Bootloader is compatible with open devices roms and also enables real recovery (Volume Down + Power)
to flash recovery partition on device you have to
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Not exactly. Now the kernel and recovery have different partitions so even if you flash a new kernel it wont affect your recovery.
You have to separately flash kernel and recovery from now on. Which really simplifies the flashing procedure and makes it even more safe.
This type of partition exists in almost all the phones you get from other brands, glad that Sony has adapted to it.

Is there a way how to revert back to old bootloader? I've forgot to flash stock before the new bootloader, device is not booting, now I'm gonna flash stock (downloading ). I hope the device will wake up...

hey @jerpelea Upload FTF file of new bootloader. my varriant is not compatable with sony flash tool. i want to use unofficial fashtool.
I installed the bootloader with the flash of sony "Emma", restart the phone only black screen and after a long wait I install the firmware FTF with Flashtool unofficial.
will anything change? Signal strength is bad, wrapped also absent
It's available on the D2203
Did anyone apply this thing?? Is it stable ??

I look everywhere and i couldn't find a ftf file for relock my xperia tipo dual, i'm using (11.0.a.6.5) version.
Please guys,helpe me....... i'll intend to use flashtool to relock..

Edit: I use a FTF file to relock my bootloader (xperia tipo dual) and is ok and 100% working ... Just flash it in flash mode with flashtools.

Yep, Tried it, but to works i need a tft file for xperia tipo dual to relock bootloader....
I root my device but i can't update firmware with bootloader unlocked....

Thank you for the link worked flawlessly on my Tipo. Was able to successfully relock bootloader & update to the latest version OTA.

I´m waiting for cm10 works on tipo dual to root my tipo again.
Now i can root,unlock bootloader and unroot and relock again, just drm rigths that wont work anymore. and i really don´t care about it.

clockwork works even with the .75 firmware.

I have not used PC companion
to my surprise. it was the super user. I did not lose root
lack developers look for users Xperia J

I've read in other Sony devices forums that when you unlock the bootloader, you may loose the DRM keys, and by consecuence, you will also loose some sony propietary Algorithms, like Xloud, CLearAudio+, etc.
For those who have already unlocked it, have you experienced any issue with Music info downloader/Xloud/ClearAudio+, or even the camera got worse?

I have test the camera and it's the same .
All apps are functionnal . with my xperia u who have Unlocked bootloader , some sony apps does'nt work but here all is working for me .

No Sony PC Companion anymore. Walkman can be obtained via Play Store, Bravia engine is not available on the M2 (and is mostly a marketing burb anyway), the rest is rumour of esoteric nature.

Working for me.
I have unlocked bootloader since i have cwm .
I don't think that unlocking bootloader can brake some things cos it's official from Sony and thay have flashing tool Emma.

False , with my xperia U with unlocked bootloader some sony apps,widgets and sony pc companion doesn't works .
So, i have a Sony Xperia M2 D2302 device running Lollipop 5.1.1 fw=18.6.A.0.182 w Unlocked Bootloader.. I'm unable to find a custom recovery for my device [idk i've gone blind maybe] so..... anybody knows anything please tell me..! I'll be very obliged........ :fingers-crossed:
Try this [UBL] TWRP 3.0.0 - Multilanguage + TA Backup Support
Make sure to update your Bootloader to support flashing to recovery partition, link to that is in prerequisites section of the above guide.

Update the bootloader from here. Don't use Emma, use the FTF method. It works on D2302.
