[Q] Qualcomm cortex a5 dual core processor vs mediatek cortex a9 dual core processor

HI,
im gonna buy a new android phone i have 2 choice but cant take decision between them.
one has qualcomm cortex a5 dual core processor and another has mediatek cortex a9 dual core processor
Which is better?

hello i want to buy either motorola razr d3(which will available worlwide soon) or htc desire x
my question are :
1) which are more powerful in term of perfomance and touch screen sensitivity(not looking for gaming perfomance)

2) is it ARM Cortex version affect perfomance?
btw, currently i am using sony xperia go, and this device are suck, hang all over, very lag, and not sensitive at all

mediatek, better gpu and cpu. best battery life. and yes, cortex version affect performance. cortex a7 is newer than cortex a9, it is the new generation cortex a5. buy razr d3, i want to buy it too.

Single or Quad core GPU?

Hello, i bought a china phone with quad core mtk6582 cpu.
In Antutu benchmark show that cpu is - 4+4 cores - what it this? 4 cores or ?
For the GPU - Antutu say - Mali 400 MP
But i see that this MTK6582 , have mali 400 mp2 gpu - so which is correct antutu or ?
I Try with another benchmark quadrant standart - and there also show mali 400 mp as a single core.
Do you know how much cores is this gpu?

Maybe antutu was wrong,try google it bro,maybe it can help,check it on mtk website or your phone's brand website

Just want to know what hardware is better.
*Not GPU dedicated Ram

go with the 2 gigs, mali and mediatek are terrible GPU's/CPU's snapdragon and adreno beats the crap out of them. octa core means nothing, phones dont need 8 cores xD quad is just fine.
