I'm really struggling to find a case that I like for my S6. They're either too bulky, or too slippery, or accumulate to many fingerprints. I've tried a few clear cases to help retain how cool the phone looks, but the fingerprints are killing me. Can you guys share your recommendations?

Try the Diztronic case. It has a matt texture, so its not slippery, and its slim, yet provides protection to the screen (raised lip) and camera.

Could you point out what you didn't like about each one?
I'm using a clear case right now (Spigen Ultra Hybrid), and you're right about fingerprints. I also have an issue with the crud that accumulates between the phone and the case, which is then totally visible. It's also a tad on the slick side.
I'm considering the Spigen that is just a ring around the edge with no actual back.
Sorry, I'm not really any help, but I feel your pain. I have the Verus Iron Bumper (no front or back protection) and while I love it, the glass is a smudgy mess. I'm not really concerned as I use it, but I carry a microfiber cloth just in case anyone wants to look at the phone. And then 3 seconds later it's a smudgy mess again. The struggle of owning a beautiful phone.
I'm gonna give this one a try now, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VSOIBAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I had a body glove case on my LG G2 and really liked it, so we shall see.
Is that case good enough for $15?
I have the incipo feather however that one is very slippery and i just ordered the original samsung case which is silver and a clear case.

I had a silicone TPU on my old Samsung Blackjack, and only used it for a week. They tend to get every bit of dust and pocket lint sticking to them.
Seems like you are just being too picky. It's a case.
I've tried the spigen liquid crystal case, but i took it bak because the sides flexed too m uch and the back got too slippery, plus it was just ugly, then i tried the verus crystal mixx white case, I loved that one but it didnt have a lip to protect te camera bezel.
Now i've settled on the Verus crystal light case. It's like the spigen liquid crystal but has two cutouts on the back for the camera and flash instead of one big one. Plus the buttons are more clicky. i found one on ebay for $6 and i love it. fingerprints accumulate on the back but it seems to have more grip than the spigen version so i'm keeping it.
Just got the original silver clear case from samsung and it is really minimal even more minimal then the incipio feather case. I do like the feel of the case since it gives you a lot of grip and there is no additional bulk on the sides of the phone so when you are holding it, you are holding the phone.

And yes this case is awesome-
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innocase-Surface-Google-Nexus/dp/B0036DDD98
Its quite cool. It's 2mm thick....so 4mm extra added to the phone all around and has a felt liner to protect the phone from the case scratching it. It also has a rubbery feel to it, but underneath that layer it's hard.
+1 for the Innocase Surface.
It's the first and only case I bought for my N1. It's quite sturdy, and I feel it adds just the right amount of thickness. The coating on the case adds some nice traction too for gripping. The naked N1 is a bit too thin and slick for me to feel safe holding by the edges when on a call.
Only taken one significant fall so far, about 3 feet onto concrete. The case did it's job, the two pieces coming apart but absorbing the impact. Only ended up with a tiny ding on the power button. All in all I'd highly recommend it.

I had the otterbox commuter case, a rubber case, and it was fantastic. You can get them very cheap on amazon now.
I scrubbed off the soft-touch surface and put on a 3d-carbon vinyl over the battery and antenna covers. Looks cool.

---------- Post added at 08:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:29 PM ----------
Ah! And do you know a white one? Is for my wife.
A generic TPU case from ebay is the way I say haha
The Innocases are pretty great; thin, and they add much-needed "grippy" texture to the phone. The actual N1 surface is pretty slick if you have any sweat on your hands (in my experience).
I didn't want the "overkill" of an Otterbox, so I have the Innocase that lives on my phone, then the appropriately-sized belt clip from Seidio. It covers the face for full protection when I need it, which isn't often. I only use it when I'm doing something high-energy, and at that point, being able to securely attach it to my belt rather than keeping the phone in my pocket is a bonus.
Hey all,
Has anyone tried roughing the back of their phone a little bit? I'm trying to think of something to give it a bit more texture and grip. I do have a case for my phone but I really like the feeling and look of the phone naked.
Any thoughts?

