Can somebody please help me find a way to install kit kat or lollipop on idol 2, we're still on jellybean... Alcatel promised kitkat.... a year ago.

Does anyone know how i can root my alcatel onetouch idol X+ (Idol X Plus). This is not the Alcatel Onetouch Idol X. This is the X+ or the X Plus.
I just bought this phone 3 days ago and i know ABSOLUTEELY NOTHING about rooting.
So, if anyone knows how to do it, please give me a full detailed guide.
P.S.: can i use the cyanogen mod? i hear its something good.

Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately due to your device being a low-popularity device there's no dedicated section for it here on XDA, which also means there's no documented successful root method for it either. So it's going to be trial and error, here's a helpful section:

Hello, so I own a Alcatel One Touch Fierce 2 (MetroPCS). I was wondering. I have the phone rooted, but I cannot find a custom recovery of a custom ROM to install Lollipop with. I really want Lollipop and I'm sure others here agree.

I got tmobiles free the ALCATEL ONETOUCH Pixi 7.I know thats its only 8gb but half of it is taken up buy the rom at the bloat ware and what evet. So , i want to root it so I can get the stock adroid on it. So it does not have all the extra stuff. It runs andoird 5.0.2
I also want to be able to still want to use 4g lte

Hey guys! I'm looking for a kitkat firmware for Alcatel OT idol 2 mini 6016x. I have read A LOT of forums but still cannot find one. I am currently using 4.3JB but in GSMarena it says that its upgradeable to kitkat 4.4. If anyone has one/can make one I will (and not only me) really appreciate it. Best wishes!
