[Q] [HELP] installed d802 rom on d800 - AT&T LG G2

Hello Xda Members.
First of all thank you for all of your support and guides that makes me some kind of Developer...
I have installed d802 Rom version 20c on att d800 and it is working fine, I mean really fine not a single problem at all.
My question is can i also install twrp or other custom recovery made for d802 or should i stick to d800 twrp which is already installed.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

First of all 20y is d800s rom not d802.

Why the hell are you talking about 20c or 20y? i did good research and found that 20c is for d802 and 20y is for d800. only reply if you have an answer of my question. otherwise do not, and i am damn sure you have no answer to post.

20c and 20y are for AT&T D800 version. Whatever you have flashed, go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-g2/help/lg-g2-d800-fota-upgrade-files-lollipop-t3112378 and flash the proper stuff on it.

It's the same procedure as the one for the G2. Follow this guide and make sure your pc is not connected to the internet and deactivate the antivirus while you flash the phone.

[Q] is this official lollipop update?

Hello on turning my phone on this morning I am prompted with this (screenshot below) and I'm skeptical about installing it as I love 4.4.2 if I install and do not like can I come back to 4.4.2? Is this lollipop?
Yes that is a Lollipop update. The clue is at V20C.
I'm assuming yours is D838? From which country?
Are you using some mods for the data speed and temperature on notification bar?
Don't worry, you will still be able go back to 4.4.2 by using the KDZ or TOT method

Yes D838 TWN model there is a screenshot if you need anymore info, and yes network speed indicator, CPU temperatur and CPU voltage in the top left as I like seeing what's happening at any given moment, the phone is stock rooted and the mods are through exposed, if I update to lollipop will I loose root? And also my mods? I would like to update but I would really dis-like not having root or my mods as they make my phone just how I like it would feel very bare without them.

Thank you I've just had a read and should be fine returning to 4.4.2 if I'm unhappy.
Yes this is what I suspected I hoped I would be able to gain root but I did assume exposed would not work thank you anyway for your helpfulnes! I will install later on and give opinion on how it feels and runs, I will miss root and exposed.

You may get root on Lollipop by flashing zip files (rom and SuperSU) from 4.4 recovery, more information at: http://lgviet.com/forum/threads/rom-d83820c_twn_pure.37488/ . I did this way and got root on my D838 Lollipop device

D850PR rom on D850 phone

Greetings,
This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/att-firmware-d-850pr-t2885095 explains the process to flash a D850 rom on a D850PR phone (D850PR is the G3 variant for Puerto Rico).
Is possible to do the reverse process (flash a D850PR rom on a D850 smartphone)? And, if yes, how?
Thanks in advance.

The AT&T D850 is TOT method only that's why there's no kdz at all. Only official lollipop you can get is to insert an AT&T sim.

You cannot update it with a tot file. As there's only KitKat. Your only way is to have an AT&T sim or root / custom rom. Or it might be possible to root and load the update file. Never done the img update file before but if it can be done it would be in the general section.

But is this a custom rom or stock rom?
How to install twrp recovery?
Even in future if any updates were released then i need to install either with sim card or flashing custom roms for my at&t model?
if you're going to go through the effort of rooting your phone you might as well install twrp which instructions you can find on these forums or even on twrp website I believe. the link clearly states that it is a stock rom. furthermore the guy was even nice enough to include his own instructions! what more could you ask for.
a little reading goes a long way. personally, I would vote to stick with a stock rom like the one linked above as it will be most stable and support all the features of the phone out of the box.
once a 6.0 rom is released for the d850 it will be real easy for you to wipe and flash that to upgrade again.

Need help downgrading.

Hello. I'm kinda a noob (i admit).
I'm going to root my G5 and by reading the threads i figured out that i have to downgrade to 20a in order to root my phone ( im running on 20c currently).
Do i have to downgrade? If yes, how?
I know i have to use "LG Up" but i couldn't find a good place for downloading the 20a flashable zip.
Thanks.

Yes, you must downgrade to 20A to root and install TWRP.
Here's the link for 20A:

Download the 20A kdz from that link and install using LG UP. Once you're running 20A, use the following link to install TWRP and root:
