[Q] Fast boot mode and recovery mode in korean - AT&T LG G2

Hello All,
I wanted to install the Custom Cloudy ROM on my unlocked AT&T G2 D800. I have followed these procedures.
1. Root the Phone and installed Stumproot, SuperSU
2. Install autorec TWRP Custom Recovery
3. Installed quick boot.
4. Download CloudyG2 & the Kitkat baseband
5. Do Full Wipe - wipe Dalvik Cache, System, Data, and Cache.
6. Go back to the recovery menu and Flash Kitkat baseband
7. Flash CloudyG2 3.0
After this point, I accidentally choose the korean model since AT&T D800 wasn't listed.
Now my phone is in "fast boot mode" forever. Somehow I managed to get into recovery mode. This menu shows in korean and I have no clue hot to proceed.
Please help me. What are my options?
Thanks.

You can put the phone in download mode and flash the LG G2 AT&T firmware. Then you can redo the stuff that you want to do.

Full backup and restore

hi everyone,
I have a LG Optimus Black (P970) but I'm using this subforum and not the subforum for my phone because this a general thing, or at least the most of it.
I want to "play" with custom rom's and custom kernels. But I'm afraid because the warranty. So I have a few questions.
1. How to backup the stock rom, the stock kernel and stock recovery image?
2. How to restore this backup so that if I have to send my phone to the warranty, I wont have any problem and LG wont find out that I flashed a custom rom/kernel/recovery.
3. I saw that if I install a recovery rom and then install a custom rom, after each boot, the recovery image e flashed with the stock one (/system/recovery.img). Is this true?
4. I saw a tutorial to install the stock rom:
1. Download LG Mobile Updater (http://www.lg.com/de/support/mc-supp...p?countryCd=de)
2. Install Mobile Updater
3. Remove Battery from the phone and plug it to the Computer while Holding Vol-Up Button. Display should now show S/W Upgrade
4. Start the Mobile Updater, if needed install USB-Drivers
5. In the Menu of the Mobile Updater choose Customer Service -> Emergency Repair
6. Enter the IMEI of your Phone when the Updater asks for it and click Check
7. The Phone gets now reflashed. All Partitions except the Data Partition will be reflashed. This will install the stock rom, the stock kernel and stock recovery image? And this will be like a fail safe? For an exemple, if I brick my phone, I can always use this and revert any changes and unbrick my phone?
Thanks for all the help you can give me.

Stuck On LG LOGO after rom

Can someone explain what exactly im doing wrong. So i keep getting suck at the LG logo after installing bliss pop (no gapps) heres my steps.
1. Power completely off.
2. Hold up and plug in phone to computer.
3. Restore phone back to 20o
4. Power up and root
5. Move all files to phone
6. Extract IMG from zip and Flashify recovery from here: http://blastagator.ddns.net/twrp.html
7. Reboot into recovery. Flash actual zip from above link (not sure if that actually matter)
8. back to main menu and reboot recovery
9. Wipe everything but internal
10. flash bootloader for 5.1.1 (D80030F(Bump LP)*) here: http://blastagator.ddns.net/bootloader.php
11. Flash Bliss Pop.
12. Wipe Cache/Dalvik
13. Reboot
And then repeats the cycle
Is there something im missing or doing wrong here?
EDIT: Got it working. Basically all the way up to step 9 what I did there was wipe again then installed the Stock LP ROM from blastagator and booted into it. I then went back into recovery wiped everything again flashed the D80030F bootlader the bliss and gapps. Working like a charm now. Whatever was in the stock lp ROM is what helped lay the grounds for bliss to work.
i have same issue. i can't boot into rom after flashing any rom using twrp. it just gets stuck on LG logo.
which stock did you flash ? the stripped lp rom from blastagator ? I still couldn't boot into OS.
btw i used ioroot if that matters. should i use some other rooting tool ?

Can't access bootloader.

Hi,
My friend has an Xperia L with cyanognemod 11 running on it. Tried to flash resurrection remix ROM and ended up bad. These are the steps I followed:
1. cwrp recovery was already installed and bootloader was already unlocked.
2. I copied the resurrection remix zip file into sd card
3. Went to recovery, wiped cache partition. (Did not do a factory reset. My mistake).
4. Installed the zip
5. Installed the WRONG version of Gapps. Installed gapps for 4.4 instead of 5.1.
6. Device successfully booted to resurrection remix. However, the wallpaper and apps that were already there is still there! It was like I upgraded the phone to lolippop. However, it is not possible to use the phone because com.android.phone keeps crashing and everything is very sluggish. I was hoping for a fresh install.
7. Now the problem - I can't access the bootloader. If I do adb reboot bootloader or select bootloader from recovery, it just gives me a blue charging light and that's it. But I can access recovery and boot to os still. Also, cwrp recovery is now replaced by cyangenmod recovery and I can't factory reset/wipe cache from it. It fails with 'cannot load volume /misc' when I try to flash the same ROM again.
8. I can't even do a factory reset after booting into resurection remix. I press 'reset factory settings' and nothing happens.
So any ideas? The really bad thing is that I can't access the bootloader and hence cannot use fastboot.

