What are my options for a failed root attempt on my flex 2? I've tried recovery and that doesn't work. Can't find any ROM's. Am I stuck with a bricked device until the ROM's are out?

What do you mean by "I've tried recovery and that doesn't work."? You can't get to recovery? You can't restore?
lge h959 v10c rom(kdz format) works, u can try that rom with lg flash tool. Flash it in downloading mode.

I tried going to the recovery menu via hardware reset and when I hit "restore factory settings" it did it's thing but still freezes at login screen.
Ive got the same problem with my sons flex 2. He decided to try to root it and now all it does is sit at the boot screen. Is there anything that can be done or should i send it back for repair and play dumb?
Thanks

my sprint g flex 2 just took a major dive. it keeps going to a black screen and then turning back on to the home screen, every few seconds. tried doing a factory reset and no help. think the update bricked it. I rooted it using the new method and it worked fine. no idea what the hell happened after last night lol
is there a way to go back to the stock firmware as if it just came out of the box?

Not as of right now. As far as I have seen, there have been no stock firmware dumps from the Sprint version of the G Flex 2. Attempts to restore it back to factory settings have ended up in bootlooping phones. The only resolution I've seen so far is unfortunately getting Sprint to exchange the phone. Did you try installing the OTA after root, or did you root after the OTA?

Root then OTA. I work for Sprint so they made me the advocate of that phone. Not a huge fan of it so far. even before all this mess, the phone was lagging and getting way too hot.

ZV5 update fixes a lot of the lag issues and greatly improves battery life. Phone still gets warm to the touch. I don't think that can be fixed via software update though.

I unrooted the phone and put it back to factory settings. Just gonna have LG replace it for me. It's only 3 weeks old so I should be fine.

The only issue I really have with this phone is lack of patched native hotspot
Other than that, the slight lag I'm experiencing here and there I can live with. No other issues for me and I consider it to be the best designed phone on the market except for Sharp Aquos, which is unfortunately too small and has mediocre components.

So pretty new to this form I'm from the United States I have a LG flex 2 h950 I rooted the other day and then I installed a application that fixed permissions... once the permissions were fixed the phone turned off and just started boot looping afterwards. I couldn't find software for my phone so I tried flashing H955 software...bad idea... the phone works but seems only the cellular service doesn't work...if there's a way for me to enable the radio somehow or flash different radio please let me know because it's really frustrating I know I'm dumb that i did it to begin with but i can at least use the phone besides cellular service .I didn't know if somebody has a spare H 950 software in there pocket or if there's another way to go around it I can't get anything from LG and I can't get anything from AT&T so pretty much I have a phone that I can't call with or text with also I noticed whenever I go to the hidden menu and I go to phone info...it says this application does not work with this device any help would be appreciated.
On my 3rd flex 2 at&t. I called and made something up and they sent a replacement. They never check. They just refurbish the device as long as it has no external damage.

Really? I was thinking that. But its not my plan. Its my girlfriends i didnt wanna get her disconnected. Because it is also rooted. I heard they can do that. I didnt kno if i could modify something in build prop or flash something. It also sucks because i like this phone and there's no recovery which got me in the situation to begin with. Thanks for the advice though. Im still debating if i should do that or if anyone has any other ideas? Thanks
did you modify the system folder? i can help you with that

I don't know if i can help you
there are no stock images. but if there is pieces from the rom you need. I can send them to you
The system folder? What would i have to modify? I had a couple ideas but they didnt really work lol...long story short cant find att stock firmware h950...rooted...bricked...flashed h955 firmware hoping that would work but now i cant get cell service. Says radio is disabled but i cannot find a way to enable

ahh bricked LG's. they are really hard to restore.. i remember when i bricked my lg g pro f240k and it took me forever to restore but eventually i did.
it was soo easy.. much easier than i thought.
okay, try this buddy
http://lg-support-tool.en.lo4d.com/ << download and install this. as well as lg drivers.
put your phone into download mode.. and then leave it there.
connect your phone to your pc, and then click find software or something like that.
after youve done that...
it will find the appropriate software and flash it automatically, although you will lose your root, and you might end in android 5.1.1
however i am not too sure...
btw leave a thanks and tell me how you got on!
Cool thanks much appreciated...i will let you kno tomorrow. While we are on the subject dose anyone know a custom recovery method for the flex 2 H950? or mabey a recovery from a differnent model that MAY work? So this dose not happen again. :good: many thanks.
i wouldn't mind buddy. give a few hours.

Thats incorrect.. Its not flashtools.. Its the actual firmware file which has nothing to do with the flashtool program.
Anyway Will the ZV8 TOT file be good? or does it need to be ZV9? I think I can get ZV8 but it will cost me $20
I was trying to root my phone with easy root and put everything in the right places or so I thought, but when it restarted all it would do is sit on the LG screen. I can get into download mode but cant get into recovery. Is there anyone who can help? Id love to be able to flash the firmware to this phone.
The good news is there is a way to recover if your phone can get to a working download mode.
The bad news is that the procedure is not trivial.

What's the reason it's stuck on the logo? Did you do something like attempt root or anything?
If you haven't done anything to cause it did you try performing a factory reset?
It could be a hardware issue or battery problem if you didn't do anything to cause the stuck on LG logo problem.

So with the phone off you've tired holding down vol up and power or vol down and power to attempt to factory reset? Your phone doesn't need to boot into the OS to factory reset it...
Also normally this doesn't happen unless it's a hardware issue since you didn't do anything to cause it.
Was the device running MM? If so you need to use LGUP. Lg flashtools 2014 won't work if your running MM 6.0.
Just check out the general section there's a back to stock guide with links to firmwares.

Yes. Just place your phone in download mode.
If your phone still does the same after flashing it's either your battery or a hardware failure.
