I have looked at the samsung support article and this guide (htt p://thedroidguy.com/2015/04/samsung-galaxy-s6-tutorials-guides-faqs-how-tos-and-tips-part-5-105106#ProfileSharing) and I cannot figure out how to enable either of these features. From my understanding they were not removed from the Verizon version.

Has anyone heard of this?
Samsung adapted “Gesture Lock” feature, which enables the users to unlock the phone and execute the menu directly as they draw a letter of the alphabet on the screen. Users can set which menu they want to correspond to each letter, from A to Z.

After reading and watching a preview of this technology, I would like this function in my Samsung Galaxy S too.
Even though SGS is the newest phone from Samsung, I heard that they wouldn't have this feature implemented.
Well my question is that is there any way possible to take out from any other Samsung Phones that features this technology and port it into my SGS?
Does anyone know where in the phone does Samsung integrate this feature? (maybe in some specific apk?)
[If we figure this out, we can probably make use to all android phones]

As can be seen from this vid, this unlocking feature will take you straight to any applications that you would like.
Thank you.
I can't give valuable feedback because how the board permissions are set up. I don't want to get into how the board should be ran and I will not. I am a website owner myself as well as a developer in PHP, VB, ASII, and JavaScript.
Can someone see that this topic - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076150 gets the information it needs or this topic gets merged as a post.
Thanks in advance, just wanted to give some feed back without having to troll and spam just to give it in the other boards.

Hello,
Administrators, if I posted this in the wrong area I apologize and please let me know.
I have a Samsung Mega (SPH-L600) with a bad ESN as my target phone. My donor phone is a Samsung SII (SPH-d710) both have been rooted.
I have successfully flashed the Mega over to Boost using the guides provided on this site along with others. The one thing I am having an issue with which seems to be common problem is the data. I am not able to get data and the phone is still trying to register itself and failing. I am able to make and send phone calls along with text messages. It has also downloaded all of the boost applications and wallpaper.
I am 95% positive my issue is the AAA Shared Secret key and HH Shared Secret Key. I am not able to locate the correct NV Items on the donor phone. They are not appearing on CDMA Workshop. So I believe that is why it is not allowing data or registering the phone.
I have saved all of the NV items from donor phone the only ones that seem to have anything in them are 474, 579, 1206. That resemble a AAA or HH. I am hoping someone can steer me in the right direction in correcting this issue. I have screen shots along with all the information for both phones.
The programs I am using are DFS CDMA Tool v.14.6.1.0, CDMA Workshop 2.7, QXDM Professional, and QPST Configuration. I have included the links and guides that I have used and researched on this site. I have used a few others but will stick with the ones from this site.

Hey Guys.
So, a while back I made a batch tool that has a bunch of scripts to automate tasks I would do frequently when I would root phones for people. I thought some people might find it useful, either to use, or disect as a reference tool for their own scripts.
This tool has the ability to do the following(everything requires root access, except Tether_dun_required to "0")
-Disable OTA Updates (works for most HTC, LG, and Samsung devices. Maybe more, idk check it out)
-Disable Knox(Samsung)
-Native Tether Hack
-TetheringProvision(compatible with some Galaxy/Samsung Devices)-HotspotProvision(compatible with some LG devices, like some models/firmwares of G2)-SQLite Entitlement Check(for motorola devices, not sure if it will work on newer devices)-Tether_dun_required to "0"(for Nexus 5 on tmobile & sprint, maybe others)-Services.jar and/or Services.odex(some s4's and G2's)-Reverting
-Enabling OTA's-Enabling KnoxReverting Tether Hack(Only for the TetheringProvision and HotspotProvision)
How should you use this tool? Well, in my experience, I wouldnt just spam all the scripts on a device till one worked (specifically for Tether hacks), rather, I would do research here on xda, find which general method works, then use the corresponding script in the tool.
Standard disclaimer, if something doesn't workout the way you expected...it's on you.
Hope this can be useful for a few, not sure if these processes are outdated now or such. Either way, let me know if I should add or edit anything in a specific way.
tl;dr
File is attached

Here's a page with the phone's specs if interested: http://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/8f2b309b
I just moved back to the US after living in Japan for 2 years. I bought this phone back in 2013, so I was wondering if I could root it and uninstall all the Japanese pre-installed apps that I won't need anymore and use it here (I already looked into unlocking it, and should have that half under control). If not, I can just save up and buy a new phone, but I like this one and would like to keep it if I can root it.
I searched Google and found this page: http://androidrooting.wiki.fc2.com/wiki/SoftBank FMC ARROWS A202F root化 wiki
It seems to say that there is a root out, but all the forums are in Japanese (which I don't read) and google translate wasn't very useful for me.
I also searched this site and I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2333055 but it's for a different version, and I'm not sure if it would work?
Also... I've only rooted one time (a Droid) and that was years ago with a program, so I may need a refresher on the process.
