[Q] No OS||Stuck at bootloop

So i decided to install the CM 12 on my MotoG.I downloaded the files and followed the instructions.I wiped cache, dalvik, data and did Format System but the installation failed. So I reboot my phone only to see that it was stuck at a bootloop.I get back to TWRP and I see that there was no OS installed.I decided then to flash 4.4.4 which worked, but after rebooting i was in a bootloop with no OS once again.I installed PhilZ Touch to see what's wrong. It says that I can't mount the system and the sdcard.I've tried Sideloading, adb pushing but everything fails...Is there anything i can do?Help is much appreciated
Have you tried to flash a stock ROM via fastboot commands?
Yes nothing happened..still stuck at bootloop...

which stock rom did you try to flash using fastboot?
if it's the stock 4.4.4 it's probably going to fail, you need certain things to do (you can search around here) if you're using xt1033, you can search for (xt1033 stock) there's a guide that will get you up and going. On my moto g that has flashed stock 5.0.2 and cm12, i found out that i can't use the normal method to flash the stock 4.4.4 rom, rather i was forced to flash the 5.0.2 rom, since the fastboot command fails at almost everything, which would leave the phone unusable
oh yeah, here's the guideRESTORE TO STOCK
Nevermind.I formatted the data and it let me adb push the stock 4.4.4
ROM

Is This Bad

Tried to update to android l and forgot about twrp. My phone no boots into twrp and then into Android 4.4.4 Normally. After about 2 or 3 mins it boots back into recovery:crying:
What do I Do? XT1032, UK
Download the stock 4.4.4 ROM for your phone and manually flash each partition using fastboot or mfastboot commands.
Wouldnt it be easier to install stock recovery? If i am wrong... Please add my skype: samtenny
Try and flash stock recovery first. If that doesn't work, you may have to do a full wipe to get it to boot. If a full wipe doesn't work, try flashing a stock ROM.
I first suggested flashing a stock ROM because I prefer to use a solution that is most likely to work. I keep a back up of all my phone data so I don't care about losing any thing.

Can't Access TWRP Recovery

Hi guys, I flashed the latest factory image, then flashed the latest TWRP but can access it 1 out of 10 tries.. What am I doing wrong? Is it a faulty replacement phone? Never had this issue with my other nexus 5 (same recovery file but lollipop and not marshmallow) and now I have this problem.. Tried to riflashato the factory image 5 times, boot to recovery without installing but nothing changed.. Thanks in advance!
If you just just flashed TWRP, then booted into Android, then reboot into recovery.. Android will overwrite TWRP with the stock recovery.

This is not really a fix, since to use Flashify one needs to be rooted already.
What I did to work around this was reflash LMY48M. After reflashing that, fastboot correctly boots/flashes twrp.
I've read that the issue arises when trying to boot and/or flash twrp with MRA56K installed, AND the device is connected to USB.
Ok, i got some of problems here, i tryied to root my Nexus 5 with other Android 6 version, it was the first one launched after development version. Now i have MRA58K version.
Problem 1 : I have no stock recovery, i first rooted original version of Marshmallow with CWM and i soft bricked, so no backup, no factory images. Installed MRA58K and there is no stock recovery, thanks god i can use bootloader. I can install TWRP, but i want to install the old recovery, Tell me how to do it.
Problem 2: Actual version of Marshmallow ask me to install a patch, but when installing i got stuck in TWRP, it cant install it (yes, android was rooted, but i installed twrp before root, and the update were before it.)
Thanks.
You can flash a stock ROM using the flash-all file in a command prompt. This will install stock ROM with stock recovery. Make sure the phone has an unlocked bootloader and you should be fine.
Official OTA updates cannot be installed with a custom recovery.
I tryied 3 times to install OS with flash-all. All the problems start after i installed CWM and try to root the phone, but after that, i used a stock rom image that was different build than actually one.
I`m not sure yet who`s fault is.
Any ideas?
I don't recommend using CWM, only TWRP.
After you flash TWRP always boot into it, and since you're flashing a custom recovery I'm going to assume you don't care about OTA's, swipe to allow system to be mounted. TWRP will automatically patch the system to survive android trying to overwrite it. Reboot into TWRP a second time to be safe. TWRP should stick from now on until you flash over it or restore stock system partition.
Yes, now i have TWRP as recovery, but i want to replace it with stock recovery.
Problem is, when i upload stock recovery and try to boot in recovery mode, i got the green dead android with red triangle.
But after TWRP uploading and booting in recovery mode, TWRP is there..
I really don`t know what`s wrong.
Flash stock recovery, select recovery from the fastboot menu, hold the power button and press volume up button.

Can't install any custom rom!

