my Samsung Wireless Fast Charger yesterday in the mail. Man, I LOVE this thing! 1st time using Wireless charging, I didn't know what i was missing....
Works just fine through my Spigen Neo Hybrid case on my S8+
I got 2 of the Elephas fast charge wireless stands for my S8+ and my wife's S8.. They don't work much at all, despite their positive reviews.. When using the adapter the came with the phones, they continue pause charging every second, until the phone gives up and says it's not compatible. If I plug them into a iphone adapter or a pc via usb, they charge but still randomly stop sometime through the night. Usually in the 80%'s.. Going to try different chargers..

I got a cheap as chips wireless charger from Ebay, £5.99, Not fast charger, but works perfectly, stops charging when battery is full, got my supplied charger if i want to fast charge but for just general use sitting next to my laptop i love it. Can just pick the phone up and use it then lay it back down and it'll stay topped up. Was thinking of the official Samsung one.......glad i didn't
I have no idea why one would spend 1,000€ on a device then skimp on a 40-50€ Samsung charger? Like buying a Merc' or BMW etc then using xxxx 40€ seat covers or floor mats.
With all the controversy regarding the subject of third party chargers be they wall or wireless for the small financial difference I always go for the Samsung branded accessories. Typically me though, not all the same are we?

Lol, I hear you. Now behave yourself lol, you can't be THAT skint to purchase the S8+ :highfive:
This is a tough debate. Numerous threads on XDA cover this point and so many owners have damaged their mobiles using third part chargers. At the very least take a very careful look at the specs on any third party charger and ensure they are identical to the charger that came in the box, even then there can be problems though? Its a gamble.
Please look after yourself and your mobile eh?

Easy to purchase when you have been on mobile contracts for donkeys years
The rating on my supplied charger says output is 5v - 2.0a and the wireless says 5v - 1000ma
Been wirless charging since the note 3 days.

Wireless Charging

Yup. As the title says, what wireless charger are you using and how well does it work?
I've got an old Tylt Vu from my Note 3 and Nexus 6 but I was never really a fan of it. Felt like it killed the battery life span quicker. So I'm a little hesitant about using it with the V30.
that's one of the features I miss the most since since I upgraded to U11
Waiting for the V30 bootloader unlocked version to get released.
Using the pad from Microsoft that I bought with my windows phones (yes plural). It does well, also a JBL Bluetooth speaker that came out at the same time which also works well.

Here is what I found, after answering my own question in Q&A...
tekkneke said:
After digging a little deeper, I figured it out. There are two commonly distributed versions of Qi wireless charging right now, and those are five watt and 10 Watt. 10 watt has been widely labeled as fast charging. However, there is now a 15 watt standard that is so new that it is pretty hard to get the pads for currently.
As luck would have it our brand new phone uses the brand new standard. So this means we get awesome super fast wireless charging, but it is very hard to find the pads at a decent price. Older pads do work, of course, but at the 5w speed. I tested and was unable to get any faster result from the 10w pad vs the 5w.
The 2 that I found that existed are an Incipio Ghost 15w, and Belkin Boost Up 15w wireless charging pad. The Incipio one runs $60 and only appears to be available on their website right now. The Belkin one is on Amazon for $60 but is currently backordered. There is another seller selling for $70 on Amazon, but I'm sure those will sell out soon.
Another option is AT&T who has the Belkin at the $70 retail price. They seem to have them in stock in their warehouse but very limited stock in stores.

As far as cheaper chargers if you don't want to spring for the Belkin right now, out of what was on Amazon, Anker's fast charging pad seems to be a good value. If it is still out of stock when you look, there was a Spigen one that also seems to be good quality.
Both have the overcharge protection (according to their respective websites).

Personally using this one does seem to work great on my S8+ and my V30 and it does do fast charging.
Anker Wireless Charger Charging Pad
I have the tylt vu -- Worked without a case, but when I put the case on (Spigen Rugged Armor) it only works when the phone is in landscape mode, or in portait mode (upside down). I'm using in it landscape mode now, but may switch to a different solution later.
Had the RavPower charger in my cart but decided against it. Not sure why. I've never tried any of their stuff before but there's a really good deal where you can get it for about $11. I think my issue was that it mentions 15W charging a lot in the Amazon page but in the specs it only lists 10W. Might still do the Belkin one. I just have to drive a bit to get to a shop that has it in stock.

I have the Tylt Vu and the Spigen Rugged Armor case installed as well. The phone does charge when put on the charger normally. I've just found that you have to set the phone exactly in the middle of the charger for it to work. If it's off by even a few millimeters, it seemingly won't charge. It's kind of annoying, just have to be extra cautious when placing the phone on the charger.
I'm probably gonna give that CHOETECH Qi Fast Charge Wireless Charger Stand (linked above) a shot.