I bet that would work if you really don't want a case
Cruzer Lite's cases aren't too bad either. They don't add much to the thickness of the device and they are reasonably good to look at. However, if I could use my phone without a case and be confident of not scratching/dropping it, I'd go that route.
Another vote for Rock Quicksand...love mine. :good: The phone actually feels too small when I take it off now. And way too slick.
Using the Rearth Ringke Slim case and has a really nice feel to it, and it's super thin.

That case is almost identical to the Rock Quicksand, but the Rock gives you a much better grip than the Rearth.

I just got the official Samsung Cool Vent case, and I love it. It's a rubber-y plastic that gives the phone great grip, and you can stick a coin (or two credit cards) in the back for an impromptu kickstand. It covers the back and front/bottom, rather than the sides, so it doesn't cover the volume/power buttons and doesn't make the phone any wider. The only con is that the bump on the back prevents the phone from laying totally flat on a table, which bothers some people, i think it's fine. The bump also gives you something to grip with your fingers.

Picked it up from MobileFun.com, seems there aren't many places yet selling it in the US.
Rock Quicksand case is absolutely amazing!
For $10 I wasn't expecting much; but immediately when I opened up the packaging I was impressed. The case feels rock solid, and barely adds any weight to the phone.
However, if you are looking for full protection this case is definitely not for you.
I don't want to make myself sound old (I am only 22), but I'm at the stage in my life that I can be fairly confident that I will not drop the phone and will not be entering any situations (ie., jumping off my bike into the woods) that I will not be able prepare for and take extra precautions with the phone.

+1. Just enough grip yet it slides easily into and out of my pocket.
I bought a sheet of this eGrips stuff and cut it custom for every device that i don't want to use a full case on. One side is adhesive and the other side is the grippy side that you hold. egrips

that was my idea too! if one would prefer to run a naked phone you could get one of those clear body skins....the ones that are like the screen protector material but they cover the back cover and sides too, and then see if skateboard grip tape will stick to that stuff, giving you extremely minimal protection with maximum grip and would be thinner than any case like the Rock or other slim cases and less noticeable too, that way if you dont like it you simply peel the skin off since the grip tape is stuck to it, not your phone
Soda blasting or glass beading it would give it a uniform rough finish with soda being smoother and glass being rougher.
So my flat black tpu case by Diztronic came today and let me tell you it is hands down better than anything out there and I could not be more pleased. I am comparing this to the Rearth slim case I was using and before that I also had the Ebay S line case for a couple days and while that case is also tpu, it is truly ghetto compared to this Diztronic. The fit is perfect and while buttons are covered there is still little effort needed to push them unlike many tpu cases. The feel of the case on the phone is also on the premium side and the matte black back does not attract fingerprints either. The other great feature about this case is the slightly raised lip going around the screen which is just right for anyone wanting to play music/put their phone face down. All of this is had with virtually no added bulk either. I highly recommend this case and know you will be happy with it.

It definitely looks better than the "S" TPU case, but does it offer more protection in your opinion.
It seems from your pics the lips on the front are higher than the ones on the "S"?
How good is the fit? would you say it's tight? Does the case come off easily?
Looks good, might still purchase this, although it looks exactly the same as the I-Blason case I have on my N4 already.
Hows the call quality? People complained about the official N4 bumper ruining the microphone quality so I'm wondering if it happens with this too.
I have one of these on order myself.
Would you say the Diztronic is significantly better than the Ringke Rearth Slim case? I've got the Ringke case and it doesn't fit as tight as it could around the volume rocker, too much play for my liking. Also my girlfriend hates how the four corners stick up a little from the screen (to protect the screen if its face down) she says they poke her in the ear on phone calls... Wish I had bought two of the Diztronic cases now

I don't have a case at all and I have to position the phone in a certain position on my face for anyone to hear me as it is. If a case or bumper further negates from the call quality I am going to have to pass. Even though I already ordered this and it should be here soon.
1. The call quality is not affected I already had two calls with the case on and it sounds great.
2. The lip is raised a bit more than the S case but not overly done, it will not bother you at all
3. This case feels very good on the phone, it is easy to get off it your actually trying to take it off other that that there is no annoying flex from the tpu or anything like the cheap ones (S case)
4. This is much better that the rearth slim because having this on gives me the feeling of better protecting just by how it feels in the hand and protects the entire bezel which a slim case does not do.
I may order the Diztronic shell case when that come out next week too
I think the stock bumper is stupid anyways
Haven't tried any other case for the nexus 4.but this diztronic case is easily the highest quality tpu I've ever used... Feels great. Love it.

it's definitely not the same as the i-blason case. I have two i-blason and the diztronic. the diztronic is sooo much better. i used to use their case on my gnex. very good quality.
Got my case yesterday. It fits nicely, has a good feel and looks pretty good too. Doesn't really add much bulk. The seams on 2 corners on the other hand seem a bit shoddy and looks like it might peel away over time. Curious to know if anyone else's case is like that too. Will contact Diztronic and see what they say.

