Flashing a custom kernel, install xposed and its modules on stock CM11S can be the reason of not getting an OTA? I know the OTA a being rolled out in batches but generally can these be the reason of not getting it?
They shouldn't cause you to not receive the OTA notification, but they'll definitely cause it fail if you try to install it.

Thank you for your reply but I can revert back to fully stock if I get the notification... All I was asking was will I get notified? If the OTA comes?

As I said, those things have no effect on whether or not you receive the notification.

what can i do and what can i not do, to still be able to receive ota updates?
As long as you're running CM11S you'll still be able to receive OTA updates. You can have an unlocked bootloader, you can have TWRP recovery installed. The only thing you can't do is have modified/removed system files, or Xposed Framework. If you do have Xposed Framework it's as simple as deactivating it before installing an update.

What about root and custom kernel? Can i still install the OTA ?(CM11S here)
Yes you can. You'll lose root but it's as easy as flashing SuperSU again after the update.

Yes but OTA's will be here in xda so no need to be on a stock rom with less features if you dont want to be. We have developers here that will prepare the OTA and have it flash-able for you within hours of it coming out. Remember most OTA's are done in stages so you may not have it right away.
our developers are great but they wont have android L within 90 days of launch lol

Hey guys,
New to the OPO, just came from the galaxy note 2 and love the phone but have an issue.
When I am in an app like Facebook and am scrolling, while I am mid scroll (haven't lifted my finger from the screen) it opens a picture or the comments section for some reason.... Anyone else having this issue and is there a possible fix?
Thank you!
Update your ROM. ROMs with older touchscreen drivers are known to cause this.
I have this problem also on 38R ... I had also that touchscreen issues like people said here after 38R update but yesterday it gone.

Pretty new to android... Can someone point me in the right direction with how to root, install new custom kernels and whatever else I would need to get rid of this lag issue! Thank you!

You can do either, the choice is entirely yours, just remember to make a backup first.

Are there any ROMs out there that are better then the 11s? Also to make a backup in TWRP do I just go into download mode and hit back up and select all three options?

The term 'better' is very subjective, only you can answer that after testing out some ROMs. What do you mean by 'download mode'? Go into recovery, select backup from the main menu, name sure system, data, and boot are checked, and swipe to backup.

I like several ROMs, and there's really no point in me telling you what they are because everyone has different tastes and different needs from a ROM. I can only suggest you check a few out, read their feature sets, and try them.

Alright, so if the OnePlus was meant to be a great mod'ers phone, which I think it is...
what's the point of OnePlus locking and bootlocking a phone they warranty even if you do unlock and boot loader unlock/root?
Thanks.
To pass CTS for Google
#stayparanoid
Exactly.

Ok, understood. Given that and OnePlus's warranty remains after flashing, etc, prompting/supporting mod'ding, would it also then be a 'violation' against the CTAS for OnePlus to 'provide' a flash tool/unlock tool?
They don't provide a flash/unlock tool.

Yes, they do not. I'm wondering with all of their fanfare about their CM, mod'ing etc, why they don't?

They most likely don't because it'd be a waste of time and effort. It only takes one fastboot command to unlock this phone, it doesn't get any easier than that.

Got it. I'm wondering if that will still be available as Android puts out "L"/other updates? Or is the ease of unlocking always going to be this simple?

The version of Android that's running on the device should have zero impact on how easy it is to unlock the bootloader, they're not really related. Unless OnePlus devices to take a drastically different approach to the device all of a sudden, things will continue as normal.

Hi All,
I've installed TugaPower V35 and currently upgrading to 36. I have an issue with the scrolling sensitivity.
When scrolling a list, like contacts, I require to use a long and really fast flick on the screen in order to get just this very small push in the scrolling speed.
In some cases I experience ghosting or weird touch issues that disabling me from typing a message.
can someone please guide me for a fix?
Thanks!
please, anyone?
Why not actually ask in the Tuga thread?
Transmitted via Bacon
because it's not rom related.
I stated what I'm running currently in order to provide somewhat useful info. but its not rom related.
Have you tried a wipe and fresh install of CM11S?
Transmitted via Bacon
I didn't. Is this really going to solve this?
If I'm on 5.0.2, then how an older version will amend this issue?

It isn't about going forwards or backwards, it's about undoing any modifications/bugs/firmware mismatches by returning the device to a stock configuration (flashing the fastboot stock images). If anything is going to fix your problem, this is your best bet.
Transmitted via Bacon
Ok. So from my current version, can you please direct me to the best guide on how to go back to latest stock and then at least unlock and root?
thanks!
You'll find full instructions in section 8 of my guide thread. You don't need to relock your bootloader, and just root again as you normally would.

Should I try this ROM as this is tweaked but still CM11

You can try the ROM, but you still need to wipe and flash the stock images first.

Yep, I thought so. Ok, I'll try that, though experience tells me that I won't get it resolved.
My wife has the OPO and I installed latest cm12 nightly and her phone doesn't have these issues... I bought mine 2nd hand and that is my punishment.

I'm not sure if this is related, but try with boeffla kernel ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...ernel-boeffla-kernel-1-0-2-0-beta-09-t2899974 )
and with this firmware: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934519251 (credits to katinatez, pulled from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/rom-cm11-temasek-build-t2870743 )
I'm having a similar problem and it seems to be better now. Let me know

Is rooting the OPO on 4.4.4 05Q the same as rooting it on 4.4.4 44S? thanks a lot guys. I couldn't find any answer on this anywhere else considering this update is fairly new
Yes. It's the same no matter what firmware version you're on.

...and you just need to update SuperSU app in order to maintain 05Q rooted (if previous version was, of course...)
This is odd. I was previously Unlocked, and Rooted, with SuperSU 2.37. After OTA update to 05Q, my Root is gone. No SuperSU app in my installed program list.
Okay, so I go look for the latest, find that it's now at 2.46, download, reboot, flash (no errors), reboot, and i'm back into my phone. But: Still no SuperSU in my apps list, and I'm getting warnings from XPrivacy that it's not running. Does anyone recognize these symptoms? Am I still rooted or not?
thanks guys so can i use any 4.4.4 root toolkit?
i guess you can, unfortunately i'm not skilled in android things but as timmaaa said nothing changed between 44S and 05Q so your toolkit should work if you root your phone for first time. Take a little time to install custom twrp recovery and make a nandroid backup first...just in case of...

Don't use a toolkit, they're bad news. They cause more problems than they're worth, plus they allow you to do things to your device without actually knowing what's going on, which is bypassing some very crucial learning and knowledge.
This phone is very easy to unlock and root. Very easy. Just go to my guide thread here:
