If I look directly on the LCD screen then I only see a white screen. But if I look at the LCD screen via the touch screen (that is - I put the LCD off the touch screen) then I do see a display and not just a white screen. Between touch screen to the LCD screen was a bit liquid I had not known what it is and cleaned it. The problem is that right now even though I put on the touch screen the LCD and see display, the display is very weak. Why only when I look at the LCD via the touch screen I see display? Why when I look at it (on the LCD) directly I do not see a display only a white screen? Why after I separated the LCD and touch screen and then put them back together the display is weak?

I have recently replaced a broken screen of an apache with a new one and when i turn it on the screen turns on and is white, when I look at it side on I can see the devices screen is working but it is faded, e.g the today screen is there but very faded.
I was wondering what could be the problem?
I replaced my screen recently as well and had a similar issue. Make sure the ribbon cable coming off the screen is attached correctly - you'll need to raise the black bar on the connector, push the cable all the way in, and lower the bar to make full contact.

My screen is cracked since few mounths. After the drop the touch screen didn't work for half of the screen, the half, in orhizzontal, where the screen is cracked. Tonight I tried here (Sony eSupport - Electronics - Drivers & Software) panel calibration tool, now the touch screen works everywhere and now it's the situazion is worst then before. The cracked screen press itself and I can't use the tablet. Now I disabled touch screen in device manager, but my SP3 without touch is very sad I want to ask if there is the possibility to disable only part of the touch screen, the screen is cracked only for a few cm, I could use it completely even without that portion of the screen. Thanks.
I doubt you woudl be able to disable part of it, it would be a case of just disabling it full stop as it'll get worse..
i bought a new screen without frame. first time i installed it, the screen works fine and i can control it on the screen. but after i have reboot the phone, i can't control it by touch. What's wrong? btw what is digitizer. is that the frame related to screen touch?
The digitizer is the part of the screen that responds to finger touches.

I got problem: after changing broken display, new on has some issues: i can see very small blinking horizontal stripes (darker and brighter, so they are visible mostly on colors other than black/white) and they are moving, like when you record screen with different refresh rate.
Also sometimes there is problem: when I turn on screen, after few seconds all colors change to bright and contrast is extremally high (like with using some bad picture filter), or very rarely i have vertical stripes, which become more visible, all screen becomes brighter and there is no response when I touch screen. This two problems dissapear, when I turn off and on screen again. (but I still can see delicate horizontal stripes - these are all the time)
Is it problem with software, or hardware?
If hardware, it is because broken/poor quality screen, or there is some issue (damage? dirt?) on the connection between screen and mainboard, on socket or band?
