Digging Some Information - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys i need some information. i`m on On official cm12s with locked bootloader and stock recovery. since i upgrade to cm12s m getting poor battery performance due to google play services wakelock issue. i`m planning to move to O2 OS so i want to ask does O2 system hav same issue with play services? does it hav battery issue too? any screenshots with screen on time would be better. thanks

It also suffers from this issue. But why don't you simply install http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...od-google-play-services-update-wake-t3078082?

That requires a custom recovery and therefore an unlocked bootloader.

Moving to O2 OS needs that as well

Not anymore. Apparently you can get Oxygen via the OTA system now. I need to confirm this but it's what I've been told.

[Q] No 4.4.3 Update UK 8GB Eu model

Hi, has everyone received their 4.4.3 update as I'm still waiting to receive mine also some are getting the 4.4.4 now so it seems a bit strange! Also does anyone know if I can update manually?
Thanks

you don't want 4.4.3 and they stopped it anyway, 4.4.4 has not been rolled out in the uk yet as far as i can tell from these forums.

Why is it taking so long for it to reach the UK, dont they just upload it on a server and thats it ?

It's far more complicated than that. For the moment the UK Moto Gs are still on 4.4.2 (which is actually a good thing).
Even if it comes out these days, I won't be updating, until the don't release a bugfix to patch all the issues with 4.4.4

Can tell you only few that I find significant. But the full list is quite extensive.
OTG doesn't work at all.
The proximity sensor gets stuck/ doesn't react while incall.
Loss of Wi-Fi and 3G signal for no reason.
Your device emmc gets re-petitioned and may get bricked.
Some poorly written, but useful apps doesn't run
Miracast doesn't work from time to time.
The vast majority of issues are due to upgrading via OTA update. I've Fastboot flashed the 4.4.3 US firmware image and had none of these problems.

In which sense bud? I mean, when i flashed ota for kk over jb i haven't had any problem. Do you mean in this sense?
I'm only suggesting if people are having issues; download the full firmware, wipe phone and flash via fastboot.

umm ok.. problem that atm the only 443 complete firmware is the US i think. We need to wait...
True. But that image does work perfectly fine on a UK / EU XT1032.

OPO week signal, fluctuating signal...Chinese Version

Hello, I know there is another thread about this but couldn't find what I need. I just got my OPO from China yesterday and flashed CM11s. It works good but the signal is week and keeps going up and down. Like good signal and then almost nothing a second later. What can I do?
Would flashing another ROM maybe fix this? (Like regular cm11).

OK. Great. Thanks. Would you mind explaining this to me...I'm a newbie. So when I flashed cm11s...this doesn't effect my modem, I have to do this seperatly?
Which version of 11S do you have? I mean...25R, 30 or latest 33R.
33R has well enough modem but...it maybe doesn't work for your country.
First... You should to unlock bootloader, then install custom recovery. After that you will be able to install alternative modem from custom recovery.
You can read all information about that in the nearby topics.

Anything you do flash on XDA is risky though. Its a chance you take just loading the web page.
But yeah, be very careful if you do unlock it. It's not hard but requires a lot of reading and paying attention

Your on a locked bootloader. You can't install custom roms. Your limited to safestrap for a recovery and for roms there are only a few bootloader locked roms. Please a search would of yielded positive results. This has been answered many times previously

Once the i535 is on the 4.4.2 bootloader (I535VRUDNE1) you can not unlock it. It's been that way for at least a year, maybe someone will find a way in the future but I doubt anyone is putting effort into the attempt.
There are two ROMs other than stock that you can use, as ShapesBlue hinted. They are both based on stock, search for SuperLiteROM and PaulPizz ROM.

It's truly gets tiring answering the same questions over and over again but I'll say it yet again, your limited to what you can install on a bootloader locked device. The roms available are KK roms. They ARE NOT lollipop roms and none are available.
If you want to run lollipop buy a GSM unlocked device that's not locked down like this one is or buy a device with an unlocked bootloader

I don't know the reason @2 is happening, therefore I don't have a definite answer. I would suggest wiping cache and dalvik to see if that makes a difference.

Only suggestion is to try different apps for the same purposes.
Freeze/disable the apps you are currently using that get lagged and then try the new apps.

Realme 5 Pro - VOLTE ?

hello, I have noticed in youtube videos that the indian model uses volte. With my Eu model (firmware A09) I don't find this setting. Although I use an original O2 card and in my other mobile phone it goes without problems.
Is there a keyboard code to activate?
Some informations about Wifi-Calling?
Thx
I've easily solved volte issues with a small hack but it needs unlocked bootloader and twrp.
No Root, possible for Eu/ India Rom user, unfortunally.
Support said it works but not for me.
Checked with A11 and new A13 Firmware.
dear people, tell me, who owns the eu model and who has the Volte? and with which provider?
thx

New Mi 10 Ultra user needing help

Hello XDA forums,
I've recently required a global version of the mi 10 ultra after a phone swap. I'm not flash/bootloading/ROM toting gunslinger and have no clue about this software installed on the phone called TWRP.
From my research I've found it's a bootloader that allows the device to be used in other countries and gives access to Google play store.
But I just wondered whether going back to stock is an option, and if so, would that present any issues i.e. lose assess to play store.
If there is a simplified guide or any guide in general I'd be more than happy to look at it
Kind regards

Thank you for clarifying that for me having spoke to someone via the Xiaomi forums, they stated that it is used on the mi 10 ultra to by pass the Chinese stock ROM and allow Google play store.
The thing I'm lost about is what ROM am I currently using and how do I update it? Would you be able to direct me to some information to troubleshoot this?

Basically Yes, you will lose access to the playstore as China does not allow it on their phones. The 10 ultra's sold to people outside of China had a cutdown version of Google services put on but it did not have location history or find phone and other parts. If you do go back to stock Chinese, you can find playstore app in their version of appstore and if you install it, you can get full Google services again.
If you have the Xiaomi EU ROM installed and you live outside of China, then that version is your best bet. It comes in 2 versions, weekly or stable and both are still updated, so make your choice, stock ROM is available here.. http:/mifirm.net and do a search for cas or mi 10 ultra and install the latest fastboot or recovery ROM if you have twrp recovery installed ( you probably will if you have the EU ROM) or pop over the Xiaomi EU forum for the latest info here.. https://xiaomi.eu/community/forums/xiaomi-mi-10-pro-10lite-ultra-10t-pro-lite-10s.204/ and here for the weekly ROM.. https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/miui-12-0-12-1-12-2-12-5-stable-release.56191/ and the weekly ROM here.. https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/21-6-16-17.61822/ .
All the info on twrp and the ROMs are on the Xiaomi EU forum but there is lots of help and advice here once you make your choice of where you want to go. The 10 Ultra is a dam good phone with the latest EU ROM installed.
