HEY GUYS WATS UP??? HOWS YOUR NINJA 4. :victory:
IF YOU GET BORED OF SAME BOOT ANIMATION AND NO SOUND and WANT TO CHANGE IT :cyclops: , THEN YOU REACHED AT CORRECT CORNER . IF NOT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE :good:.
REQUIREMENTS -
1. ROOTED
2. APP- ROOT BROWSER , TERMINAL EMULATER.
3. SCRIPT - bootsnd.sh
4. FILES - bootanimation.zip , boot.wav , android_audio.mp3 :: LINUX IS CASE SENSITIVE SO FILE NAME SHOULD lowercase :: :angel:
STEPS -
1. Download bootsnd.sh.txt ( rename it to bootsnd.sh ) , bootanimation.zip , bootsound.zip and put it on root of your sdcard. "/sdcard", now extract " bootsound.zip " in sdcard. NOW YOU HAVE THREE FILES - bootanimation.zip , boot.wav , android_audio.mp3.
2. open terminal emulator (download from google play store, its free) , and type following code -
su
cd /sdcard
sh bootsnd.sh
> if everything will be fine it will not show any output, if error coming or showing message -
" no such user root:shell "
IT IS FINE NOW, CLOSE TERMINAL.
3. OPEN ROOT BROWSER (R/W) THEN CHECK FOLLOWING FILES & make sure the file has transfered over-
1. init.local.rc | /system/etc/init.local.rc
2. bootsound | /system/bin
4. If files are present then it means script run successfully. otherwise run it again.
5. now copy the bootanimation.zip (replace the old one) , boot.wav , android_audio.mp3 from your sdcard to /system/media .
6. reboot and watch..
NOTE -
1. bootsound depends upon boot animation , if bootanimation is of 15sec, then boot.wav , and android_audio.mp3 sholud be of 15 sec.
2. if you want to change sound then boot.wav , android_audio.mp3 should be of same sound file.
for example - i want to make smackthat.mp3 to boot sound then
smackthat.mp3 = android_audio.mp3 (rename)
smackthat.mp3 = boot.wav (convert .mp3 to .wav usin converter tool, and name it to boot)
I HOPE YOU ALL UNDERSTAND.

[Guide] Change system apps icon without apktool

Hello all , i post my new guide to change icons without using apktool . This guide is for newbies though other all advance developer may think this useless or may be they known this a very ago.
# Note :-
1) This guide is for all newbies who want to edit there app icons , but dont have apktool or have no knowledge about it .
2) This guide is only applicable for system apps .
3) You should have knoweledge for flashing zips by CWM .
# What is needed ?
1) A must have computer with paint (opptional) [ some phones with Zarchiver app can be used . ]
2) WinRar
3) A flashable zip file supplied by other developer .
4) A icon Set which you want to replace with .
# Procedure :-
1) Make a directory called " stock " .
2) Paste your app in it .
3) Below i have taken SystemUI.apk.
4) Rename that app to SystemUI.zip ( just make .apk to .zip format )
5) Then go to options (press right mouse button) press Extract to SystemUI
6) After extracting go to the extracted folder " SystemUI"
7) Browse to res / drawable-mdpi / you will find all icons there . ( In my case its mdpi , it may be hpdi .)
8) Note that the resolution must be same or it may not look good . [ Expiremental ]
9) Replace the icon which you want to from your icon set .
10) Go back to folder where you will find folders like META-INF , res , & files like AndroidManifest.xml , classes.dex, resources.arsc .
11) Now select that all files and press the right button of the mouse ( the options button) .
12) Select the Add to Archive option .
13) Now keep the same name of the app you are modding and select " zip " .
14) A new zip file is created like " SystemUI.zip" . Rename it to SystemUI.apk ( just from .zip to .apk )
15) Now your modded app is ready .
16) Take the flashable zip provided by other developer .
17) open that zip and replace your file with his . ( in folder system/app/ " replace here ." )
18) Save the zip . And Flash it using CWM !!! Enjoy now you can see your modded icons .!!
I will post xml editing guide for newbies afterwards .

