I am in no way associated with the seller.
I found these really nice cases and thought everyone should know. They are an actual battery cover.

Thanks for posting anyway.

way too expensive they don't even look good
by the way it's obviously just a piece of cloth/leather stuck on top of a phone backplate
even their picture shows that
if you are skilled at doing handy works, you can skin it yourself with whatever material you want to use and get the same look

I would like a soft touch battery door that I can grip in my hand so my phone wont fly out please no cases just da battery door
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
That wouldn't work really work on the Fascinate seeing as the battery door is the entire back of the phone, and the sides... that would be almost exactly the same as having a case.
Sent from my Galaxy S.
case adds major bulk and a cover wouldn't

I have sent Seidio an email about this exact issue. They make a extended battery door with that ruberized feel. It is just like the texture they use on their cases. I asked them if they would make a battery cover for the standard battery and he replied that they would look at developing one. I hope they do.
That would be cool I would stop having to catch my phone from slipping
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
What's the email ill ask too get more people to ask and hope they see the money they can make on just battery doors
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Just email here:

Let then let them know that there are many that would purchase that battery door.
OK I will
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
O well.... I got a new email from them.
Looks like we need more people to request this. I would seem that it would be VERY easy for them to manufacture this because they have all the tooling already made from all the other products that they already are making.
** PASS THE WORD **
This is the same thing they were saying about making ANYTHING for the fascinate before people started requesting.

Hey guys I don't know if my rep was misinformed or what but I said many users would like a rubberized back for the slim extended battery (same size as ours) and this was what I got.
Thank you for your inquiry at Seidioonline. We are more than happy to assist you with your concern. Unfortunately at this time we are not selling the back door for the extended battery for the Fascinate. We will sell that back door soon but as of the moment we do not have an ETA on when it will be available for purchase separately. We apologize for the inconvenience Your business and continued satisfaction is of great importance to us here at Seidioonline Customer Service, so feel free to contact us at(832) 204-1118 with any questions.
the rep could be confused and referring to the bigger battery or something...but we'll see

just get the OEM kickstand case I made a thread about in this forum. It will give you the grip you're looking for without adding hardly any bulk and it gives you a kickstand to boot...
else, just spray a rubberized coating on your current battery door.
Thanks, but that case adds too much bulk to fit docks that require the device to be 'naked'

If they do post a thread in here on it. I would love one a well.
Anyone that really wants one should email them and request that they make it.
The only way they will know if it would be popular is if we write them.

I might be interested in that, as mentioned you have peel the phone out of the kickstand case to dock.
Come on lets get people to email them so we can get it made already

you could make your own dock, follow the link below
I have more than one dock and car mounts. Plus I don't like any added bulk to my phone.

Until you drop your delicate phone, it breaks, and you realize the minimal added bulk from a case would have saved you a lot of $$$ and time. Also, that's kind of a silly thing to say considering all phones come naked.
<--Used to say he'd never use a case either, but after his tank-like Droid 1's screen inexplicably cracked from a 3-foot fall will never go without one again.
Are there any available?

I dont think so. Even if there were, the phone would be MASSIVE by the time everything is in place.

This is only one i found on ebay. I was going asking if anyone has tried this yet.
There are 2 types, that I know of.
One like the link above, and one that is full across the back
I got the second type of back, (link) for $12, as I like how it adds protection for the camera lens
I got the battery from here, (link) and it comes with a the first type of back for $18
I don't mind how it thickens the phone, and it actually makes holding when I type on the hw kb a lot more comfortable.
With the 3500mv battery, I was able to have my Epic OC'ed to 1.4GHz, brightness set to 100%, have BT, WiFi, GPS, & 4G on all day, and use the phone normally, and the battery still was over 48% when I got home from work, 10 hours later.
If the price for that is a little extra thickness, I will take that any day. Espically since I can always put the stock battery and back on if I want to use the slim profile for some reason.
Whoops...the link i posted was for a phone cover with the extended battery, not the battery cover. When you buy an extended battery from the same ebay seller he includes the battery cover. This is the case to protect the phone.

The case is ok but right now moretalktime is making a updated version that makes the access to button layouts better. I currently have it but im sending back in and waiting for the updated version since the case blocks some basics features like the speaker and the mic hole.
Can't one use the clip in holster where the face of the phone is facing the holster nd the back of the phone faces outward? A holster similar to the one used with the Seidio Active X cases?

I got tired of the extra bulk and ended up replacing it with an extra OEM battery. I'm keeping it around incase I go on a road trip however.

Yes...the hip belt clip case by Eddie Bauer sold at Best Buy works great with the extended battery.
Hey all, anyone else noticed on these Samsung Flip cases, they dont stay flush to the screen, in the case of the S view cover you would think the magnet would help keep it closed but no its just a trigger for the sensor. Bit expensive for what it is given it's flawed design.
From what I hear its great once you've broken it in
s view cover is a best cover for s4
I received mine today from handtec.. it fits and close perfectly.
I like this case but only grip it totally covers the led notification and coz of dat gotta keep checking if I missed a notification :banghead:
Sent from my Galaxy S4 .
It's a pain:silly: Samsung should flash a reminder in the s view window
Read elsewhere of someone cutting a button hole for the led :good:

Interesting. I might just bite on one of those. Even though I don't think it's actuall the official one, it's probably about the same. I have a co-worker who spent $60 on hers and I wasn't really impressed with the build quality, though I do love the concept. But to me, it seemed more like a $15 cover anyway.

