How to install 4.4.2 on samsung galaxy S II plus

Can someone tell me how to install that 4.4.2 android to samsung galaxy s2 plus? i need good guide! i have also 4.1.2 android.
Do i need root or something?

of course you need to root your device.... and about 4.4.2 thers no offical firmware for samsung s2 plus only CUSTOM ROM..

Which one rom you prefer? Cm11 ,omnirom or linaro?
And also where is guide to root?

I thought you don't need to root? Just upgrade to official 4.2.2 stock and then flash any 4.4.2 custom rom you want while following the instructions given in the threads where you can download the roms

- First you need to upgrade to 4.2.2
- Now root and install cwm on your device
- Download CM11 and Gapps for KK and reboot to cwm
- install CM11 and Gapps KK
- Wipe data/factory reset/Cache/Dalvik cache
- Reboot!

OTA says you have the latest update and also samsung kies says same.

Mate, you can download official 4.2.2 firmware form here. It's not important for which country the ROM is made. Languages are the same in every one of them.
Odin is a small tool for flashing an OFFICIAL firmware and it's super easy. If you have problems with it, you can contact me on Private Message.
After you flash 4.2.2 your device may not be rooted, and you have to root it again to install the custom CM 11 ROM.
I am using Resurection Remix ROM 4.4 Kitkat and I'm happy with it at the moment. But when #build 6 of CM11 (unofficial of course) is released, for sure I'm gonna try it!

Do you mean that you installed a custom ROM?

I have searched everywhere for my phone's topic but there is nothing on xda about , i had galaxy y before and with xda i done a lot of modification on it and i also wanna do something with my this phone , so pls give me a fast kernel tht saves battery life on my device and tell me how to install it . There is no custom ROM or custom kernel available for s7582 as of now.
But you can do a bit modifications using xposed framework. (If you have root access)

Lollipop Extreme ROM is based on 4.2.2. Was your phone updated to 4.2.2 before you installed this ROM.
However, as instructed by the developer, you must be using the CWM recovery to flash this ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2658817
Flash the CWM recovery using the link above and try flashing the ROM again.

just a couple of weeks before i flashed lineage os 14.1 which is based on android nougat 7.1.1, it is the best rom i have tested for this mobile. you can go on this link and follow the instructions there for flashing custom rom and recovery.

Hello everyone ! Its 2018, 4 years since the forum was created and within these years there have been a lot of modifications and advancement on this device.
If no_name does not take on this device anymore, I will take on it for Android Development !
Only I need a time of a few months for personal issues.
In the meantime, I request enthusiast developers with this device to come up and test Lineage OS 15 on this device and post about their results in the forum.

Ok, link is working now (in my office PC), but unfortunately it's not compatible with LP 5.1.1

I think only action memo works...and probably the apk took some preventive measures from it being ran below 6.0.1 touchwhiz...thats why the name of it is "New SNote apk"...