There are many ways to get out of this. Nothing is really messed up. If you get a blue led, it means you're in the bootloader. Try reinstalling your fastboot drivers. Firstly, get a fota recovery. If you can boot into android, install this app, [APP][RECOVERY][ROOT]Recoveries and Recovery Installer for Taoshan , allow root access (Enable under developer options), and install Twrp. Boot into twrp, and you can wipe system, data, cache and reinstall your rom without gapps.
The app is hardly recommended by me in this case ( okok i know xD )
After reboot bootloader you get blue led... THAT is fastbootmode
And btw you cant load volumen /misc because our device have no so thats not a error (you can ignore it )
Sent from my mint using XDA Free mobile app
Thanks agent_fabulous and barbarossa, but when the blue light was on 'fastboot devices' did not list any devices. Also, unplugging the device from my pc seemed to turn it off. So I thought it was some sort of charging mode rather than fastboot. Thanks for the information, I will try them and get back to you. This community rocks!
Solved!
Using that app to install twrp worked. Wiped everything and flashed the ROM again. Working like a charm. Thanks a lot

Sprint Galaxy S5 stuck at Sprint Spark screen

Hello,
Hope someone might be able to help. I have a Galaxy S5 (sprint), it had been running slow so I wanted to just do a factory reset. So I tried that, and when it rebooted it got stuck at the spark startup screen. It won't go any further than that.
At this point, I would like to try Cyanogen or some other rom on it. But I can't seem to get anything to work.
I'm able to get into the download mode of the phone.
Is there anyone on here that give me some troubleshooting steps, and help on getting a new ROM installed and working.
I've been looking online, and see so much conflicting info or things that just don't work at least not for me.
Thanks!
Chris
go here and create a login. download odin, then go here and download OK4. Flash OK4 in odin. Then flash twrp 3.0.2-1 in odin, reboot into recovery, select reboot, reboot system, swipe to install supersu. Reboot. Download whatever ROM you want, factory reset, install the rom and its gapps (if CM based), delete the android folders in twrp under advanced/file manager, wipe cache and dalvik, reboot, profit

Still on 4.4.2 official but rooted. Update???

Hi,
I have a note 3 still on official 4.4.2 but rooted. Since a few days my battery starts draining fast. Maybe it's time to update. Or is it not profitable for such an old device to upgrade to whatever the latest version is?
What is the latest official version for the note 3? And what is the best way to get that? Just unroot and use the update from the system?
You could use a different kernel or try a custom ROM.
Well a few years ago I was change roms constantly on different phones. That was 3 years ago. Now I am not into roms anymore just need a stable phone. Besides I have really no clue how the room installing these days work. Just install from zip in recovery?
Can I do that safe from 4.4.2?

Yes, but you would have to update your bootloader and modem through Odin first for Lollipop and Marshmallow based ROMs to work and boot on your phone.
Running Kitkat bootloader won't make your phone bootup on Lollipop and or Marshmallow based ROMs.
You need a custom recovery of course before flashing a ROM ; TWRP , CWM or PhilZ
(TWRP Method)
Factory Reset your Phone.
Clear Dalvik Cache, System, Cache, Data.
Do not select Internal Storage and Micro SD card, if you do, storage on both internal and external storage would be erased.
I recommend using TWRP 2.8.7.0 as the latest version which is the 3.0.2.0 does not support Aroma Installer.
After you have Factory reset and cleared dalvik cache, system, cache and data.
Now do this
1) Boot into recovery
2) Flash ROM
Done.
With SuperSU ;
1) Boot into recovery
2) Flash ROM
3) Flash SuperSU

OK the so I have to flash 2 times the same rom? Which is the best rom that comes closed to an official untouched one?
I don't understand how to flash the bootloader. Is that installing from recovery? Using install from zip?
For installing bootloader and modem you have to flash with odin.
If you search google then you can find the method how to do it and for bootloader and modem search any latest version of custom rom.you will find the links.

In my opinion i would say flash lollipop firmware first before you should root it all by odin

Flash bootloader and modem on Odin, it doesn't matter whether you are on Kitkat.
SM-N9005 bootloader and modem :
https://idlekernel.com/flash-tools/firmware/hlte_SM-N9005XX/N9005XXUGPOK2/
Steps before installing a ROM:
1) Download both bootloader and modem from the link given above.
2) Switch off your Phone
3) Boot phone into Download mode by pressing home button and volume down button
4) Connect phone to computer
5) Open up Odin
6) Click on BL and select BL_N9005XXUGPOK2_BOOTLOADER
7) Click on CP and select CP_N9005XXUGPOK2_MODEM
8) Click Start
-----------------------------------------------
Once done, here's how to install a ROM
You have to download a ROM and STORE IT INTO YOUR PHONE before doing this
1) Download TWRP 2.8.7.0
2) Connect phone to computer
3) Open up Odin
4) Click AP, browse to where you have stored the TWRP file/zip and click on it
5) Press Start
6) Switch off Phone and boot into recovery mode by pressing ; Power button, volume up, home button at the same time. Hold it till you feel the phone vibrates twice.
7) Wipe Dalvik Cache, System, Cache, Data and FACTORY RESET.
DO NOT SELECT INTERNAL STORAGE AND MICRO SD CARD.
8) Flash ROM
9) Reboot
-----------------------------------------------
Installing a ROM depends, if it doesnt have GAPPS you have to download it.
If it doesn't comes in with SUPERSU you have to download it. Example ;
Flash ROM
Flash GAPPS
Flash SUPERSU

Don't forget to backup ur whole nandroid before do anything n save it to ur drive computer, trust me
U can use twrp/cwm or flashfire
Stay on 4.4.2, reset to factory, backup first, your battery will be even worst on Lillipop or Marshmellow.
Get a new battery
Just update to 5.0.1, if you still have issues, flash a rom. Also this should've been posted in the Q&A section, or a search would've worked.
Ok I updated now to lollipop thru kies. All went well. Thinking about upgrading to Marshmallow.
