Make sure that your Micromax Canvas Juice 2 AQ5001 has at least 80% battery.
1) Copy the downloaded Framaroot app to your Micromax Canvas Juice 2 AQ5001's external or internal memory(hardly matters).

3) Launch it.
4) Select "Install Super Su".

I tried framaroot the first time I tried, but it didn't work...
But then a week ago I rooted using kingroot.apk 4.0....

I have tried towelroot, framaroot, kingroot, iroot or vroot. Almost every other possible method to root phones but it didn't work.
Please suggest some other method to root micromax juice 2. Also, it would be awesome if someone develops a custom Color OS for juice 2.

brother just download kingroot 4.0 apk from google, that will root your juice 2, remember only 4.0 version can do that root

first DISABLE all waste apps that come preinstalled with micromax like
1. DR. safety ( this must be disabled , as it not let kingroot work nicely)
2. app center
3.M.games
4. Mlive
5. Mad
and optional apps like , play books, movies and tv, newsstand, reverie phonebook,docs, sheets, slides,
this will not let your phone getting warm
second, have a wifi or good INTERNET Connection on your phone.

and then select root there
it will take time , but not restart your phone , if your phone restarts try again
and it also show warning in between , just proceed anyway

My Micromax Juice 2 is finally rooted.!! Thank you so much bro. With ally these apps I also disabled me anti virus (apps daily) and I tried to root again. It didn't restart this time and root was successful!!

dear that link in post is perfectly working or you can copy and paste that link in browser and first disbale thode apps then root and try one or more times, if phone restarts try again. it will not restart till 100 means your phone get rooted.

am just trying to get any custom recovery that work with our micromax canvas juice 2, just i want to know what is the size limit of recovery that we can use in our phone it may be less then 6mb , and if it is more then we can have philz touch or twrp recovery to work nicely in our phone , lets see what we can get
its great help if anybody of the developers and mates help us here for recovery of our devices, i tried mtk droid tool , but this device not detecting in that mtk droid tool , all other devices are working fine , but this is not detecting

Kinguser spies on you and cannot be replaced. The only way is to buy Super Sume app from playstore (and that may not work entirely)

Maybe by creating a CWM for Micromax Juice 2 would help replacing Kinguser with SUperSU? What say?
Hmm it is possible make an update zip file with super su named as the name of default root app you have and flash that using cwm will work 100%

I got the above linked drivers from a russian website.
The links for SuperOneClick v2.3.1 given in the '.txt' file are mirrored links.
I followed these steps and successfully rooted my phone and didn't face any problem, till now.

To remove stock apps like spice gagng, naukri, first you should root your phone. then install Titanium Backup (PM me to get link for latest version).....u can remove those apps using titanium backup.......if u need, i can explain little more on how to remove those apps using 'Titanium Backup'...........

There are few links (and not apps) that cannot be removed from the regular rooted app removal process. I am also trying to figure out how to remove those links. Will post when I find out, but meanwhile if someone knows how to, it would be great.

rooting gives you access to your OS files with the help of 'SuperUser'........you can read and modify them, you can uninstall unwanted services or stock apps................if you don't want that,you can even unroot your phone..............

Some other guy found this new way I just updated this thread .
Instruction:
1. Download the rooting application. (This app
can root many other devices )
2. Install the app. This is a Chinese app so I will
guide you.
3. Start VROOT and root now!
4. Now we need to install SuperSU from play
store to replace the Chinese root manager called
授权管理 1.0.4.
5. Go to play store and install SuperSU.
6. Start SuperSU and you will be asked for
permission by 授权管理 1.0.4, choose 允许
(means allow). (Should be the right side option.)
7. SuperSU will prompt to install SU binary, go
ahead with OK and it will display successful.
8. Now, freeze 授权管理 1.0.4 in titanium
backup, just in case you need it again.
Note: If you uninstall straight away from app
manager, you need to make sure SuperSU
updated the binary.
9. Re-run SuperSU to make sure everything is
alright. You will be prompt again to install SU
binary, just do what it asked.
10. After that, you are rooted with SuperSU and

i have tried all the version of the framaroot with both option but nothing works. i am using windows 8 64 bit and i have also tried all usb drvier provided by micromax but unable to use as usb device [adb interface]. i am waiting for your custom rom it will be great if you make like suvi rom for canvas.

I think you should mount your system using abd but I don't know how to do it . and also lock the bootloader . Google for it . also there a app for window ultimate android toolbox use this . its on xda. or instal chain fire su . root app and then unroot from it

Sorry But no you can't. there's two ways after root swap and a custom kernal. for swap download the app swapper but, it will decrease the life of your external sd.