I would get the black one, I also thought about the smoke color since it allows you to see the nexus logo on the back which is pretty attractive. But the Distronic logo kinda overlayed the LG logo and that's a no-no for me. But since Distronic has a no-hassle free return policy, you can always return it if you're not satisfied with your purchase.
Hey guys,
I'm considering buying a TPU case for my N4. Which ones do you recommend and why? I'm also especially interested in how much width they add. The OEM bumper case makes the phone too big for my hands.

I said that too when I first got my bumper and then tried it a second time and resold it again. Won a white OEM one and hasn't come off yet.
I suggest the Ringke Fusion, but you may not like fingerprints on the back of that. Also cruzerlite has some nice cases as well. Also Diztronic tpu cases are nice if you are looking for a plain jane tpu.
The Diztronic case is great. It barely adds any thickness to the phone. While not TPU, I'm also digging the Body Glove case. Laterally, it doesn't add much thickness, but it's a little beefier on the back which might be a good thing with the glass and all. Both cases have raised edges which allows you to put the phone face-down if that's ever a concern.
I have the Diztronic TPU on mine and my girls. She has dropped it numerous times and not a scratch on it.
Mercury 6$ case, it's nice as I have one for a note 2. The note 2 is more snug versus this one however, this one has lips on the sides to protect the screen.

You must've had bad luck with it then.. the cutouts on mine are perfect. What I do dislike though are the buttons, which are a bit hard to press and feel mushy.
I still haven't seen a case that I like 100%. Every single one makes it either look a lot cheaper, adds too much bulk or doesn't offer enough protection. But.. well, nothing you can really do, I guess
I have the official bumper, rinke fusion, poetic borderline. I can say using Ringke fusion brings the feeling of a solid phone. Using the official bumper adds a width for the phone. In the poetic borderline i didn't feel any bulk at all. That's my experience about those cases. I consider the back design in choosing a case cause i wanna let others can see the beauty of N4.

Mine arrived this afternoon and I love it. Can't wait for my skin for the back to arrive so it can feel safe and look sexy.
Official Bumper, Diztronic, a two part mesh case, etc and my FAVORITE is the Cruzerlite Bugdroid case in Smoke. You can see Nexus through the back of the case, not much width added at all and with the Bugdroid pattern carved into the back it offers much needed slip out of the hand protection. Cut outs are perfect also.
I've only tried the diztronic and I highly recommend it. Doesn't look like anything special or nice but in terms of protection it works. I've dropped my phone many times with it on and no scratches or dents or anything. Also the cutouts on mine are perfect.. There is a whole thread on it here I believe. I do wish the beautiful back wasn't covered though.. ringke fusion might be better in that sense.
I've gone through a few cases and settled on this one. My fave case so far, offers great protection and fits over the iloome tempered glass screen protector, unlike the Ringke Fusion.

Quite happy with my Ballistic case for my Nexus 5. It does add some bulk, but if you're used to that with the N4 Ballistic case I can't see how this would be bothersome.
No issues with taking it out of my pocket and having the rubber bumpers getting stuck
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I use a Ballistic Aspira series case. Good build quality, good protection, not overly bulky, and adds a little more natural curve to the back of the phone that makes it more comfortable to hold.
I had the Ballistic SG Maxx case on a Nexus 5 that I was testing and found the outer hard shell to be far to slick for me to get a reasonable grip on the device. I also found the included screen protector didn't sit properly on the screen, leaving a gap between the protector and the screen, except at the edges. My final issue was that the belt clip hardly opened at all, and wouldn't close all the way around a typical leather belt.
That said, I thought the case itself offered great protection for the phone and seemed like it could really take a beating.
