I tried to search and look around in this forum and still cannot resolve my problem.
I just installed MX Player pro. I ripped and made one MKV movie file from bluray with embedded subtitles in the file.
I tested the file with my TV and DUNE HD player and also tested this file on my computer with XBMC, VLC media play. The movie can be played smoothly and I can control, select, enable, or disable subtitles as usual.
However, when I loaded the file to my Samsung Note 8, MX player pro can play movie smoothly and fine. The only problem is that there is no subtitle shown, although I selected or enabled subtitles.
I also tried enable and disable in Setting > Subtitle > Enable Subtile and Setting > Subtitle > Enable Embeded Subtiles , but it doesn't help.
Please suggest.

Did you check subtitle track button on the playback screen?
There may a speech balloon button on the upper right corner of the playback screen, if video have one or more subtitle tracks.

Hi bleu8888, do you mean the mini button on the right corner? There are H/W, subtitles, audio.
Yes I checked it. I enabled one, two, or sometimes even all of them, but no subtitle is shown.
Note: I just tested the file with "VLC for android" and it works as expected. All subtitles work fine.
Thus, I guess there must be some missing or incorrect configuration in my MX Player Pro. Please help.

You can use Avdshare Video Converter to removing subtitles from MKV with the help of an MKV Subtitle Remover named MKV Subtitle Remover.
Please tell me howbto insert the .srt file in the mx player, please.. i'm really excited about this one
Are you serious? video and subtitle should have same name with own extension in a same folder. eg. video.mkv video.srt . You can open subtitle from video player too. Play a video and click option --> subtitle --> open --

The KODI is configured to automatically download subtitles.
When I run any video that had the subtitles automatically downloaded by KODI, the subtitles only displays the times of the speech, not the text (example attached)
To try to solve this problem, I made the following tests:
I tried to run the file both locally and by streming
I tried to run video files of different formats (AVI, MP4, MKV)
I tried to run on another device (MX PLAYER attached report)
I tested several text codification settings
I tried to change the subtitles folder
I tried to rename the subtitles
subtitles only worked properly when I downloaded through the MX PLAYER or when I manually download the subtitles and copied to the SD card
I would love it to be possible to watch videos without having to download the legend again.
I am sending attached:

Next version will be able to handle this case.
For example, if the video name is GOT5010.MP4, the subtitle name should be GOT5010.SRT. After you start playing the video, click on the three dotted menu and select the Subtitle option. Here, select Import subtitle and select the SRT file you transferred for the video file. That's it, enjoy the subtitles
Hello, MX Player does not respect the "Forced" subtitle flag in MKV files.
Other players like Kodi can do this properly, so all the forced (=important) subtitles of a MKV file will be displayed automatically!
Can this be added in a future release? Thanks in advance.
