Hi, since yesterday I've been starting to have this issue. The pictures in official Samsung Gallery app do not rotate. In the rest of official apps the rotation works and also in other gallery apps. I have unlocked SM-G920I phone. Anyone else with same problem. I guess it has to be some software issue

I've only seen that if you quick launch into the camera from a locked phone. If you unlock your phone 1st, then go into the gallery, it does not display that behavior (if I remember correctly)

Thanks! I will check that. I'm currently using it
I got that today but no nova launcher
Don't know where you guys are from but I've been hacking around Samsung devices since the Galaxy Note came out. My discovery and conclusion was that here Australian Samsung firmware has the stupid gallery app NOT Auto rotate. I've installed non Australian firmware on Note, S3 S4 etc and they all auto rotated ok. Nothing to do with Nova Launcher.
Gallery rotation fix
Ok guys I have found a workaround that led to a fix.
I had the same problem this morning sudden loss of rotation in just the Gallery app.
It is definitely a software conflict of some type and can be fixed by doing the following.
First download Adaptive Rotation lock, I got the paid version, but the free works ok.
Install on phone and set rotation in the app to force auto it's is the only one that works initially. Go to the gallery and rotation works. I was going to leave it at that until Samsung issued a gallery update or I swapped the APK.
I played around with the gallery and camera app for a while, cleared back grounding apps and used smart manager to clean up. I went back into the adaptive Rotation lock app hit disable at the bottom, and now the gallery app is back to normal without the app running.
Hope it has the same effect for you guys if not use the rotation app until a software patch is issued.
I have the same problem on my s6.
I am rooted and using nova beta.
The adaptive rotate app works but I don't want to have it running all the time... I hope a fix comes out eventually

same problem here.
no root.
no nova launcher.
when I access the gallery app directly, photos won't rotate.
but - when I access the gallery app through the camera app - auto rotation works.
weird, isn't it?
The fix I applied was super simple.
Previously, gallery did not rotate when launched from a folder on the nova home screen.
When I moved the shortcut out of a folder, to occupy just one spot on my home screen, it started to rotate.
Also, launching gallery from the app drawer always was able to rotate as well

man, I owe you a beer!
launched the gallery app from the app tray - worked!
scrapped the homescreen shortcut, made a new one - works just fine
For Nova launcher: go to nova launcher menu > look and feel > screen rotation and select auto rotate.
Gallery app now rotate correctly from folder.

OMG! I'm OCD with stuff like this and have been scouring the web for help as it just didn't make any sense. Thanks so much for finding this out. As soon as I removed my shortcut and re added it, it worked. I also quick tested and seen that it worked in app drawer. Did you submit this issue to Nova Launcher dev?
EDIT: I just quoted your fix and this issue on Nova's beta Google+ page. Thanks again!
Chris
I tried this before reading your reply and got the pix in gallery to rotate as well. Thanks for your comment though.

Ok, not nova launcher but Apex Launcher with auto rotation off (inside apex launcher settigs), same issue. If apex launcher auto rotation on, then it works, but you can still set launcher auto rotation just changing the shortcut for a new one.
So, just deletting gallery shortcut from homescreen and creating a new one will work auto rotate on gallery again.
Thanks all!
I'm having this same issue on my galaxy s7 edge.
My phone is not rooted
I do run nova launcher.
I noticed the issue happened after I downloaded package disabler. After I disabled a bunch of apps only gallery would not rotate.
I did an batch re-enable and gallery rotated again. At this point I went through disabling each application individually, testing gallery after each application until I got to s-voice.
When I disabled s-voice GALLERY WOULD NOT ROTATE. Just to be sure I disabled/re-enabled gallery 3 times and tested it each time with s voice disabled gallery would not rotate, with s voice enabled gallery WOULD rotate.
No idea how or why s voice would effect gallery but it does, at least in my setup. Anyways I hope this helps someone
easy solution
you just need to delete the Gallery's (system app data) in the SETTINGS/installed app manager
I can confirm that deleting the Gallery app shortcut and replacing it works. I also have Nova Launcher installed.

I realized I was using a nova launcher imported icon for my gallery from my note 2 (have note 5 now). I deleted it and used the updated gallery icon from the app drawer and it solved the auto rotate issue with the gallery. EASY.

The bookmarks widget looks fantastic the larger use make it, you just get more on the screen.
Totally awesome IMO well worth the money.

1.3 and above is what you're looking for. Previous versions doesn't have support for high density screens so the 5 icon dock will be squished in the center, 1.3 addresses this.
I've tryed all the transition animations and *curve* is the best non lag one out of the bunch. No matter how many widgets it just wont slow the butter smooth scrolling.

Big pro's for me:
supports scrollable widgets
supports resizable widgets
Adjustable collumns and rows, currently running 9 x 7
more screens currently have 6
It scrolls fantastic, 100 times better than stock
3D transition affects
If the icon at the top left is bugging you? ask the developer! contacted them about various issues over the months and they always reply.
i installed adw ex 1.3.2 but cannot set it as default launcher. After installation when i hit the home icon there is no popup to let me choose launcher seems like it is not registered as a launcher..... i am not rooted......firmware is .13..... do i need to root to replace the stock launcher?