Dolby Digital Plus for Tab ( Android 4.4.2x )

DOLBY DIGITAL PLUS
For Android 4.4.2x
(Two types of installation below)
Since this is a software, it should work on all Android tablet ( 4.4.2 and above ). Its ported from Lenovo Tab with demo video. This contains two types of installation 'one with custom recovery and other without custom recovery' . If you have installed other dolby, it may conflict. Don't use this mod for posting anywhere else or no editing. Links are given at the bottom.
***WARNING***1. BACKUP THE 'audio_effects.conf' into your SD card because may be you will need it later if you want to uninstall this mod. There are two paths for it. ( backup those two. )
located in the path /system/etc/'audio_effects.conf'.( this always exists and take a backup of this.)
located in the path /system/vendor/etc/'audio_effects.conf'. ( if this exists take a backup of this too.)
2. DO THIS AT YOUR RISK. ( I am not responsible for any damage ).
REQUIREMENTS1. Rooted android device. ( compulsory/important ).
2. Custom recovery if you have. ( not compulsory/important ).
3. Android tablet ( 4.4.2 or above ).
3. If you don't have custom recovery, then download 'ES file explorer' from playstore open it and given it permission of root with superuser. Steps below.

3. Go to the bottom to the tab 'tools' .
4. In the 'tools' tab, tap on 'Root explorer' and give permission by superuser.
Note :- whatever you paste ( the files of dolby ) , then you have to change that file's or folder's permission, ( only to be done after you paste each file and make each folders ).
Steps below :-
RULES FOR PERMISSION
RULE I :- ( for the files ) keep holding on the file you have pasted and go to 'properties' and tap 'change permission' , now tick all in the first column, in second column only the first to be ticked. Now tap 'OK' ( Note :- these are for the files you create or paste ).
RULE II :- ( for the folder ) same steps as above, now in the first column tick all, second column only the first to be ticked. In the third column all to be ticked. Now tap 'OK'. ( Note :- these are for the folders you create or paste ).
5. Now go to path /system/vendor/app. If that folder doesn't exist, then make a folder rename it to 'app', now change its permission. { Rule II } [ Follow the below step 7( I ) or 7( II ) ]
6. Make folders 'Ds' and 'DsUI', now change these folders permission. { Rule II } [( only if other apps are in each folders / if all the apps are mixed then skip this step )]
7( I ). Paste 'Ds.apk' and 'DsUI.apk' in 'app' and change their permission { Rule I } ( if other apps are mixed. Any doubt means feel free to ask ).
OR
7( II ). Paste 'Ds.apk' { Rule I } in the folder 'Ds' and 'DsUI.apk' { Rule I } in the folder 'DsUI' ( if other apps are in each folder ).[ Any doubt means feel free to ask. ]
[ If you don't understand the 6th and 7th steps. Give me a screen shot of your paths which I have given below, I will have a look at it and will clarify your doubt. ]
( Give screen shot of
/system/app ( give screen shot )
/system/vendor/app ( if exists give screen shot ) )
8. Go to path /system/etc/ and now paste 'audio_effect.conf' ( if already exists take a backup of, now paste the new 'audio_effects.conf' there. If you want me to edit your phones original audio_effects.conf, then upload it and I will add dolby to that for you, so that everything in your audio_effect.conf remains same. ) ( I will just add some lines there and it's still your audio_effect.conf. )
9. Change permission of that { Rule I }.
10. Same path ( /system/etc ) paste the file 'ds1-default.xml' and change its permission { Rule I }.
11. Go to path /system/vendor/lib ( if doesn't exist make a new folder, name it 'lib', now change permission { Rule II } ) and paste the file 'libstagefright_soft_ddpdec.so' and change its permission { Rule I }.

It's a galaxy S2 running miui v5.7.3 (rooted and selinux permissive). Also, can it be combined with viper? I know this is a bit late. But any reply is appreciated. Thanks!
