Hey all I'm a Noob sorry,not sure if you guys can assist or if I'm in the right forum. I purchased an android project from Chinavasion (DROIDBEAM PROJECTOR) worked great for about one year. Now when booted all other source input vga, hdmi, usb, av, works and projects the video/ image however the android source when selected won't boot. I tired holding power + vol up but nothing happens is there a way to restore or recover/reinstall the android os.
NB: The website offers no support or firmware for this. I did contact them but because I purchased via eBay I was unable to get any sort of assistance.

Sorry ... I can't find anything related to your Android projector on xda.
But you can register on xda and ask either in the [Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly] by dagger thread, or in the [HELP THREAD] Ask ANY Question. Noob Friendly. by immortalneo thread.
There you may get better advices.

Help requested before I am carried away to the funny farm. :crying:
I flashed the wrong rom ( phone instead of tablet ) and completely screwed up. Tablet charges OK but only boots to first splash screen and then powers off. Unfortunately this device does not have a external volume control so unable to do a standard get out of jail sequence. According to info I have found if I put the power switch to lock and press reset button for 30 seconds then plug into pc device should be found and windows will ask for a driver. So far so good, windows 8.1 would not load any android driver that I could find,Microsoft wanted $99 to sort, so had a thought and created a windows 7 live usb stick and hey presto when I plugged into pc tablet found and Android composite adb interface installed. BUT I still can not do anything with it. ADB can not see device (i presume because it is switched off ? )
I do have the manufacturers rom to get back to basics and nothing on tablet that I am bothered about so could any of you kind experts offer any suggestion as to how I can get rom onto device or is it a case of the BIG hammer and joining the ghost riders in the sky.
I have spoken to Archos who are a complete load of ********* ( If I put what I really thought I would be banned for life ) short answer was do not support that device anymore but if you would care to purchase one of our new machines fromthe web we could offer a 10% discount.
I have also tried RKAndroidBatchUpgrade and that seems to find the device but fails the test before flashing.

That's a tough situation. Often flashing a rom from a different device can mean doom. However, I suggest you ask for help here, as I can't find any relevant info on XDA for your device...

Hi, basically the problem is when I go to settings there is no option called "users". when I swipe down there is no user avatar. by the way android lollipop is the software version. I was watching a review on YouTube, there they had the option. but I don't. anyone knows why?

Hello, I've impulsively bought a Huawei Ascend Y6. That's my fault and all, but I'd like to be able to install a custom ROM on it at the very least.
However, I see very little information on it over the web, and I can't find any ROM which supports it. Is there some way I can install my own OS on the device, without GApps and with F-Droid instead? What should I be doing if I want to get a custom ROM installed on this device when I get it?

Yep, I'm asking around a lot here. No Y6 ROMs, as you've mentioned. So far, my options are to root the device and purge as much nasty stuff out of the phone as I can, mail the phone back and buy something much more expensive (IMO this phone has good hardware for the price), or try my hand at developing myself.
I can only imagine that things would go very wrong if I tried the last option. There don't seem to be any third-party recovery modes for the Y6, so I wouldn't be able to screw up at all. So I guess that's out of question.

I have a insignia tablet NS-14T004, it's not mine, but my life depends on it, 'cause it's bleong to a bussiness man that told me if i get fix it, he will give me a job, because i'm not working since a long time i try for every way to fix it but god's sake there not option for me.... and I'm desperate because I have a son and it's really hard not work, but I've always struggled to get ahead, and that's why I need because I'm not a programmer, only a technical simple, and I need a recovery for this tablet, one that can be installed without root, since this does not pass the logo of android, just ask this, then I would try to ride him some support android (comes with 4.1) and try to recover it !!!
if this is not possible, only you need Rom like this, or a backup of this tablet ...
the agradeceria truth to any or all if possible .. !! they would be eternally grateful ..

hello! I just bought a brand new mint in box Samsung A23 5G. Phone works fine but i have an issue. When i plug it into my pc the phone just charges, it won't connect to let me transfer music and stuff to the phone. Am i doing something incorrect?
