No 4g were I'm at. Sadly :/
But I want to see what speeds you guys are getting off on 4G.
So that being said. What 4G speeds are guys pulling off? (Prefer pictures of your speed test text is also fine)

Trust me, it's WAY better than Sprint's WiMax. I came from an Evo and I know that for sure.
Also just FYI, the overall signal quality in LA isn't as good as in San Diego, but not to the level where you will have problems.
I get about 16 down and 4 up. I live outside of Baltimore and seem to have 4g everywhere I travel. Washington DC coverage seems to be hit or miss though. The speeds of this device are incredible.

I've done speedtests all over L.A. and the slowest I've gotten is here at work in a brick building next to a hill with bad reception for all carriers, and I get about 8/1 here. Everywhere else I get much better speeds, sometimes 20+/10+.
Well I happen to work next to the Airport in Salt Lake City, Utah so I only get 4G coverage at work. I take that back, I think the coverage is there because I work next to one of Verizon's largest call centers. Regardless my speeds are lopsided.
I'm getting about 12.5MB/second Down and 26.5MB/second Up
Most of you guys have BS scores. You cant use speedtests app... even the 2.0 version is crap.

That being said Im getting around 18 down, 3-4 up in the Lehigh Valley PA.
Interesting story from Wired.
Kind of sad how slow the rest are compared to Verizon...

Verizon has 700mhz for the spectrum their LTE network is on. Sprint's WiMax is on 2500mhz, the highest of all for cell phone coverage, thus is absolutely sucks indoors worse than anything else. Sprint's 3G is on 1900 which is also sucky and worse than tmobile's 1700 for 3G which AT&T is looking to buy to put their LTE on. Verizon by far is going to have the best 4g coverage for a multitude of reasons.

The speedtest app has been working correctly for me for awhile now. I just pulled identical speeds using the speedtest app, speedtest.net, and speakeasy.net. The Speakeasy test is also powered by Ookla, the same people who make the speedtest app and the speedtest.net website, they're all the same.

As more 4g devices are sold our connection will get slower and slower you can't really expect 20mb down can you? I mean Sprint network only gets 3 down on 4g ours won't get that slow but just a comparison.

5 up and 3 down here also, it has slowed way down for me!!!
Had that problem the other day. I was getting mid/low 2s. 5 isn't that bad. It's advertised speeds are 5-12.
EDIT: Just checking my speeds now, getting low 2s again.
that should be around what it should be once lte gets more and more used right?

I'm getting no issues on mine. Speeds are still the way they were. ~25down ~6-7up (in mbps)
of course that could change as more people jump in to the lte bandwagon.
In Cincinnati I was pulling 30ish down the first week, and now I am seeing consistant 11 everywhere, and in some places 15-20. Depends on where I am. Same signal strengh where I am at home and at work, but at work I do sit around 20 down, and at home 11ish.
Pretty happy with LTE over all, compaired to the WiMax I had that I couldn't even get in my house. lol.
23.09 Mbps down and 15.75 Mbps down here, it stays about the same all day, give or take 5 Mbps.
thats on CM7 though, im sure on stock it would be higher.
It's been the same for me and better too. At work my speed has been consistently ~17-20Mbps. The difference in the last week has been at my house, where I've gone from ~5-9Mpbps to ~15-20Mbps, rivaling my home FIOS connection. WOOT!
As long as VZW continue to expand their 4G network, it should be relatively easy for everyone to break 10Mbps
I haven't seen any noticeable difference here in the Metro-Detroit area. Last speedtest i ran was around 13-15 up and 4-5 down.
One thing to remember is that the speedtest.net app doesn't give consistent or accurate readings. If you go to speedtest.net from your phone's browser, you'll see much more accurate results.
Just ran a speedtest and got 30 down and 7 up. No difference at all for me. I'm in Baltimore, MD.

i dont live in philly but ive never tested above high 7's down/up. fastest has been 7.8ish down and the same up. normally it's between 5 and 6. i've been to and thru the city a lot since getting the TB @ launch, including testing with 4 bars on a boat under the Commodore Barry Bridge, elsewhere on the Delaware river, and a few miles up the Schuylkill with no obstructions and the fastest was still mid-7s. Also have done tests in Olde City, near the sports complex, and in centre city. nothing above 8.
across the river in NJ along the 295 corridor i get the same 4G speeds as philly. i've never tested faster than 8mbps down anywhere so far, which includes all of philly, northern DE near Wilmington, and the baltimore-DC corridor and greater DC.
running stock non-rooted with speedtest.net app. via wifi @ home i hit my advertised speeds of 16-20 down
maybe our 4G just sucks...didnt they even do initial LTE testing here? verizon is extremely present and active in phila. since it's basically a home city for them.

Actually I'd say your 4G rocks and is the best management of Verizon's network. They advertise 5-12Mbps down and 2-5Mbps up, and you are in the middle to low end of that guaranteed speed down and easily in the middle to top of the upload. That means Verizon is paying for the right amount of bandwidth to all of their towers in the area that you have been on, without overpaying to have way more than is needed like the people getting 16Mbps all the time. That 16Mbps means they have like 2x more bandwidth than needed, so they are paying the ISP's twice what they really need to and are thus making less money, from a business standpoint your region is the perfectly managed area. If your average speeds drop below 5Mbps be sure to call in and complain though.
Meh this LTE network is finckey. I probably should have specified that im in more of the suburbs in Radnor near Villanova

up 1.34 mbps
I'm in one of the cities and so far it's a touch slower. I get an ok signal here at work though so I'm going to test more around town. I usually average 6-7 Mbps with max 10 Mbps seen. That's pretty good so I don't really expect a huge change.
I thought you need a 42 Mbps capable phone to see the new speeds. I think currently only T-Mobile's Rocket 3.0 USB stick can go there.
but the sensation still supposed to be able to get 14 mbps down, so i would think it would still be faster than what i was seeing b4, just a thought
I personally think the speed increase is BS.
Well,i never seen anything above 3Mbps on my Sensation and i'm in NYC (Queens) ,so as they say talk is cheap

