[Completed] Memory decreased - XDA Assist

So i have a Nexus 7 2012 32GB 3G, and recently i unbricked it, but now it says that it's total space is 7GB...
Best Regards,

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. That's a common problem when flashing the factory image on Nexus devices. Just go in to the stock recovery and wipe cache and then do a factory reset.

Hi, thanks for responding.
So when i try to launch the recovery mode, it just give's me a android with a red tringle and a exclamation point in it...?
Best Regards,

That is the stock recovery. When you get that press and hold power, then press and release vol down.

Hi! I've done it, but it was the volume up not de vol down
Thank you so much for assisting me, cheers

I'm glad you got it working. I'll be closing this thread.

[Q] i think i am bricked

i have the inspire and i rooted it with no problems. now this is all new to me so i need some major help. i downloaded a rom from the rom manager app on my phone. pretty sure it was a coredesign rom. i backed up my existing rom and followed all the prompts i was given before installing the rom installed and the phone rebooted/ but now i am stuck on the htc screen and cannot get past it. i tried a hardschock of the phone but i am still stuck ont the white htc screen. any help to get my phone up and running would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
have you tried booting into recovery by holding, the volume down and power buttons, and then falsh your recovery?
Pull the battery. Put it back in, hold the volume down button then while its down press the power button. That will put you in the bootloader. Go down to recovery and press the power button. In recovery wipe the phone and wipe cache, then installe your rom.

You can wipe data/ factory reset after installing the stock firmware. Boot into Recovery Mode by holding down Power and Volume Up buttons together until the screen turns on. When the Samsung logo appears, let go of the Power button but keep holding down the Volume Up button until the device boots into recovery. In Recovery Mode, select Wipe data/Factory reset and select Yes on next screen. Select Reboot system now to reboot the tablet
So i flashed the device and it said passed. It rebooted but it's stuck on the samsung logo after it does the sound. I'm able to get into download mode any ideas?

[Q][UNBRICK] Is my TF700 a brick OR asleep in APX MODE?

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here so forgive my errors (if any):
I have tried a few things on my TF700:
1. I have installed the rooting tool from asus website and after activating it,
The first boot scrren said (on top left corner) "the device is unlocked"
When running the app again it would give an error.
2. I tried soft reset - nothing there.
3. I went for hard reset - I accidently went for the left most icon....
After a little investigation on a few pages here I think it is in APX mode..???
It turns on but stays in the first screen with the white ASUS logo on screen & thats it...
Any ideas anyone???
How do I save my precious TF700??
I tried connecting to it through USB installing (Linux):
cat > /etc/udev/rules.d/60-nvflash.rules <<END
# nvflash support for Nvidia Tegra systems attached to USB
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTR{idVendor}=="0955", ATTR{idProduct}=="7820", MODE="0660", GROUP="plugdev"
END

With no luck...
What can I do???

If you use the Asus unlock tool, you should not brick your device. It looks like that you wipe your system some how. I am guessing here... Can you do some test for me? If you on the Asus screen, just press the power button for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then keep holding the power button with the volume down at the same time until you are going back to the three icons, thanks. I just want to see if you can get back to your recovery...

Than you for you reply...
I already tried that...it just loops the same shut down to ASUS LOGO screen with no response to the volume down button.
I also let it run out of power so to try & get it out of this loop which resembles an APX loop but in vain...it just keeps on powering up to the same state...
Will give it another go....
There isn't even a pause where I can slip the volume down button in, that is why I let it run out of power to slip the volume down button in...& that is what I am going to do now...let it charge for a short while and power it up with the volume down button (which did not work for several tries...)

What is that right most logo on the hard reset screen?
I know the center is the android...

The device will enter in APX mode only with the Volume UP + Power buttons combo and to get out of that mode you need to hold the Power button for at least 10 seconds.
If you can't get to the bootloader menu (the one with the 3 icons) anymore you are out of luck and only Asus can repair your device. APX it's useful only if you have the NvFlash backup.
Inserting a microSD with an original Asus firmware is also useless if you can't access the bootloader menu because you can't boot in recovery mode.

Make sure you do EXACTLY what sdbags said - he IS the expert.
With the tablet powered OFF, press and hold BOTH the power button and volume down button together, for at least 10 seconds. It should bring you back to the screen with the 3 icons. RCK, android robot icon, wipe. RCK gets you to recovery mode where you can use TWRP for recovery/flash installs, etc. Middle android is the cold boot option which sometimes fixes problems like you're having. Don't do wipe unless someone like sdbags explicitly tells you.
Hope you can fix this.

Well guys...thank you all for your help & time...
I tried everything anyone here suggested but unfortunately ended up with the same result: ASUS white logo screen.
The tablet is still under the first year time period...any suggestions as for how to get it fixed (RMA) without paying tones of money?
What should I say happened???
Guess RCK does not work on my device...(?)
Thank you all...
Did you try the middle android icon to see if that helped? You switch to the middle one by pressing volume down, then select it by pressing volume up.
The device also have a reset button (a tiny hole near the micro hdmi port),use a paperclip to press it and hope for the best.
As for the RMA ,Asus could charge you for repairing because you unlocked the bootloader but some users here on XDA also reported that Asus repaired their device for free even if the bootloader was unlocked.

Lenovo A916 Boot Loop

Hey there,
I have a Lenovo A916 which was pretty reliable. However, it is currently stuck in a boot loop. It wasn't the average type of bricking where one was trying to flash a new rom or where one was trying to root the phone. It was one where a vital app was deleted (I believe the OS UI, I may be wrong) and thus it won't restart properly. I have searched several forums and researched several processes but I wanted more advice before I tried to unbrick the phone myself.
Unfortunately, the drawbacks are that there isn't much information out there about the particular type of phone, and it makes it hard to apply methods that are made for more popular models.
The phone is rooted but the boot loader is locked. Obviously I cannot go into USB debugging mode but the phone does have a memory card slot. I have both the original and a custom rom downloaded and the relevant drivers. I even have Lenovo's LeTools.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Have you tried factory reset? I have the same phone.
Turn it off, then hold the middle of the volume rocker firmly and keep holding it while you turn on the phone - you will see a green tilted android.
Press on/off button 1 time
use the volume rocker to move down to wipe data/factory reset and press the in the middle of the volume rocker. Then on the next screen move down to Yes and press the middle of the volume rocker.
Your phone will now factory reset - wait until its done.
it will restart by itself - if not, then move to reboot now and press the middle of the volume rocker.
Hopefully this will fix your issue - though now your facing another one - there might be spyware on your phone and you have to re-root it and depending on the method install either superuser or supersu(best), then remove the spyware with malwarebytes, avast, 360 security. Make a list of those that can't be cleaned.
Then disable the offending apps.
BE CAREFUL! I'm not responsible for what you do!
If you by accident choose the wrong thing, then hold the power button for 30 seconds and your phone will restart. Turn if off and try again.
Be advised that you will loose all your apps and files, you should remove your MicroSD card first.
Good luck
Factory reset won't work.
You said you just flashed a new rom right?
If you done factory reset, it wouldn't reset your phone COMPLETELY. It will just reset the settings and the data.
What you need to do is you need to find the stock rom of your device. Then reflash it into your device.

No, I didn't flash a new ROM. Actually, I was using the stock ROM when the UI got deleted. I do have the stock ROM however. What is the best way to flash the ROM to my device?