I assume you just go to settings > manage applications, then find launcher and press clear defaults, then press home and it should ask you.

Don't think its possible to just get rid of it. It looks like honeycomb places the app icon on the corner for some apps. The only way I can think of is to unpack the apk, put in a transparent icon, or change how it looks. Either way you do it though will reflect in the drawer also. Since this is a launcher though and it auto launches it might not matter that it will be an invisible icon. If it bothered me enough then I could just hide the app i guess.

[Q] ADW EX - Wallpaper shifting
Does anyone know how to stop the wallpaper from shifting? It seems to happen after turning off the screen or coming out of an app. It's driving me up the wall. I even downloaded some 2560x1600 wallpapers that people suggested to use and it still happens.
And on a side note selecting the option for the wallpaper to scroll doesn't do anything (in ADWsettings).
I love the ability to resize widgets but this wallpaper problem is making me go crazy

Not sure if that's related but when I installed GoLauncher my wallpaper also shifted. Even after uninstall and reboot it was still messed up. I had to select a different wallpaper and then select the old one again; then it was fixed. It seems that the 3rd party launcher don't work well with HC yet.
i found that if i turn off locking the screen orientation (i rarely ever use portrait mode) and changing the orientation the background resets itself. but it is still rather annoying having to tilt it portrait and tilt it back.
no one else has this problem?
The same thing happened to me when I tried to use "Wallpaper Wizardrii"...until I uninstalled, then switched wallpaper...I'd get the weird shift after every reorientation....like the wp was resizing each time.
I was having major issues with wallpapers in adw ex, ended up using multi wallpaper live wallpaper to solve this, it can show a single image or a slide show.
I think the adw dev just got a honeycomb tablet so hopefully it will be fixed.

That not the right size dimensions so it won't work if you want something that big try 2560x2035 or smaller 1610x1280
All my installed wallpapers are the latter and i never have any issues.
I just started using ADW EX, and whenever I try to resize any widgets, the screen seems to freeze. That is, I can still resize the widge, but I can't deselect it, or select anything else on the screen -- including app icons, which stop functioning. I have to kill the app and relaunch to get it to respond again.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
ADW is certainly feature-rich, but it is crying for some documentation, which I can't seem to find.

After you resize it, just hit the back button.
Android 4.2 introduced lockscreen widgets, which allow you to glance at your widgets without unlocking your device, even when it's secure.
Samsung decided to rip this apart, and disable widgets if the device is secured.
This mod fixes that, all while enabling a secure camera on the lockscreen when swiping right (Gallery button won't be shown).
Compatibility:
This mod should work on all TouchWiz 4.2 ROMs, unless Samsung decides to break it later on.
Tested and/or reported working on:
Samsung Galaxy S4
Samsung Galaxy S3 with 4.2.2 leak
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with 4.3 leak
Source:
The mod is open source, and licensed under GPLv3: https://github.com/MohammadAG/Xposed-Samsung-Multiple-Widgets
Download:
http://dl-count.xposed.info/modules/com.mohammadag.multiplewidgets_v5_a98dbe.apk
Changelog:
[1.6]
Added settings activity to select whether or not to force a camera widget (Note 3 users, you'll need to check this)
[1.5]
Support for 4.3, tested on the Galaxy Note 2, will most probably work on the Note 3.
Force the camera widget to appear, this should help S3 owners, as well as any user with a 4.3 device that doesn't have Samsung's shiny new camera.
[1.1]
Widgets can now be edited in secure mode.
You can now toggle between Favorite Shortcuts and Secure Camera in Lockscreen Settings (stock Settings app).
[1.0]
Initial release.

As noted above, you have to have the exposed framework app installed, and then need to go into the Xposed installer and enable the module as well.
The Xposed framework app is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1957219&d=1368387321
Framework thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
I have had one glitch so far - I wake up phone and swipe to the left on the lock screen to enable the camera, and the screen goes to the intermediate grey screen showing the camera icon and then the screen goes all black and the camera doesn't open, even if I wait 15 seconds or longer.
I then hit home and swipe left again and the grey screen w/the camera icon appears and the camera opens as it should.
Can others report if they are seeing this? Mohammed - any suggestions?

I'd say the glitch is because of Samsung's own camera code, I got a similar thing where the camera opened and threw me back to the lockscreen. In any case my code just disables their Easy Mode implementation.
My previous tweak shouldn't do anything actually, the old camera was SamsungCamera, this one is SamsungCamera2, so my mod won't find anything to mod.

Thanks, Mohammad. I've only seen it "get stuck" launching the camera a couple more times, and I've learned that if I don't see it transition from the camera icon to the camera screen within a short period of time, to just hit home and swipe again and it always works the second time.
So maybe there is some race condition (maybe not quite the right term) when the phone is first waking up on the lock screen and I swipe to the camera, and when I go back to the lock screen and swipe to the camera again the phone is now ready to launch the camera.
In any case, this solves the one remaining issue I had w/staying on stock/rooted TW for now (aside from fast USB charging), so I'm quite happy! I've been running CM pretty much exclusively on my phones since my OG Droid years ago, but I'm going to stay w/the stock TW ROM for now until I decide how badly I want to have access to the TW features that I'll lose if I go AOSP. Then I can decide if I want AOSP, modified TW, or stock.
No Dice!!!