First of all, sorry for my bad english!
Well, I started to look for some good custom roms for my galaxy s6. I was using the xtrestolite deodexed 2.4, and then I changed to Arrow Rom. Then, the developers of xtrestolite updated their rom to android 6.0
But now, idk why, when I try to flash any rom with twrp, I get no errors, but the phone doesn't boot up. Only with I install the stock rom with odin. I tried updating the modem to a android 6.0 version (the xtrestolite thread told me to do so), i dont know with this can help, I'm kinda new in this custom rom things.
So, summarizing, I can flash custom roms with twrp without errors, but the system get stuck at the logo, sometimes without the red alert (recovery not SEandroid enforcing). And then, at this point, I can only shut it down and go to twrp or download mode.
you need to follow the recommend steps exactly. upgrade both bootloader and modem for your device. Then do a date factory reset before flashing the rom.
these steps will install the proper files to avoid boot loops. the reset will make sure there are no strays files left.
The thread says to install the bootloader and modem for android 6.0, then install twrp, and then do a factory reset to flash the rom. But how do I flash the modem and bootloader? I know I have to flash the boot loader under the BL button on odin, and the modem under the CP button. But when I flash them, my phone automatically start to boot loop. And at this point, I can't enter twrp anymore, just download mode. I'm using currently the stock 5.1.1 rom for galaxy s6 (g920i) rooted with a custom kernel (unikernel v2 0008), and with the twrp recovery 3.0.0.1 . What are the steps to flash the custom rom? And why I need to flash boot loader and modem for this rom? I never had to do this to any other custom rom!
once you have flashed the bootloader and modem, you need to reflash twrp. as new bootloader and modem have broken the connectionfactory reset
After resestablishing twrp, boot into twrp and do a factory reset. Then install the ROM
The reason you need to do all this because 6.0.1 has been given a major redesign including touchwiz. The previous roms you have flashed only has been upgraded from 5.0.2.
Ok, so can I put them all together in odin, (bootloader in
BL, twrp in AP, and modem in CP), and then flash it? Or I have to flash them separately and uncheck the auto restart in odin? Because when I flash just the bootloader, it get boot loop when restarting.
Ok, once I flash just the boot loader via odin, and my phone restarts, I get stuck at the logo, not even a boot loop. Then, if I shut it down, i can't enter twrp, only download mode. Even if I flash TWRP again, I can't manage to enter it. So, at this point, I always have to flash the stock g920i rom with android 5.1.1, to turn it back on, and then flash TWRP.
Does someone know how to proceed?
you need to flash boot loader and modem together. make sure your phone is fully charged.
then flash twrp, then boot into recovery without starting the phone.
do a factory rest without flashing the rom. flashing bootloader modem and twrp should not be causing a bootloop.
then start the phone let it settle down and see if the 5.1.1. rom works with the upgraded bootloader, modem and twrp.
load the rom onto your hard drive, then reboot into twrp and install the rom.
try this the first time as a dirty install, if that does not work. I suggest you do a full erase and start from the very begining.
Thanks! I'll try this.. I'm kinda busy this week so I'll do it in the mext weekend! I tell you if I made it work the soon as possible.. thx for replying!
Sorry for taking so long to answer this post!
I want to ask you, if I flash the stock marshmallow rom in my galaxy s6 g920i, can I flash the XtreStoLite marshmallow rom, without flashing the bootloader and modem? Or I have to flash the marshmallow bootloader and modem for the custom rom anyways? Sorry for bad english
Ok so, I flashed the stock g920i marshmallow rom, and my modem and bootloader are EPC6 and EPC3. In the topic of the deodexed XtreStoLite custom rom, it says to download and flash the modem and bootloader for marshmallow 6.0.1, but I'm already running this version. BUT I have the EPC6 bootloader and in the topic, I can download the EPC7. Is it there any difference? Or can I flash the custom rom without flashing this EPC7 bootloader?
And, btw sorry for being such a noob, but can you explain me what are the bootloader and modem functions?
Thx for all!!

Corrupted recovery Mi4i

Currently my mi4i is rooted with TWRP recovery.
I want to install OTA updates and for that i need my stock recovery.
I have tried following three ways to get back stock recovery but none of them work for me
Flashed stock recovery through Flashify app. Flash was successful but reboot to recovery stucks at fastboot screen.
Flashed stock recovery through adb but again after successful flash, device stucks at fastboot screen.
Finally i tried to install stock recovery in twrp itself but it returned following error:
could not find 'meta-inf/com/google/android/update-binary' in the zip file
Can anyone guide what am I doing wrong and what should be done? Any help is appreciated.
Bro, thing is mi recovery.img has many problems. It doesn't work like that. Only thing u can do is flash via fastboot.

I will flash via fastboot. Only issue I have is that this manual process has to be repeated everytime i want to install updates. This is why I was trying to get my stock recovery back. Though it seems like there isn't much that can be done regarding this.
