I am running vista ulimate 64 bit. I have the Samsung moment with Android 1.5. I can not get the usb driver to install on my computer.
I downloaded the android 64 bit usb driver from the sdk developer site, as well as an alternate download I found from one of the threads in this forum.
Followed these steps:
1) Type "bcdedit /set testsigning on" at an admin command prompt
2) Reboot
I have test mode in the corners...
When I point windows to the proper directory, it is not able to install the driver with the following:
Problem Event Name: PnPDriverNotFound
Architecture: x64
Hardware Id: USB\VID_04E8&PID_681C&REV_0222
OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033
HELP!!???
What do you mean by the first step, I have never seen that before in any adb guide? Just go to device manager, uninstall the current driver under adb interface and install the 64 bit driver.
are these the drivers you tried to install for your phone?
What are you trying to do on your phone, just see the SD Card?
I've tried several times to get these drivers to upload here and couldn't so use this link
Couldn't link either, good gosh
He said something about the SDK so I assumed he was talking about ADB...
@elephant007:
Hi,
My Windows7 is not detecting following drivers:
CDC Abstract Control Model (ACM)
CDC ACM Data
XDA
I am trying to connect my DIAM100 (Running 2.2 Froyo) as a USB Storage.
If you have the drivers can u email them to me?
Hi everyone.
Firs of all, excuse me, cause i'm a newbie at the topic.
My question is "simple": How to flash *anything* to a mobile device based on WIN CE without drivers on windows or linux?
Much further details:
The device is the Kin phone, based on windows mobile 6.5.
Device is connected by USB to the pc.
No activesync / windows mobile device center connection is available (no driver and so).
We can start the device in SBL mode (secure boot loader?), so able to flash IPL,OS,Radio and splash image (according to coinflipper leaked rom analysis).
We got the VID and PID for the product in the SBL mode: V 0x045e; P 0x2345
"lsbusb -vv" on the device shows 2 endpoints, 1 for bulk transfer in, other for out.
Using raw c++ i was able to write and read succesfully on the device endpoint but whatever i sent to it was just answered with a "0x01" as response.
So if the winCE masters here can enlight the thing a little, it will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
John K.
Hey all,
Away on holiday and trying drastically to s-off my desire s. Would do it at home via linux but being in cambodia, and using only Internet cafes, it has its limits.
I'm trying it on my hotel computer but I don't have the adb drivers for xp to detect it (only detects sd card)
Tried a few drivers but none worked. Can someone post up a zip to the desire s adb drivers please?
Cant install sdk as too big and long to do on someone else's pc
Thanks,
Dj
The only way is to download the SDK (which is a quite small file).
However, the only thing you'll have to do is:
- Run the SDK Manager
- Go to "Availible packages"
- Select "Google USB Driver package, revision 4" and download it.
These are all relatively small files, so it should be doable.
Good luck!

Hello,
I don't believe that you require the ADB or the SDK!
Look at the APhaRevx website it has the following instructions
Boot your device normally, plug USB in, charge only mode. Enable USB debugging in settings, make sure 'HTC Sync' is UNINSTALLED (on Windows).
Windows - Install these drivers: HTC Windows drivers and run alpharevx as an administrator.
I have an iMito MX1 with a RK3066 chip. When I plug it into my computer, I don't see it anywhere in Device Manager (Windows 7 x64). It's not in "Other devices" or anything... it doesn't even show up as a device that can't be installed at all. It's as if I hadn't even plugged it in.
I know the USB port is working fine because I can see the device when I boot in Recovery/Restore mode and I can successfully flash ROMs to it using the Rockchip BatchTool. I can also successfully use adb with my HTC One (m7) for example.
Any ideas?
Sounds like your Rom's FSTAB might not be remounting on USB connect. Please consider changing Roms. Such as iMito MX1 Dual Core TV BOX RK3066 1.6GHz Cortex A9 1GB RAM 8G ROM HDMI
Also its possible Please update your ADB Driver. Sometimes Windows may not let you know that it replaced stock ADB Drivers from the Manufacturer. For that matter when they have corrupted. Please review [TUTORIAL] How to Manually ROOT your RK3066 Device (UG007, iMitio MX1/2, mk808?)
Last but not least, try ADB Wireless. [APP][TOOL] ADB-Over-WiFi-Helper

Thanks for the links. However I already have the latest ADB drivers. Still, I don't see it in Device Manager at all. I also know that ADB works with this ROM because other people using don't have this issue. Any other ideas? Maybe some weird HTC Drivers that might interfere with the actual ADB Drivers?
Yes that's very much possible. I'd remove every trace of ADB drivers from Windows and reinstall them. Just uninstalling the device won't remove Driver files. You'd need to manually remove the specific .DLL files.

QPST is only for Qualcomm based modem included devices.
