what happens if you flash galaxy tab 2 10.1 rom on galaxy tav 2 7.0? will it boot and if so will the tab 2 7.0 think it has 1280x800 screen?

I thought the hardware was the same. I thought I read that someone flashed a tab 2 7.0 ROM on a tab 2 10.1.

I thought the p31xx has more roms, and people having the p51xx will try to flash the ROMs made for p31xx,

Since I dont see any roms for this tablet I was wondering if GTab 10.1 roms will work on this?

You probably don't want to do that. Samsung galaxy tab 7 plus has an exynos processor and the samsung galaxy tab 10.1 has nvidia tegra 2. If you try to put a samsung gtab 10.1 rom, you will probebly soft brick your tablet.

i have installed the CyanogenMod 10.1 on my Samsung Galaxy SIII and my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.
Is it possible that i also can have the "tv-out-effect" on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1? I mean the effect that comes when i lock my screen, like the "oldschool-tv's"!

Somebody at development board was trying to port it to the 10.1. No word yet Do you really like the CRT-OFF effect?
I had it on a Galaxy 5 couple of years ago and i hate it Good for showing up though.

I had it on a rom on my phone. I wonder if there's a way for me to extract it from the file, I'd have to download the file to my PC and search for it but I had that same effect your speaking of

From my point of View its not possible because changing Firmware is formed problem with kernel ,hardware and other things. So don't change the firmware .
You can try custom rom for your device. Like Cyanogen Mod and others.

It may work or not, depends on the phone. Is there a special reason why you want to flash another firmware region to your phone?