Ditto on the Tylt Vu with case. Tried it out yesterday. I want to pick up a "fast charger" to see if there's an actual difference in charging rates and behavior of the V30. (As in, will it ever say fast charging or will it just do it and not say it.) I'll probably just pick up one of the cheapie fast charge ones although I notice they all just charge at 10W and not the 15W.

Since I tend to only use wireless charging at night while I'm sleeping, I actually prefer slow chargers, which is why the Tylt Vu is pretty perfect. I've read that over using fast charging can kill your battery faster so I only use the USB C fast charger when I need a quick refill.

Probably the heat from quick charging. I know they've been working on that and that's why charging starts quick when the battery is empty and slows down the fuller it gets now. I try not to leave my phone on the charger when it's full except when driving. For the most part, the drive in and out of work are two of the three times I'll throw it on a charger. I might bring my Vu or one of those 10W puck chargers to work and just top off whatever the drive doesn't get. I don't think I've had this phone get below 80% more than once so far. It just sips.
I have this one and first test got about 70% charge in under 2 hrs. I have a fairly thick TPU case on though. WIll need more tests, but I think it's good. What should the speed be with perfect wireless fast charge?

Question 25W magnetic wireless desktop charger ??

Hi,
Does anyone know if such a thing exists ? It seems that the only magnetic wireless desktop chargers are for iphones and hence seem to top out at 7.5w. I have bought: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08S6XQFDM Which allows you to sue magnetic wireless chargers, but I'd like to get one that can utilise the 25w charging capability of my new Z Flip 4.
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated !
Thanks in advance,
Jeremy
Just to clarify, 25w is only wired charging. For wireless, max is 10w only so look for qi magnetic chargers for that speed. This one says it can do max 15w wireless https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Positioning-Placement-Operation-Compatible/dp/B096W24V1H
Thanks NguyenHuu - good to understand that clarification. Will take a look at that stand.

As far as I can see in the available specs, the wireless is up to 15W and this is something that I'm actually seeing (without the actual current measurements, just perceptibly) - the phone seems to charge quicker on my Samsung 15W QI charger than the Flip 3, which supposedly had 10W wireless charging. The brick for that charger is also 15W, so it seems legit.
I'm using a generic 15 Qi watt wireless charger from Amazon. Was dirt cheap, Did not come with wall plug. Using a generic 25 watt charger (same specs as Samsungs wired charger) my phone reports charging from about 12 -14watts. Charges up quick. Why the 25 watt? The old wall plug I was using was 10 or less and would take all night to charge if 35% or less left on battery. So if you use Qi 15 watt wireless, just make sure your wall plug is up to speed.
PS that free flip case they gave out with the strap and metal lug will not allow wireless through it. Case and strap too thick. Probably why they are dumping them for free.
Yeah, the rapid wireless charging is the thing I will miss most about the Pixel 6 Pro.

Accessories Slow and fast wireless chargers compatible with OtterBox defender pro

I have two p7p's scheduled to arrive next week for my wife and I. We will both have the phones in OtterBox defender pro cases which are pretty thick. These cases are listed as being compatible with wireless charging, but I am concerned about this and if it's across the board or if wireless charging will actually only work with some chargers. I have a defender case on a work iPhone, and the wireless charger in my truck doesn't reliably penetrate it.
I want slow trickle chargers for overnight charging at our bedside, and I want a fast wireless charger to set in the kitchen for days when we need a fast top off of 20-30% to get through the day. What are you guys using? Id like something that works with the defender and is also not going to blow up or start a fire. Lol.
I have the exact same setup, and any store bought wireless chargers work. I have 2 Anker charges that work well, and 3 various no name charges that work just as well. Mine nor my wife's car charger works with it. So that is common issue. For fast charging, only the Google charger base will do a fast charge on pixel phones. Google locks that down. But I have discovered that if you have a USB 4 thunderbolt port, like off of a computer or something else, it will do the rapid charge without the Google lockdown.
I don't wirelessly charge, but my no-name one bedside-mounted phone holder that I use for reading purposes supports wireless charging, and at another user's request, I tested wireless charging my P7P through my OtterBox Defender Pro case and it worked just fine. Probably most any quality brand would work, too.
I have no doubt the Gen 2 wireless charger from Google will work for you and it has the ability to select slow or rapid charging. I use slow charging myself overnight with a Spigen Rugged Armor case without any issues at all.
My wife and I have the Defender Pro and slow charge overnight with no issues. I have a old Verizon wireless charger and newer Mophie one. I'm not sure if the fast charge will work with that case being so thick.
How many watts are your guys' "slow" chargers? What's considered "healthy"? Everyone has stated they have the chargers I'm after. Can you provide a link?
my unit has got only 3.3w on pixel stand 2 until it cool down to 30 degree and switch to 7w. Never got advertised 23w wireless charging. Wired charging ~18w until it get 39 degree and slow down to 12 until it cool down
