[Completed] [Q] Extracting ROM directly from any Android Devices - XDA Assist

Hi guys! I'm a proud owner of a Cherry Mobile Fusion Wave Tablet that I don't freakin' know the OEM. I was wondering on how I can extract the ROM straight from the device itself?
I've already tried the romdump_v82b.zip method and it gave me an error about the emmc.
I can't do an SPFT Extraction because this tablet is having the Samsung Exynos 4412 SoC (The reason I got the tablet)
Any help is appreciated!!!

Hi there
There are many guides and tutorials here for developing roms:
> Chef Central > Android
After lots of reading, if you still have questions, ask in the thread of the guide you are using, or start your own thread and ask for help.

[Completed] [Q] Allwinner kitchen

Hi there.
I want to port a kitkat based rom to my device. My device is a Genesis Gt-1440, A31 Allwinner board. I have the original rom with jelly bean and a similar one from device Colorfly e708 Q1 (kitkat).
This similar rom can boot my device, I flashed it using PhoenixSuit but the screen is screwed (different resolution and touchscreen doesn't work).
I tried to use the kitchen method to make a port, but it gives me an error. I found out that this error its because of the A31 board and the IMG file. So I've been looking for the Alwinner A31 kitchen tool made by Xlab, but every link is down... This tool was hosted on Github but not anymore. Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance.
Hello. A quick search came up with the links below. Best of luck.
[GUIDE]How To Port Different ROMS to Your Device (Simplest and Fastest)
Chef Central Android
I already tried those methods! None of them can extract the .IMG file of the base or the port ROM. They give me the same error as that kitchen method. They are not appropriate for the A31 allwinner roms... That's why I've been searching for the Alwinner kitchen. Without this I can't extract the .IMG and acess all necessary files. I really apreciate your help, but let's hope anybody else just had this problem before.

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. A quick search uncovered a great thread detailing how to root this phone:
[How-To] BLU Studio 5.0 C (D536U) – Rooting, Recovery Install, Flash Latest Stock Rom
That thread also contains a link to the latest stock firmware for your device. For future reference you can find the specific device forum for this phone here:

firmware
i tried the link for the factory rom and it was a dead link said file was no longer there for download. to be honest since there is alot involved in flashing the phone with the most current firmware available i am going to just pass and just keep what the phone currently has firmware wise. i do not want to by mistake brick the phone. all i really want to do is have on hand a copy of the most current firmware for my phone so in the event i need to re-flash it i can. i have tried seeking the firmware file for the phone but keep hitting dead links. thank you for your time. if u do have a live link so i can download a up to date firmware for the phone i could use that. thank you

[Completed] Help, network files for an android device

Hi.
I really don't know what else to do, if some developer or simply a person with the necessary knowledge i'm sure he (or she) can do it in about 10 minutes, so please please help.
i have a ZTE Nubia Z5 Mini (model NX402) from Venezuela, it came with android 4.2.2 but it lacks a lot of features and it's not well optimized for the hardare it have (similar to Google Nexus 4).
The thing is, when i change the ROM, i end up without signal, no matter the ROM, some user manage it to port the Nubia UI 4.4.2 but it still not well optimized, but his ROM does get signal; he even said in a thread from HTCMania that if any user of this device ends up without signal, just install his ROM and then our signal will be back so, i just need some user with experience to download the rom, extract the network files and made a flashable zip so when i install another ROM like MIUI or Cyanogenmod, i could flash that zip to get signal back.
I don't know if it's hard to do or something but if someone could just give it a shot i'll really appreciate it.
The file containing the network files is https://mega.co.nz/#!6kQnjS4a!1zMwPdstmzEWbwTEvhnYOTmsgSTpNqtvQrU2a6rd81Y
If some other information is needed, here is the original thread http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=933478

[Completed] Install CyanogenMod in lenovo A3500-HV

I own a Lenovo A3500 -HV. I have been using it for an year now and it is running KitKat(4.4.2). There is no sign of a newer OS coming to this tab so I have decided to install a new ROM. I decided to go with CynanogenMod but the problem is my device is not listed in the supported devices directory.
I think my device has the minimum requirements to run the OS.
I would like to know if it will be better to install the CyanogenMod or just leave it with kitkat or maybe install some other mods that my tab can support?

[Completed] Need Help - Tablet PC (Ainol Numy 3G P97) System Flash and Installation of Custom ROM

Hi.
I've got a reasonably unknown Tablet PC.. Here are the specs and miscellaneous information;
Name: Ainol Numy 3G P97
Internal Memory: 16GB
RAM: 1GB
GPU: Mali-400 MP
SoC: MediaTek MT8382 ARM Cortex A7 @ 1.3Ghz (Quad Core)
OS: Android Jellybean 4.2.2 (I'm pretty sure it's a Custom ROM)
Kernel Version: 3.4.5
Build Number: Numy_3G_P97_V1_2014090215
Custom Build Version: 1.19_20140822
Root Access: No (I never tried to root the device, never had a reason to do so)
I've been searching around for ways to upgrade the OS from Jellybean to Lollipop or higher. I've searched extensively within XDA Developers' various forums, but there doesn't seem to be any post in relation with my device.
I took to the internet and found some websites offering Flash Tools, Firmware (nothing above KitKat, or so it seems) and Android Studio. I've tried (in vain) to go through some tutorials on YouTube, but haven't come across anyone who's done anything with this particular device.
However, I have a rough idea rattling around in my head of what needs to be done, but I just need guidance from the Developers here to tell me how to get about doing it.
I have the following software downloaded;
1. MediaTek USB Drivers and Flash tools
2. SP Flash Tool v5.1620
3. Official Android Jellybean 4.2.2 System Image for the device
4. Android Lollipop 5.0 System Image (the site I downloaded it from says the Firmware is for a different tablet pc, but with the same specs as my device)
5. Android Studio (latest version, direct download from Google) - I read in some sites that Android Studio would help a lot to install a Custom ROM into any Android device, hence the download.
I'd greatly appreciate anyone helping me out in this endeavor. I'd like to install Lollipop (at least) on my Tablet PC, in order to gain some functionality as well as improved performance (hopefully!), as the current Jellybean OS is terribly laggy. I've seen other Tablet PC's with lesser specs running Lollipop smoothly, so I'm hopeful that there might be a silver lining to an otherwise very dark and sinister looking thunderstorm.
Thanks!

As there isn't a dedicated forum for your device here, the best place for your query is in:

You can hopefully find some support there.
