Hi
Yesterday I flashed the newest CM 12.1 (Android 5.1.1) and GApps on my Oneplus One, after an Update failed.
Everything workes fine, except "com.android.phone" keeps crashing every few seconds and I lose my mobile connection. When in flightmode, this doesn't happen.
Any ideas how to fix this?
greetings
Why update is failed? Maybe problem in this. I sit on Hazy and CyanogenMod and com.android.phone is not crashing.
I know that crashing messages.
I am also having this issue every once in a while. But I've been on COS12 for weeks now.
Well first I was on the default CyanogenOS, shipped by Oneplus. I became the message for a new update and created a backup with TWRP. After updating, I tried restoring the data from my backup and somehow that broke my phone, so I installed the newest nightly. I tried deactivating mobile internet but the error still appears all the time. The phone gets a new mobile connection and shortly after com.android.phone crashes.

Try to freeze com.android.phone(delete if problem is not gone) and install other or same but new version. I don't know is it solve issue, but you can wipe all via fastboot(fastboot flash boot, etc)

Hi everyone,
I'm aware this issue has been discussed in other threads but the problem is still unresolved and i didn't find anyone with this issue on a Nexus 5.
I'm running on CM11 20140606-NIGHTLY
So this error prompts twice everytime i boot my phone and when i try to launch Google Maps. I tried deleting all the Maps data in Settings/Application, tried to uninstall/reinstall, i tried installing Maps 8.2 and 8.0 as the error occured with 8.1, still get the error pop up.
I don't encounter this issue on the stock ROM. Should i try flashing a new SNAPSHOT version of cyanogen or do you have any idea how i can fix this issue ?

This is the second time this has happened to me, and this last time I was super vigilant about making periodic backups. But even restoring a nandroid of when maps worked doesn't solve the problem. I hate google over this.
Try to find the gapps one by one (not the whole package). Download the Maps one and flash it
Hello, i own a moto g, unlocked, with cyanogen mod 11 installed, after few days of using cm11 the ui force closes some times, untill it was a loop, i was not able to use the phone and i needed to restard it, sometime wont work at the first restart, finding this bug annoying, i tried paranoid android lastest beta, working fine few days, but then i was getting ui lforce closes and fc loops, it was annoying, even reinstalling, doing a full install, deleting the system before flashing, it was always a clean install always, I went back to cm11 and im getting it again, i dont know what it causes, i want to know if anyone has this issue or just me, and if so, how can I solve it, sorry for my bad english xD

Hello!
My phone is rooted and has no custom roms or kernels.
I went from kitkat to lollipop to the lastest OTA update.
At first, everyone was having issues with the Google Play services wakelock, so I installed the popular suggestion of Calkulin's Google Play app. I installed it and everything was fine.
Ever since I flashed the lastest OTA via TWRP, I have this constant error pop up and it comes back every 2 seconds.
"Unfortunately, the processcom.google.process.gapps has stopped."
How do I solve this issue? Thanks!

I have the exact same issue...and I also used Calkulin's zip....so the only problem I was having before manually applying 17L was the 1 popup when I rebooted saying messaging app stopped. I did a nandroid backup 10 minutes before I applied 17L which is what I had to revert back to since those processcom.google.process.gapps has stopped messages make the phone unusable. I guess I will just stay on cm-12.0-YNG1TASOTL until there is a fix....don't want to lose all my data with a factory reset. From what I have heard the update is not worth all that.

I am doing a clean flash....I did a titanium backup of my apps
Went into TWRP 2.8.6
Did Factory Reset
Installed Zip
Wipe devik/cache.....twrp will ask you to root
go through set up...I choose to set up phone as new device so Google would not try to put all my apps back
Update the SuperSU Binary if needed
DL Titanium Backup from the play store...and restore your apps...only 60% done with restore process but I hope it works....so far no pop-ups
Hi guys!
I recently updated from the 11/24 build of Sultan's CM13 ROM to the 12/6 build and I seem to have broken something as my Messenger app keeps crashing every time I try to open a conversation. I get the error "Unfortunately, Messenger has stopped" and then the app crashes. I also don't seem to be able to receive any texts. I performed the update through the CM OTA Updater.
Does anyone know what I could do to fix this? Thanks!
Hi,
Last week I had the same issue on CM13.
A clean flash should resolve this.
If you don't want to perform a clean flash, you can just wipe data of com.android.providers.telephony and reboot. It worked perfectly for me.
I have two problems with my lg g3 att rooted phone.
1st Problem - I have tried to get rid of the android.process.acore error but have had no luck THIS time. (Last time part of the fix was completely uninstalling the facebook app from my phone). This time (and last time) I cleared caches, stopped them, deleted my contacts and the contacts storage, unclicked the app sync button.... I can't really remember what else I did to restore it to normal.
2nd problem - So I clicked on update software from ATT and a TWRP v.2.8.6.0 screen comes up. I don't know what to do with it. Do I click install, restore, reboot, backup? Can I just undo this and try and find some other way to remove the android.process.acore error message without losing all my data with a factory reset? If this twrp is complicated I would prefer to just undo what I just did. I really need some help as soon as possible. Thank you in advance.
Same Error Message

I am having the same problem and not sure what to do about it. I restart my phone, and it seems to be ok for a while, but then it starts popping up again. I have an AT&T LG G3 (LG - D850), not rooted phone. I have tried to reset all app preferences, but that didn't seem to do anything really. Could really use some help! Thanks!