I have a new Samsung Galaxy S4 S-View Flip Cover Folio Case (Black) if anyone wants it in uk £25 delivered pm me I just got a new case in new condition only used once.
I bought this cover, and I like it ... it's the one thing keeping me away from trying an AOSP ROM (e.g. CM 10.1) ... Don't want to lose the window functionality.
I had an official Samsung S-View cover given free when I upgraded my contract.
Like others have said, the front cover didnt stay closed flush to the screen, but after a day or so "bedding it in" it now closes perfectly.
I find the case very good, and it's great that you can answer/reject calls etc sliding across the case window itself.
There are however 2 fundamental flaws with this case:
1. There is no hole for the notification LED (as already mentioned) I was contemplating drillling a hole through it to allow for this, but wit this case on and shut, the LED notification only ever lights up to show it's charging. The LED is disabled for missed calls/sms when the case is shut! This is a huge flaw of the S4+S-View combination in my opinion.
I'm hoping a future firmware update will address this, but as the cases being sold do not have this hole, I would be extremely surprised if this is done. Perhaps this may be a mod for some clever dev to do! :good:
2. The case greatly interferes with the devices ability to use any compass app. Open up a compass app and slowly open/shut the case and you will see the compass bearing alter considerably. This puts a huge doubt over the accuracy of such apps when this case is in the open position.
could be better
It should have had the led hole from factory. but that's samsung for ya..good ideas always seem to be an afterthought.. anyway.. i just drilled a hole in mine and it seemed to do the trick. sometimes it closes too well as can be a pain to open (to grip using fingers), but still a better case then most as it doesn't add much bulk or wait to the phone.
Nice case but minimum protection
I had flip cover case on my note 1, i dropped the phone once and the case didn't helped much to protect the phone from scratches on the side. Now i have S4 with the S view cover and similar thing happened, my case opened during fall and landed on the screen... As much as i like the flip cases they offer very little protection. I have to try different case for the upcoming Note 3. Any suggestions which case can offer solid protection?

I would definitely give the Spigen Slim Armor View a try. I just got this case in black and it's totally awesome. There are many threads in here discussing this case. I would like give links to them but not sure how to do it so I would just do a search. Tons of pics and reviews as well.
Excuse my late reply, I got this phone with a free S-cover a week ago. In my opinion the case build quality is crap. I've broken the cover in and it doesn't stay closed until I had to bend the cover to create a deeper crease. Now the cover is starting to misalign and become loose. Volume button is covered also. Sides are fraying.
When I first got it, I already thought, this case was not protective at all. The cover seemed as thick as a peice of cardboard, and there is no covering or shock absorption at all around the edges or back.
A week later I went to my local Asian variety store and bought a protective case for $6. Quality was 10x than the s-view cover and I'm not even exagerating. Imediatley switched cases. Save your money. Don't buy this.
If you want to the quality of s-view cover, a makeshift credit card wrapped in cloth works just as well.
Surprisingly, I was able to price-match an Amazon price at Target. I'm enjoying it but I hope it breaks in cause the flap not closing issue is a tad inconvenient.
Has anybody modded a tpu case too accomodate the S View cover?
Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk 4
Samsung or ....others?? Samsung is OK, others NOT
Please specify in your infos if you are talking abount a ORIGINAL SAM S-View (arround 35$ - 55$) or a cheapo 'SUMSUMG' or any other type of cheaper S-Views (ranging from 8$ to 25$)
I had a 'fake' S-View, which didn't stay closed, added thikness to the back cover, looked like 'cardboard', and, furthermore, if you folded it open completelly to the back of the phone, it activated the magnet!! So it was really 'crappy'
I now have a real S-View, and none of the above apply!
It closes (and stays closed) perfectlly from minute 1
It's exactlly as thick as the original cover
It has a 'cleanable plastic' finish
It can be open 360º to the back without activating the magnet
So... beware of fakes. It was difficult to tell, as they 'case' them as if original, but they're definitelly LOW QUALITY.
Can you buy a case that users s view front cover? Im used to it now but want a case? ??? Thanks

Hello,
First, I'm sorry if this was discussed in details somewhere. I have read a lot of threads in accessories these last days. Even though some threads were about this subject (example : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2176767, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2200760), I haven't found the answer to my question. Moderators, feel free to move the thread, sorry if you have to.
To the point:
Basically my question is : Do we really have to choose between the dock and case/bumber? I would really love to be able to use both for obvious reasons (wireless charging and protection). I have found some cases that are supposed to fit the official dock, but according to users' reviews they are really bad and fragile (in addition to be ugly) : http://shop.brando.com/Simplism-Ultra-Thin-Cover-Set-for-Sony-Xperia-Z_p08858c1512d004.html or really bulky : http://shop.brando.com/Simplism-Flip-Note-Style-for-Sony-Xperia-Z_p8857c304d4.html
I would like to have something like the aluminium bumper : http://shop.brando.com/Sony-Xperia-Z-Metallic-Bumper_p8856c304d4.html
But with a charging pins cutout and a dock suitable for such a built. Probably a 3rd party kit : bumper + suitable dock sold with it.
Have anyone found something like this? Let's say no matter the price? Or some DIY is the only way so far? Would be really strange that no one on the market have thought about it...
Thanks!

I think the only way is to modify the dock(DK26) to fit aftermarket cases. Or make yourself your own.
Guys any idea if the Xperia Z would fit in the dock(DK26) with Spigen Glass.T?

I am using the DK26 dock and the Simplism cover with the Spigen glass T slim.
The way I worked it was to cut out from the back of the dock the 2 plastic arms that hold your phone in place when you dock it. this gives me a little more space and now the simplism cover and phone dock. its still tight but heck, it works.

I would bet more on first one than last one. Not because of price, but because it is thinnest. But still I think it will be not enough thin for dock. The thinnest case (simplism) is 0.35mm and by reviews it goes in dock in milimeters, I just wish to get one of the cases that are able to use with dock (even I have aftermarket dock) as it is annoying to put imak case everytime off the phone, when I need to charge it. So please, report us what was the results )