I rooted using Motochopper and have TWRP recovery installed. I was able to successfully install the XDA Framework and download this mod and enable it. This is what I am experiencing:
1. With no passcode lock at all, I am able to swipe from right to left and see a bunch of shortcuts. I am also able to swipe from left to right and add widgets.
2. With a passcode added and no 'secure email account' attached to my device, I am still able to swipe from right to left to see shortcuts and from left to right to see widgets.
3. However, once I setup my work email MS Exchange, which does require a passcode lock, the mod only partially works. I am still able to swipe from right to left to see the shortcuts (although to access anything I still must enter my code). But I am not completely unable to swipe from left to right to see the widgets.
I was using Nova Launcher and thought this was the problem. But even after completely removing Nova Launcher and going back to the stock TouchWiz - same problem.
Any ideas???

Seeing only a page of shortcuts, not a baddass secure camera
I have a Verizon Galaxy S4 with CleanROM 1.6.5 and no other mods. I have the Google Apps Device Policy installed and active which I have configured (as I'm the Google Apps Admin) to allow lock screen widgets.
I downloaded and installed the XPosed framework from here with ES File Manager http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1970286&d=1368825478 and rebooted.
I installed the Multiple Widgets apk from here http://mohammadag.xceleo.org/public/Android/Xposed/GalaxyS4MultipleWidgets.apk and installed it with ES File Manager then enabled the Widget in the XPosed framework and rebooted.
When I swipe to the left I get a + which enables me to use very useful full-screen widgets such as calendar (from my Simple Calendar app) messaging, Google Now etc.
When I swipe to the right all I get is a page of shortcuts which all require my pin to access. Help I am dying to get a slick Secure Camera shortcut!
EDIT: I figured it out!! Instructions for anyone else with the same problem I was having.
You have to disable the Google Apps Device Policy, you're going to have to remove your account that requires it.
Touch Settings/My Device/Lock Screen/Screen Lock/Swipe
Touch Lock Screen Widgets/Favorite Apps or Camera/Camera/Save
Touch Back/Screen Lock then choose your security type
Then go back in and add your corporate account that requires the Google Apps Device Policy and away you go.

Oh yeah, I think I've seen someone report that about Final Fantasy. I think rovo89 mentioned that the only fix would be to disable the mod while playing the game.
Honestly I'd complain ti Square Enix, this is one of those DRM methods that only harms the user.

I was using Nova Launcher and thought this was the problem. But even after completely removing Nova Launcher and going back to the stock TouchWiz - same problem.
Any ideas???

I completely love the stock launcher on the Nexus 5 but I cannot stand the paged horizontal scrolling in the app drawer. I know this can be changed in Nova Launcher but i'd rather not use another launcher.
First, has anyone been able to accomplish this? If not, I would love if someone could help me figure out if it's possible and what files I may need to update. I've changed various things with the SystemUI apk but never anything in the app drawer. I would also be fine with horizontal scrolling but continuous (ie. it doesn't stop moving every page and just glides).
I would appreciate any help.

you might be able to port over a samsung touch wiz launcher from android 4.3, they ususally have a vertical list scrolling setting... it might need some of the framework files though. not sure how samsung does things these days.
That's a place to look but I'd prefer to just edit the stock launcher. I was trying to find any app drawer mods to figure out where to look. No luck yet

I have also started using xposed installer. Is there a module for this? I'd settle for just getting rid of the paged scrolling at this point. Ie. You can just swipe once to get from the first to forth page of apps.

Nope, everything is stock, also the launcher. Just installed the Google Camera app from playstore. When i swipe from the left and then click on the settings icon it will close.
Same problem here. Google Camera will force close when trying to open settings. Cyanogen camera will just not run at all. What gives?
working fine on mine..
Stock , non rooted , latest version of Google camera
Can anyone tell me the final version version of Google Camera that will support Moto G3 Turbo Edition(Merlin)?
Hi I was wondering if anyone found a launcher that would be optimized for the cover display?
Currently I installed Hyperion and added it to goodlocks widget and while the app icons are resized for the coverscreen and I can launch all my apps from there, I was hoping if anyone tried any other launchers that function better
And yes I am aware of samsprung and coverscreen os, I have samsprung installed but I like the fact that goodlocks implementation allows for gesture nav to work and it allows for the fingerprint reader to unlock my phone without Bixby
That's not a half bad idea. I hadn't even thought of using the widget to launch a launcher.

Ya so far it's been working great, it gets me around the 5 app limit, I did the same thing with your original widget as well for fun but since there wasn't a way to press a back button back then it was ultimately pointless but with goodlocks widget I find it useful despite some limitations(picture in picture mode still works so YouTube videos need to closed or else you'll have a bad time)
I thought an android tv launcher would work better but the ones available on the app store are super glitchy
There used to be a launcher inside Kodi. I wonder how that would do being made to support almost anything.