You gotta keep in mind those are theoretical speeds. LTE is supposed to be capable of reaching 100 Mbps down, but most people average around 15-20 Mbps down.
They advertise best possible connection. Like home internet, Comcast promises me 20's but im around 15's. I bet if you had a capable device and were standing on top of a wireless tower you would be able to get the bandwith their promising.
Its wireless, signal depends on distance, buildings, planes, birds...how fat your hands are.. Im close to rockford, IL and I didnt notice anything but no service for about 2 hrs last night. Speed is still same as before 8mbs down 1.8mbs up.

Guys, unless your area just received 4G, your not going to see any benefit to T-Mobile rolling out HSPA+ 42Mbps. The HTC Sensation is only capable of 14.4Mbps download speed max.
Although, T-Mobile did mistakenly say the Sensation would do 42Mbps...

Can we start one? Just info people are hearing about LTE coming to their area.
I'll start by adding that I am in a HSPA+ area Danbury, Connecticut. I get anywhere from 3-6 mbps download speed. The mayor on his twitter account said AT&T is testing in the area, and that it will be here sooner rather than later. When I went to FCC Spectrum Dashboard, I found that AT&T has two 700Mhz towers registered for Bridgeport, Danbury, and Stamford.

I'd love to see if AT&T has a planned roadmap or something. All I know is full rollout by 2013. Verizon got LTE into my area (Fresno, CA) in the middle of June. That's about 3-4 months after the Thunderbolt came out. If AT&T followed that, it would be coming soon, but I've heard nothing.
I get 3 to 5 with 3g in Melissa, TX. 16mbps with HSPA+. When I go into the city it's 26 to 56mbps.
We are not just north of Dallas. We are Melissa, TX.

I have never gotten more than 16-18 in Los Angeles or Phoenix.
Living in Minnesota, a Non LTE area for AT&T I hadn't experienced it on my Skyrocket . However I had to travel to KC for the weekend and put the SR through a string of tests. All I can say is HOLY HELL, LTE is amazing. Here is a screen capture of many of the tests.
I have isolated one of the tests, if accurate is unbelievable. I tested in Northern KC to Downtown to out in the suburbs like Independence.
Any info on lte in central Arkansas? More specifically Conway? I've heard rumors..

I live in Corning, about 5 hours west of NYC. Get ATT '4G' HSPA... not HSPA+.
Get about 5MB down and 1.2MB up on a good day.. normally it's like 2.5 down and 1 up though. Can't wait until I get to go to NYC and test out the LTE there.
The fact that ATT has just started rolling out LTE means that when you DO get a signal, it will be extremely nice as not a lot of people are utilizing it yet. Also, you'll get LTE in areas that don't officially have it yet (as they're in the middle of rolling out the network) which is always a nice surprise.
I was in Queens few weeks ago and got to try LTE. I got between 23-30Mbps with 3 bars. Can't wait for Connecticut to get LTE.
I was at my moms work, just waiting for her to get her check, and randomly did a speedtest.
64 down, 23 up.
I'll post a SS later, since I'm at school using the computers, and don't have my cable on me.
I'm in Houston and average around 18 Mbps down/10Mbps up. Highest I've seen here was 35 Mbps at the airport. LTE coverage is pretty good all over the metropolitan area, and HSPA+ speeds are usually around 8 Mbps where LTE isn't available.

depending on your time and location; I've beaten my co-workers' iphone 4 and two iphone4s on speedtest.net's app. but you have to factor the load of the network stop putting blame.
two iphone4's on AT&T , one iphone4 on VZW. only the vzw iphone4 was matching closest to speeds like mine.
4g or 4g lte? Big Big difference if its one or the other. I average 3-5 megs down on 4g here in Conway. I've peaked at over 10 megs down a few times though. We haven't gotten lte upgrades on our towers yet but when we do I expect I'll see 20+ megs down at least!
In Philly,
depending on the day, the time, the location, whether I wear my socks, etc...I can get between 1 and 9 mbps down, 1-3 up.
In South Jersey at my folks (who live in the woods), I can get 4-5 down. 3 miles away out on the marsh, I get over 10.
LTE-long term evolution. Suuucks....actually its ATT.

Edit:
And Verizon's LTE is about 12 average on a good day. Peak of 18, low of 5.
how can anyone complain about 4.5 mbps down on their phone ???
goodluck with verizon, if you dont get an LTE signal your download speed is going to be less than 1mbps.

so was I . I would get 1.8mbps at my house (on 3g) on sprint but anywhere else i was that was not 4G i would get 15kpbs to about 600kpbs. It was painful.
On the 4g network (hspa+) i usually get anywhere from 3 to 9 mb/s, but when i hit the 4g lte area in NYC i see speeds anywhere from 20 mb/s on the outskirts of the city to 50+ mb/s in the center of the city, also depends on how much load is on the network. If your on a custom gingerbread rom try using the V6 supercharger 3g booster script with script manager and try playing around with the options, i usually choose the known maxed out values for the best possible speeds

That's sad.
Important thing with Att is reliability. Verizon lte was out several times in a short period of time. And you get they're crap version of 3g as a backup if that. I'm assuming all the cdma iPhone users are clogging it.
AT&T gets hspa+ as a backup if anything happens to lte, although there aren't any reports of outages with it as of yet. Enhanced 3g is more than enough for me, i use my phone to browse the internet, not tether or stream.
