I also had the same issue with framaroot. I couldn't root my phone before with it (had the same build: A850_S203_140208_SWTHK-A). But I tried kingoapp root method. It works. Hm.. Don't know if should recommend it cause I saw someone said something about it has malware or something the like. Apparently they also said that there's a thread here in xda about it (didn't look into it though). But anyways, haven't encountered any issues with kingoapp root method.
I'm just a rookie

I use KingRoot, download from kingroot.net directly from the phone's browser.

Thanks, but unfortunately neither Framaroot nor any option using bin4ry's root seems to work on the A1-830.
=)
It was not actually a root, sorry for the confusion. It only claims the device is rooted, but actually not.

I found it a few days ago. I am a new member so I am banned from putting up outside links, but you can find the link via this tweet on 18 Jun 2014. All thank goes to SRS Root. Enjoy~

Thanks for the info. I just tried it on my a1-830 that has the newest firmware, and none of the srs rooting methods worked. But the newest firmware isn't in their listed of tested devices. Their list includes build number 1.011.00, but the most recent firmware is 1.014.00. I hope they're able to get it working on the newest version.

It didn't actually work on 1.011.00 either. I would expect to see a new tweet announcing 1.014.00 and for it to not work also.
Solved
try this

Then it means Framaroot has NOT rooted your phone. Most of the mobile apps that claim to root a phone don't work mostly.
Best way of rooting is flashing custom recovery and installing SuperSu (google it if you don't understand )

Sorry, I didn't find any By the way, you can add tweaks to your phone like custom ROMs have if you're rooted.

The list there is very outdated.... I've rooted a lot devices that weren't on that list. Just give it a try it won't bite.

First you should install a custom recovery and do a backup.
Download TWRP
There's a custom rom for your device but it sounded complicated....
Download Xposed framework if you wanna customize your device!
