So, after long time, and without answers to my problem, I had to find out how to remove apps.
I don't know why is this happening, but im unable to change permission to r/w on system app files, and therefore I'm unable to delete them, the error I got when trying to change permissions using total commander "unable to chmod /system/app/17173.apk: Operation not permitted"
Same thing happens when I use Terminal. Tried using root browser, es file explorer, and they give same error, operation failed/not permitted
I've managed to change permissions on system folder, app folder, and every other file/folder but can't change permissions on .apk files
Thanks for further assistance!
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I can see you've already got a thread open discussing this topic here:
Unable to delete bloatware from phone
Please refer to the XDA Forum Rules for information regarding the creation of duplicate posts/threads.
You need root access to be able to remove system apps. See this article:
How to Root Any Device
My phone is rooted, I can access any of the system files, but the problem is, for some reason, those apps, that are in system/app folder can't be removed. I don't know why is this happening, but I'm sure that my phone is rooted. I've switched bootanimation/shut animation, without any problem.
Thanks

Ok, but I'm not sure why you've created another thread in XDA Assist for this problem of yours. You initially created this thread:
[Q] Rooted, but can't delete bloatware
During our conversation in that thread I advised you to ask your question in your device-specific q&a section, which you did here:
*Unable to delete bloatware from phone
This was good, this was exactly what you needed to do, and you've been receiving help there. So there was no need to create this extra thread here in XDA Assist, XDA Assist isn't a general helpdesk area, our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction, you can read more about our purpose in the very first thread at the top of the first page in the XDA Assist section:
The Purpose of XDA Assist [Please Read]
Also, please refer to the XDA Forum Rules for information regarding the creation of duplicate posts/threads.
All in all, you've been receiving help in the thread you created in your device section so I'm going to had to close this one.

Hi everyone,
First of all I need to say thank you for all your work and tutorials and guides and so on. It's great to be here and I hope I can get into Android and use all of it's abilities.
So back to topic:
I created a widget in Zooper and wanted to save it as APK to give it to friends or even share it online. When saving I got the error message that the font used in the widget can not be found in '/fonts/ folder. I downloaded the ttf and went to ES File Explorer, created a 'fonts' folder on the root directory (path: /fonts) and tried to copy the downloaded file into the new folder. But then ES says there's not enough space left to paste this file into the folder.
Actually the file is about 18 kB and I have approx. 4 GB left on my device. ES has root access and I even set r/w-rights to all folders in ES settings.
When copying the file in recovery mode it succeeded, but after boot the folder has gone.
I also tried with adb but this didn't come to success anyway.
My system is an SGS5 klte, running CM12 on TWRP with SuperSU.
It's my first question here, so please tell me if I did something wrong or I forgot to mention something important for you. I really tried to find an answer to this here and in other websites, but I didn't.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I can't find anything relating to your question on XDA, please ask your question in the Zooper Widget General section:

Good luck!

I have a rooted micromax canvas a76 phone and I have deleted build.prop file while exploring with ES FILE MANAGER. Now the boot animation just keeps on looping nothing else.need help...!!
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. You'll either have to find a working copy of build.prop or re-flash your OS to restore it. Unfortunately there is not a dedicated forum on XDA for your device so finding someone with a working copy of build.prop is going to be difficult. There's also not much help on returning your device to stock on XDA. you could try searchinh here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general
Just a word of advice, if you don't know how to return your device to stock do not root it and mess with things.
1.First go to your root browser (Es File Explorer recommended)
2. Go to system/app and search app and delete all files of those app
3. Go to data/data and search app and delete all files of those app again
4. REBOOT your device DONE............
Thanks
Hi,
This would be a more suitable place to post basic Android Information, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general
I will say though, this is very basic information and common knowledge for most. Up to you if you want to post there though.
Good luck!

I have a letv x500 that came with a crappy custom ROM. So I wanted to download the oficial ROM for ir. I just have to place the update.zip file in my root directory. So I change the root directory to read and write, paste the update file in it and close de root explorer. After getting into se recovery mode, the phone doesnt seem to find the update.zip. So i check the root explorer, and the root directory has no update.zip file I had placed there and is set back to read only.
So I found out every time I change to read and write and close the root explorer, It gets set to read only again.
Am I doing something wrong?
I'm sorry, i've never flashed a rom b4, and I'm quite new to rooting. But a lot of things in my phone wont work in this ROM, so i really need this to work.
Thanks ppl
