[APP][ROOT] Servicely - Replacement for Greenify [24 Apr 15] - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Themes and Apps

Servicely ----> Go Check it Out
I am sharing this because some of you on Lollipop may not know of it or were using greenify with xposed. Great news, this app works better, less resource intensive and you have more control.
- Screen off only option
- Custom App hit list
-Custom service hit list
-control service check intervals
- XPOSED NOT NEEDED
"If you're rooted you'll be able to select which services or apps you wanna kill automagically. The app runs a simple service every X seconds (default is 60s) and checks if those services that you've selected are alive. If they are - BOOM - good night. A small detail though, if that service or app is running on the foreground this app won't kill it. It's a small safety measure because you don't want apps that you're using to close on you."

You just install the app, it has root priveledges and it runs every minute by default, killing the app or service that you define so its not running in the background. Use this in tandem with app ops as you can disbale keep awake on all apps of your choosing. It's similar to greenify except you don't need xposed. You have to ensure you have it enabled and to set on boot

does it work with GCM like greenify? can you get notification from hibrenated apps?

I don't know what GCM is, however it's the same concept as greenify, just doesn't require xposed.... Tinker around with the settings you may be able to get notifications

Looks like airpush ( http://www.airpush.com/ ). Install any new apps recently? Have any apps that ask for these permissions:
INTERNET
READ_PHONE_STATE
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
plus optionally these:
VIBRATE
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Of those the boot completed one would stand out the most. One way to try and find out would be to reboot the device and then immediately check what apps are running before doing anything else.

What apps do you have installed? When you find the one doing it post the name of it so everyone can report it as malware
I hacked up a simple app that will search for installed apps using airpush: http://kllrnohj.com/android/FindAirpush.apk
(for those so inclined, the is source here: http://kllrnohj.com/android/FindAirpush.zip )

Ok it's an app called "easy filter call and SMS blocker" which had now been removed from my phone.
It does mean I now need to find a new way to block my mum's calls and texts.

There are tons of call blockers out there, have you tried the root call blocker app? Not sure if it blocks sms as well, but I've heard great things about it. You can always use Handcent or another SMS app and blacklist the numbers you want to block.

[APP] Easily Freeze/Unfreeze Apps

Until we get permaroot/S-OFF... as we all know... the easiest way of getting rid of bloatware is freezing an app through terminal/terminal emulator. This app makes it quite a bit easier by providing an API for freezing and unfreezing apps. Requires temp-root of course, but it works amazing!

You can if you paid for it. This is a not a feature in the free version.
And to reply to the previous poster, yes it is the same as pm disable but easier with a GUI.

Didn't try those app as I simply use 'System Tuner' to uninstall unwanted system apps, and freeze Google Maps which keeps restarting and consuming CPU while I don't need it most of the time!
You can check the app there:
XDA
Android Market
Dev web site
Thank you. Already wrote 50% of code to do it by myself while googling for technical rpoblem found you did it already . (but i will reuse my code for other things )

Since you mentioned it - you are using System Tuner so I believe you possibly use it's backup feature too? Can it replace Titanium functionality? (and thanks for the tip that System Tuner has freezing too - it's interface has so small fonts that it's completely unusable for me without glasses or magnifying one, but at home it will be usable.

When you use "pm disable/enable packagename", you lost the settings...?
I use it too, but when I unfreeze, for example Dropbox, I need to reenter all data in the start session, like first time to use.
Why this happend?

Is there a way to add data delivery option to one of the home screens?

Is there a way to add data delivery onto the menu. I only have the 200 MB plan and I would like to be able to turn it off like I can the wifi, GPS, Bluetooth, and air plane mode menu. I currently have to go to the settings and select battery and data management, then data delivery and unchecked it. I tried to add the shortcut of wigit or shortcut but there was none. Thanks

you can if you use a custom launcher like launcher pro or adw. you can then set short cuts to activities.
I use zd box, they have an widget to enable/disable the apn

I use data enabler widget
I'm using droidwall also, it will help you configure your iptable ^_^ not really a firewall but it will not send out any data if you don't let it ^_^
On my old phone (Aria) I use widgetsoid to toggle my data. It worked great.

Random orange star and green plus sign keep appearing

So everyday I get that orange star our a green plus sign on my phone. I know it has something to do with one app but I just need to know which app it is.

Its an air push advertisement. Check the free app called add on detector from android market as it can tell you what app is responsible.
If you then want to keep the app you can eliminate the ads if rooted using lbe privacy guard to deny it the appropriate permissions.

So this is what the green plus sign looks like and by the way the add-on Detector doesn't really tell me which app is doing it unless I may be overlooking something. Let me know Dave.

In add on detector you need to choose "push notifications" from the selector at top of screen and it will show you apps that can push ads to your phone.
They may also show under the app title with the word "airpush" when selecting "advertising".

Make your ace plus as a rocket :D

Hello guys,
This time I won't asking help but giving help for those who get bored due to laggs, slow ace plus and battery draining.
to make your ace plus in any (ROOTED) rom, you can use some programs which cancel automatic start of some apps at startup or at charging, connectivity or other thing.
These programs are : Startup Manager, Autostarts, App quarantine, Clean Master.
1: Startup Manager :
with this app you can canel many apps you don't use them at the moment starts with device statup
2: App Quarantine :
with this app you can freeze unnecessary app which you don't use any time (freezing app means you can't use it, but if you need it you can unfreeze it from this app also)
(Note) : don't freeze or cancel the startup of a system app to avoid any problems can occur with the 2 above app.
3: Autostarts :
this app is very important and useful because it cancel apps which starts automatically with wifi or charging which make the device very slow at these events
this app shows the events of the device which the apps on your phone starts automatically in them as in the image

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
you can cancel the automatic start of apps espeically at the events : (after startup - connectivity - power connected - power disconnected - locale changed and many more)
4: Clean Master :
with this app you can clean your memory from running app and junk files. This will help also for better performance.
When you feel your device is slow or lagging, check the app manager from (Settings - Applications - Running application) and stop any app you don't need at that moment.
Finally, I attached the 4 apps I mentioned above.
hope all that will help you all
U can also use greenify.... Its best even u dpnt have to put apps into freezing mode... This app just make them to be in hibernating mode... Just gvlive it a try