Start software download guide:
1. Click “QCOM_MultiDnload_ENU.exe” to open SW download tool.
2. Port Mode: select the COM port which shows in device manager.
3. Software Version: press Software Version button, select the SW
version you want to upgrade, and then click OK button.
4. When you click “OK” button, it will check MD5 value automatically,
when finish checking, it will prompt you to click “Start All” or “Start”
button to upgrade SW version.
5. “Open Device Manager”>> COM & LPT, to get the COM port number
on your PC, and select the concordant one on the home interface of
the tool.
6. After select Software Version, Port Mode and COM port number then
press “Start All” or “Start” button to download software.
7. Upgrade tool will connect handset firstly, then switch to download
mode.
8. And download ROM of handset.
9. Finish upgrading software.
?? Still confused, The software upgrade guide is included with screenshot along with the Software upgrade Tool.
In case after upgrading you find endless searching for service or no service then here is the MT500 MMX NVTool.
What is NV and what is NV Tool ??
NV file is non volatile memory
this file store the memory with out voltage support
when u disconnect the battery , and put it again the time of the cell changed , TIME need continuous voltages
but when u remove the battery set security code not changed .. mean it dont require voltages
in NV such memories are saved which dont require voltages like:
Security Code
Network Code
Profile Setting
Network Calibration
Incoming / Outgoing Call Records
Contacts
In Samsung this file called EEPROM (electronically erasable programmable read only memory)
In Nokia this file called PM (Permanent memory)
In LG its called NVM (non voltile memory)
Again the Guide to Change MMX NV is available with screenshot within the MT500 MMX NVTool.
Try Framaroot by xda member alephzain to root this phone.
1. Enable USB Debugging. Then Download FramaRoot.apk from the above mentioned thread.
2. Install, and open the app.
3. Select Install SuperSU from the drop down menu.
4.Click on Gandalf option.
It should now root the phone and install supersu app. Restart your phone and your phone should be rooted. If the Framaroot crash try it a couple of times it should root your device.
If the app works do not forget to appreciate the the developer of Framaroot.

Follow the instruction given in the OP.. SP tools is for Mtk device this is a Qualcomm device...

its being almost a month since Lava iris 406q have been launched but no one reported this getting rooted
Well from my side i tried following methods but no luck yet
1. framaroot all version
2. king o root
3. unlock root pro
4. eroot
5. rootkit
6. root genius 1.9.3
This contains Snapdragon MSM 8610 mother board and jelly bean 4.3 , every thing is cool with this device except internal memory which is too less and hard to have multiple obb files in it ,so root is mandatory .
If some one comes up with any solution or have rooted then please let every 1 know

I am using the same phone and have successfully rooted it using vroot method.
1) First download and install mobogenie.
2) Connect your phone and wait for while till it downloads and install USB drivers of your phone.
3) Now install vroot and use it too root your device.
4) Enjoy

vroot have been reported as a malware and people have reported it being trying to connect to the web with some suspicious connection , did any one faced that ?
Any rooting app is a malware since most of them contains an exploit!

Cannot Root after OTA
I had successfully rooted LAVA Iris 406q with Kingo Root. But After OTA update released on 13-05-2014 it got un-rooted again.
and none of the method above mentioned is working. Apart from that I also tried Su.zip root method.
SuperSU gives error:
There is no su binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it.
There is a problem.
If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, you need to manually re-root.
consult the relevant forums for your device.
Please help. I am a n00b in Android Rooting.

After update to 4.4 KITKAT there is 90% chance that phone is goin to get unrooted again .....but then i believe 4.4 would be a better platform to use this phone , 4.3 is pretty unstable though we need root for both of them , coz internal memory is just too low to play big games

I have a lava iris 406q and first i had it rooted by using vroot. But,after using a supercharger script and factory resetting my phone im not able to root it again using any of the methods listed to root online. So pls guys i need serious help!!!

You are welcome but never try to unroot under any circumstances. I tried to unroot and now am not able to re-root it :/
Please be very very carefully using something like vroot for rooting your device. It is downloading binaries onto your computer and your device. In the case of vroot it is also collecting information from the device during the rooting process. This is why xda is classifying vroot as a form of malware and not because of the root exploits it contains. I usually close vroot threads, but that wouldn't be fair to the OP in this case, since he didn't start this as a vroot thread. So please, can we keep the vroot support to a minimum and look for another way of rooting this device.
This is a guide on rooting Huawei Y5-II(the version i have is CUN-U29)but it works for all versions
For this you need kingroot apk version 4.9.6(latest) you can get that from apk mirror or googling it
To start this of i don't have my phone right now it is being fixed so i can't send screenshots and stuff
Ok,now for the rooting part you just install kingroot apk(if it didnt work for you before install it again and if you get something saying it denied installation of kingroot just tap the arrow and tap install anyway)open kingroot app then tap on try to root and it should work:fingers-crossed: if it doesnt though there is a solution,go to settings>apps>kingroot>clear data then try again and it should work

Yesterday i tried to port and flash a custom recovery, which i ported myself , all went well but the recovery turned out to be more than 6 MB , so i couldn't flast it via SPFT. Then i tried to flash it via MobileUncle MTK tool , flashing went well but the phone never woke up. So guys if you do own same verson (CUN-U29) than please share stock firlware files with me , ypu can make one using MTK droid tools , please help me
