Looking to hire App consultant and contract attorney - where to post - General Questions and Answers

I'm hoping a member of the community can point me in the right direction.
A company I'm working with is considering signing a contract with an app developer for a mobile app (android+ios) and a small website. I'm not familiar with the current pricing on this type of work and I'm also not familiar with the standard terms and conditions found in most master service agreements.
A few questions - Is there a forum I should post under to find a developer who is familiar with current app pricing? I want to know if we are getting a fair price.
Two, can anyone recommend an attorney for contract review, specifically an attorney who specializes/has experience with software/app development agreements.
These are both paid jobs.
Thank you.

Flar: the rules are very clear, but still want to check: work for hire permitted?

I have been a member for a few years now and I understand the site culture very well. But there are things I just cannot do by myself because I am not so tech savvy, more of a specialized end user.
I want to find someone at XDA who will create a "Sashimi" package for me, so that I can flash ROMs and finally not have to deal with then re-setting up all my apps and settings and themes and registry changes.
On XDA, is it permitted to seek a specific skill for a specific task, and pay someone to do it?
(if not, no problem. But I am just asking)

In principle we have no objections against it as long as you're clear in what you seek and what you expect to pay for it. The best suited place for such a request imho would be the marketplace following the rules there which are specifically made for selling stuff (or services).
Next time feel free to PM questions like this, although there is no objection against asking it in public, I'll just be able to answer quicker.
Best regards,
Flar

Building a new type of review site... Are you in?

I know, I know. It's been done. But I'm a website developer and designer... that's the air I breathe lol
The question here is simple: Would you like to be an author and review devices?
I can't go into the specific details but if you are interested you can PM me or reply to this thread as "Notify Me" and I will promptly PM you as soon as I can with more information. Everyone who joins before the site starts up has to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement stating you will not share the information with anyone but those who are involved. - Don't worry the NDA is digital.
XDA receives free advertising credits on the site for life, because this is the site that grew my passion over the years. Not much else will be posted in this thread. Sorry if it is a waste of space.
The website will not share traffic with XDA, but it will definitely promote XDA. If I have the authorization later on to promote it here, great! If not, that's great too. Not looking for free publicity I can handle the marketing.
All I want is to know who would be interested in learning more. Might be in the wrong section too haha I figured it was more of a question

[Completed] Can I start a campaign for payment to a dev upon successful root of the ZTE Elite9518

I would be willing to put $10 towards paying the developer who can come up with a root for the warp elite 9518.
I know its pocket change but I'm hoping I can start a list of people who are willing to pledge some money, 5$-10$, I would keep this forum post with the user names of the people willing to donate, and the total amount available for payment upon a successful root. Offline I will keep that same list but include their first name and amount they would be able to pitch in. All money will stay in the donators possession, until an agreement is made regarding dev payment.
Hopefully a capable dev sees this as something they could do if they were compensated for their time.

Hi rnaodm
Thank you for using XDA Assist
It's always a good initiative to support the developers that work hard. :good:
As we do not have an specific forum dedicated for your device yet, the best place for you to post your offer would be at the below forum. Please be welcome to post over in there.

Nice regards and good luck.
EDIT: Sorry, your title was a question and I've missed it. The answer is: Yes, you can.

Smart Phone development inquiry

I am writing to inquire if anyone would give me quote on how much they would charge to make me three or five smart phones as a possible prototype for my own line of smart phones. I don't own a company. I am just an individual with an idea and I own my own trademark that I would sell the phones under (I would name the phone my trademark name). Naturally, I would want to be able to make a profit from the sale of the phones. If anyone would be interested in helping me get started with three to five smart phones at a reasonable price, please let me know. Thank you!

This isn`t a place where we actually discuss things , there are plenty of forums outside XDA , here we mainly keep on software development and moreover, according to forum rules

App Development for my Business

Hi There, I have recently started my own ecommerce business and am looking for a way to expand my brand through the use of an app. I am London based so that may play a factor into which kind is ideal for me. Interaction would be appreciated.
Find an e-commerce marketing company and advertise your company on relevant websites.
Thanks for that, I will consider your ideas.
