i am using galaxy alpha g850a at&t unlocked device in pakistan whenever i tried to update my software it checks it but display that no updates available check after 24 hours. my baseband version is G850AUCU1ANH8 but i read on sam site that another update has been released in jan 2015 baseband is G850AUCU1ANL1 which is ncessary b4 updating it to lolipopso why my phone cant get that update?? is it becoz i am in different country using different carier sim on a at&t device ?? will i ever be able to update it or not??
tried kies too but it also shows i have latest frimware but i dont

i dont clearly know what a boot loader is but its a unlock device but at&t logo shows up when i boot it, is this you talking about??

If bootloader is unlocked there are no support from OEM.
But you can Manually Update to Lollipop.

Bothers am facing the same issue in Pakistan, logo of At&T appear when set is switch ON, updating is a big issue i heard that lolipop 5.0 is not responding good on Alpha is it true???

hahahaha dude thats the SAME phone. "3" is just a mark for different market.
Froyo should come in december to us,as samsung brasil annouced it in their offical blog.

Yes that's true. I installed USA firmware on my asian i5503 and it works but there are inconsistencies like compass working backwards. So I downgraded. Also I5508 have different kind of touch screen (resistive) so installing I5508 firmware will disable touch screen in I5503.

I got the firmware for i5503 2.1 from samfirmware.com. Then flashed that firmware onto my phone

I also do like you. I have formatted my i5503 with froyo but hindi font had gone. only display boxes and next time i have formatted with 2.1 I5503DDJG4 firmware. Let me tell after officially froyo will release can we upgrade it or not? Nowadays i connect my device on my computer and check firmware update with kies but it displays message you can not updrade your firmware with this phone. what is this? never upgrade or if available we can do it?

I have upgraded to 2.2, and its getting mail notification on wifi , but I can not get beyond the phone screen as pattern unlock is not getting started because the touch screen is not working ..

The update rolling out now is for i9023 users. I'm not even aware of anyone using i9020T that actually got the OTA notification.

What do you mean get locked? There is no "T-Mobile" release. The release rolling out now is to the international i9023 users. T-mobile users will likely get the exact same build but there haven't build any OTA notifications for those users (but you can manually install it on a T-mobile version).

There is no such thing as a T-mobile version. The i9020 and i9020T run the same software. Whether you are on T-mobile or not makes no difference. Most international users have the i9020. i9023 is the same hardware except the screen.
I heard that the Note 10.1 2012 got finally the KitKat Update but Kies say that my firmware is allready the newest.
Are you sure Germany got the KitKat update? What about the device, does it find the update under About Device > Software Update? If not, you'll have to wait for Samsung to release the update in your country. And if your device is rooted or modded it won't update by itself, you'll have to do it manually.

I have the 4.1.2 Stock Rom and Germany was the first European Country who got the Update. But I´m not sure if the device is branded.

That means the carrier has a lot of bloatware on the Phone (I dont see any), the bootlogo is the carrier logo( I dont have it) and many more.

I'm in germany, and my GT-N8010 (Wifi version) seems willing to update via Kies. I saw on Sammobile that the new version is available. Have you checked there if the N8000 is already listed?

What about sending it to Samsung for the update? They'd probably do it for you. If you can be without your tablet for a few days that's an alternative. Or you could manually flash somehow the frimware through Odin.

My brother gifted s2 plus orange unlocked mobile from france I am in india this mobile is unlocked .. But 4.1.2 when i update to 4.2.2 it will locked or not or i will flash the indian stock rom or ordinary cynogenmod mod on orange mobile.....

It doesen't matter what stock 4.2.2 you flash, branding firmwares like orange or vodafone or else don't lock your device in that network, it just have branding apps like tv,deezer and others. You can flash any 4.2.2 update, you can find in our developer settings a thread about rooted firmwares without loosing warnity(bad english).
If your device is unlocked from the shop your brother bought it it doesen't matter the brand firmware.
Even you can install cm11, that is more flawless and faster but not stable.
I recommand you to try all those options, but after all make a backup for any situation

It doesn't matter what country firmware you are flashing,it won't lock your phone.
I got this mobile from usa officially unlocked it and now m in India and still not getting lollipop update and do still I have to use AT&T rom if I have officially unlocked my device. I am still not getting lollipop update and it's showing me no update found , it's now showing cause I'm in India . I have no idea how to update to lollipop .

I had this problem also because I was on another provider. I updated apn network to include "fota" under apn type. I checked for update and it showed immediately. I don't know if this will work for you because my provider is a prepaid and still uses AT&T's nework, but it's worth a shot.

My APN setting didn't have "fota" under APN type. After I did this, update showed immediately. Also other people who had this issue installed it the manual way. They downloaded the ota file and updated in Stock recovery.
