CyanogenOS BootAnimation - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Hey, I want to start off by noting that I don't have a clue where I got the original bootanimation from. I've had it on my computer for a week or so and I just cannot recall where I downloaded it from... So unfortunately I cannot credit anyone with the original.
Anyways, I wanted to see this bootanimation for myself so I modified it to fit our phones. Here's a preview of the animation:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NIsv0aHbOw
And below is a download link of said animation.
Edit: I want to note this is just the animation. This is not a flashable .zip. I'm assuming if you're interested in this animation you're using cyanogenmod... Your bootamination.zip is in /system/media just replace/copy/delete the current bootanim in there and copy this one to that folder.

[Q] Install bootanimation.zip on MIUI?

The only way i know of in MIUI to change boot animation is by going into themes and customizing the boot animation via downloading random chinese MIUI boot animations online. Say i've got my own bootanimation.zip? How can I make that my current boot animation without MIUI getting in the way? Should i just put it in system/bin? That's it? Or is their something else i have to do? <.< Any help is greatly appreciated
Miui themes (including the bootanimation) are stored in .mtz files. They are just zip archives with specific contents. My suggestion is to download one of the online bootanimaions available for miui and then open it winrar or 7zip and you can see what the contents look like and mirror it to package the bootanimation.zip that you want. Then place it in the miui/theme folder on your sdcard

[Boot Animation] CyanogenMod9 official boot animation for MDPI (320x480) devices.

Hello everyone!
I've made my first boot animation for MDPI devices. I tried to made nice-looking light boot animation to some older devices as my Xperia X8 or LG GT-540. The result isn't great but it looks nice
There are two versions:
bootanimation.zip - copy this file to system/media and replace current bootanimation
update-CM9-Bootanimation-320x480.zip - ClockworkMod update (much easier to apply)
Remember to copy old one! And this might brick your device. as all stuff here
Here's the look of official boot animation.
If you like my work, hit the thanks button
I think that I put this in wrong section. Sorry for that ;] Could someone move this to correct one?

*UPDATED*
I think i don't even have a bootanimation.zip in my phone... i searched in the entire root and nothing...
I've never changed a boot animation in any of my phones, so i'm kind of lost here
Look's good! But on LG-P500 it small lagging)
copied the zip to the sdcard, flashed it with cwm recovery but I still have the normal android boot animation...

The zip it's no to be flashed... you have to put it in your phone inner memory "/system/media" folder (if you haver another bootanimation.zip there, rename it just in case)
And that's it
There are 2 archives in the first post - one to be flashed with cwm recovery and one to be put directly in /system/media , none of them worked until I copied the bootanimation.zip in /data/local also. Now it works, but the quality of the gif is very very bad..much wore than the old cm7 animation.

New CM10 boot animation

Hi everyone
There is a new CM boot animation provided by 73v1n and it looks really nice. Honestly, I like this very much, more than that of the old CID CM9 animation (that one makes me sick).
This boot animation has a simple design, with a running arc reactor(?) with the cyanogenmod title right in the middle. It does not imply the exact version, so I think this is also suitable for CM9 users.
I hope devs can incoporate this nice animation into their future CM nightlies
Credit goes to 73v1n
How to install:
1. Download the compressed file "CM10ZipSaves.zip"
2. Decompress the bootanimation.zip from the directory CM10ZipSaves.zip/Vertical/800
3. Copy bootanimation.zip to system/media by Root Explorer or any other file explorer
4. You are good to go!

Yeah, the new boot animation is way better than the CM9 version. Anyways, here is a flashable version. Choose the HD version.
Cheers.

boot animation won't change

Came across a real neat boot animation but it just wouldn't come up.
I changed the name to bootanimation.zip and the stock one to: bootanimationstock.zip
placed it in system/media with system on r\w.
Also checked the config file which says to load file system/media/bootanimation04.zip
Tried renaming the boot animation i wanted to bootanimation04.zip
All i get now is this minimalistic bootanimation where the small letters : ''Android'' are flashing.
I'm on rooted JB 4.2.1
Any suggestions?

This is how I change the boot animation: using Root Browser, I put the bootanimation.zip file inside /data/local.
Not sure about the minimalistic bootanimation you're getting, but that kinda sounds cool! (I like minimalistic designs)

Put it in /data/local and name it bootanimation.zip - it will be preferred to the one in the ROM.

Also tried that, but it didn't work at the time. I'll try again tomorrow. Really want to have this boot animation

I don't really like it haha, it seems like this is a backup animation. Can't get the stock animation to stick anymore
Update: pretty sure I put it in the right folder now but it didn't work.
Thanks anyway
"System\media\" and "data\local\" not working. I tried...
I've tried it. Copied my bootanimation.zip file to that 2 folder. But not working. My phone starts no boot animations. Just blank dark screen. My bootanimation.zip was working few months ago the system was Android 4.4.4 (i think that was 1 year ago). But now that is not working, what will i do ?
My Bootanimation video is here -> My Video
Thanks.

Boot Animations! Show and share!

Welcome! This is a separate thread from the homescreen & wallpaper one.
Here you can share boot animations and splash screens and only that!
If you show, please try to share it! Either in a flashable zip, system file (replaceable file in system), or APK (like LiveBoot)
Also, try to state the dimensions of your file if it was not originally meant for/sized to the S7/E
Try to avoid requesting custom animations, but I understand there are wishes.
PLEASE
-Give credit to the creator
-Do not be rude when someone asks how to use your method of installing your animation - if anything PM me with a tutorial and a link to your file/s and I'll add it to this main post.
This will eventually be made into a Boot Animation Central Thread - a place you can find boot animations for your S7/E - So PM me if you want anything added here!:good:
Need Original Boot QMGs
I tried making my own boot animation (failed horribly, btw), and now I am stuck with this crappy animation and I kinda need the original animation files (from /system/media, bootsamsung.qmg, bootsamsungloop.qmg, shutdown.qmg). I kinda said 'crap' in my head as soon as I had overwritten those files. Anyone mind sending me them? And maybe adding them to this post here?
--Addition
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on the SM-G935U firmware.
--Addition
I made another one, anyways. Looks a lot nicer than the one I had before.
