Hi Angelo,
sounds like there is/was Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP), a custom recovery on the device.
Here is a thread about how to get official OTA updates working again: HTC One M7 AT&T Update Assistance.
Here are various tutorials for this device: [Tutorial] Root, Unlock, Recovery and flashing a Custom ROM.

[Completed] [Q] my htc m7 phone is not working due to wrong installation

I bought "htc m7" 1 week ago on an online website and it is imported. I updated 4.3 developer OS in it. I followed the wrong procedure. Since then my phone stopped working. I didn't enable the OTG and also my phone is in s-off position. It says that no OS is installed. ADB is also not connected to the phone. How to install OS in my phone? How to get back my phone to normal position?
Please help me out as quickly as possible!
