My device is Asus Zenfone 5 . I'm getting official updates regularly . Now if I root ( just root,No changes of rom and kernel ) my device shall I get official updates from asus? TIA
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Since 5.x ota updates will fall if you're rooted or changed any system files. You'll need to know how to flash the stock firmware on your device to rectify this.

Can i flash Kitkat official stock rom on to Lollipop running system Because there is no Offical stock lollipop rom for Note 3 t-mobile. My phone stuck soft bricked and advised to back to the official stock rom is the easiest way. I was worry if i hard brick my phone by flashing older version rom like kitkat. Is there any way to flash kitkat rom after installing lollipop rom.

Hi, thank you for issuing XDA Assist. I'm not sure on the note 3 but other Samsung devices it is possible to flash in Odin the stock 4.4.4 stock firmware. It won't brick your device, Odin will just fall to install it. The best place to ask your question is here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/help. They are the experts on your device.

I would like to install Lollipop 5.1 ROM on my phone Micromax Xpress 2 which has 4.4.2.
As there is no custom ROM to install on the said phone, I would like to upgrade to Lollipop 5.1 without waiting for Micromax to provide the upgrade.
Is it possible?

Firmware and roms are device specific so never try to flash something on your device that is not specifically made for it. Unfortunately there is not a specific forum for your device on XDA. And I can't find lollipop firmware or roms for your device. The best place to find help though is here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android.

I have digiflip pro xt911 tablet. i want to update the tablet to Lollipop. I have searched the google extensively for custom ROM or stock lollipop ROM, but no luck . Even i tried to build one using ROM kitchen posted in this forum but not understood lot of instruction in the guide . (i am very new to android development). If any one has Lollipop custom ROM or u have built it please post here the step by step instructions to update.
Currently it is running kitkat 4.4.2, but i am fed-up with kitkat .. i want to update the tablet with lollipop or windows 10 (because it a x86 tablet with Z2580 intel chipset)
Please help even i mailed some of the developers here, but i did not receive any reply from them.

You may not be able to downgrade to stock 4.4. as samsung sometimes lock the bootloader. There are plenty of guides to root in the a series forums and there are custom roms you could flash through recovery to downgrade

I have a HTC m10u (lifestyle) and i wanted to know if there are any custom ROMs (like Viper10 or Crdroid or Cyanogen) available for this model , or will there ever be one.
I have installed a custorm recovery , TWRP and i have rooted it on 6.0.1 and Android Nougat will be available for this model and I cant OTA update for now, that's why i may need a custom ROM...
