Can anyone recommend an app for budgeting and finance. The market has several but would like to see opinions before I spend a bunch of time setting up something I don't like. I've used mint before but I'm looking for something that I don't need to run to the PC to work on.

G2x = first droid. Just started using launcher pro. Any recommendations on where to find good icons? I know I can use downloaded images, but I don't necessarily like the background of the images - example, I want to use a picture of an old rotary phone for the phone icon, or a pic of an old roladex for contacts, but don't like the white background of the downloaded image. Any suggestions?

If you don't mind spending a few bucks, download "Custom Launcher Icons" from the market. It is well worth the money. There are thousands of themed icons and docks available. I am very pleased with this app, I never get bored with my icons now. I'll attach some screenshots so you get the idea.
G2x is not a droid. Pet peeve of mine. Rant off

I was thinking the same thing. Droid is something that other company calls its Android phones.
Posted from my G2X using the XDA Premium App.
Again, newbie mistake - after the time spent on here and just re-reading my op I yelled at myself.

Hate it when people come into my store asking for a droid phone. A droid is from motorola, not every android phone out there!!!

When we copy/unzip to the SD card, are we dragging the folder itself? Or are we double clicking the folders and unloading all of the icons into the SD card? If I i drop the folder with the icons in them i
When we copy/unzip the icons into the SD card, are we copying the folder with the icons or double clicking the folder and dragging all the icons? Or it doesnt make a difference?

This awesome game that was previously only available for iOS has finally come to Android. I've downloaded it and installed it on my X10 and it runs great. You can get it now on www.getjar.com. It is also coming to the marketplace in the near future. Enjoy!

What's the Best Home Launcher For Sidekick 4g HELP .!
Sent from my SGH-T839 using xda premium
It ain't the stock TouchWiz launcher. That thing has a memory leak.
I don't know if it's Samsung or the Froyo VM. Either way, you can't go wrong. Ditch the stock launcher asap.
Sent from my SGH-T839 using XDA App
Thanks man but dude the stock launcher really does suckkk
Sent from my SGH-T839 using xda premium
i'd say you can't go wrong with Launcher Pro, Go Launcher Ex, Zeam, or ADW Ex.... and probably there are others. not sure there is really a best, it sorta comes down to personal preference.
Launcher pro is goood ause its quick but hard to customize and stuff go launcher goood but too much like adw and zeam its ok but laggs at time but I am on gingerclone v2 right now oh by the way do u know any goood widgets
Sent from my SGH-T839 using xda premium
I haven't used many widgets on the SK at all, but have you tried Fancy Widgets or Beautiful Widgets from the market?
Noo I love weather and toggle our something like that it better to me cause I can havee sense clock on my phonee
Sent from my SGH-T839 using xda premium
Well, there's a potential hangup right there. Most widgets will run as a service in the background and eat your RAM/CPU. I've seen all kinds of widgets that boast about how compact they are based solely on the size of the app, but the download size really isn't what you are concerned with; it's the amount of your limited memory that is going to be consumed physicaly running the widget on your device.
Android is very reluctant to shut down services. For instance, I've been trying out a new battery and used a nice battery widget to monitor performance. That's all fine and good, but it ate 20 megs

Thatss crazy I didn't know that but my ram acts kinda funnny it willl be alll goood then it will go down dramaticallly its not funnny and then goes up so what clock widget the bes u may say ?

Ok, honestly you are seriously abusing this thread you ask a ignorant quistion like this witch is completely an opinion based answer research and try stuff out. What's best for you is probably compltely opposite of what's best for me. PLEASE SEARCH, RESEARCH AND FIGURE IT OUT!!!!!

I would recommend Go Launcher, with Sira Theme.

I just found this launcher and wanted to share it. It's awesome. Had features I haven't seen on other launchers. You can pull the SMS and phone icons up and view your latest calls and texts straight on your home screen in a pull up drawer. Check it out

If you could change the dock icons it would be awesome
