I switched to a Galaxy S6 recently from a Galaxy S4. Both on the same network, Verizon.
On the S4 I can send and receive MMS and use my 4G just fine. On the S6 it's not allowing me to do this.
Is there a way to fix this?
Enable VoLTE. It will allow similtaneous call and data while connected to lte.

Voice over LTE has been activated. Will test tomorrow.
Also how can I disable the "Can't use flash while on low battery" for the camera application? Is that its trying to save battery or that there isn't enough voltage? My old phone could use the flash when ever...

Just Verizon trying to force people to the VoLTE by taking away some functionality.

You should be able to. I don't think it's a software limitation with the non 3g version, it's just hardware. So with the hardware present it should work.
Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
Thanks for confirming that, any sources/links that i can look at? Im in the UK so the esim will not be of any use to me atm but if i can pair it to my phone and make and recieve calls that way that'd be great.
Ye i want speak with my gear s2 but with my phone number

Yes you should be fine with the 3g version, but the non-3g version doesn't have a speaker so you need bluetooth headset for calls with that model.
Yes , i know but if i can talk with 3g versiĆ³n prolly i import it ( i live in spain)
Hello,
I bought Galaxy S6 G920F 6 months ago, was using t mobile everything was working well.
Few months ago I noticed Im unable to receive/make phone calls. Went to T-mobile and apparently they upgraded their antennas and removed some of the bands they used to support.
The only way i can make calls is if i move to 2G, when im on 4G i cannot make/receive calls in some areas (like my neighborhood).
Did anyone else encounter it in NY and is there something I can do besides buying a new phone?
Thanks!
I Can't do video calls with my friends, they have a s7 edge and s8 on T-Mobile network.
My other friend has at&t like me and a note 8 and I can do video calls.
Question is What's going on?

Doesn't work between carriers.

Current Video Call restrictions
At this time Video Call is only available between AT&T customers using Video Call capable devices within AT&T HD Voice coverage areas.

That sucks. Is it going to work later on?

That depends on whether all the carriers can agree on what version of the RCS protocol to use.
AT&T is still using a pre-universal profile version of the RCS protocol.
AT&T is backing the newer universal profile version of RCS, but hasn't implemented it yet.
It would explain why they restrict their current version (Advanced Messaging and Video Call) to only work within their own network.
Does the quality of AT&T video call match that of Google duo, hangouts, Facebook, or skype?

Never been able to use it, so I can't say.
Requires two AT&T customers with video capable phones (iPhones don't work as they don't support RCS at all).
My wife and daughter have iPhones, so we use Duo, which works great.
Not a fan of Skype and Facebook (which uses Skype on the back end). Crappy video compression when using cellular data.

i personally think that video on AT&T have better quality then Facebook, Skype or Hangouts. I did not try Google Duo.
Will rooting my phone allow video calls to other networks?
Just use Duo way better than stock video call app

No.
Each carrier controls those services.
Stick with an app. I happen like Duo. Works great over mobile.

Thing is I'm in Ghana atm. I'm on a plan where I can get free calls to other users over normal calls and same with video call without internet. Saves me data. Tried duo but horrible internet network doesn't help. Video calling Works fine with my note 3 but note 8 doesn't work. That's why I'm wondering if there's a way around this and if not can rooting solve the video calling feature?
Being Ghanian myself, i would say use What'sApp.
