my 32 gb card has a problem
1. i transferred my apps on it and it was working perfectly fine BUT, after a few minutes... whenever i launch an app stored in my sd card, it says (com.android.twitter has stopped or com.android.google.youtube has stopped).
2. so i tried rebooting my phone, but after restarting it, my apps stored on my sd card were all GONE!!!
3. i tried formatting my sd card and it just went back to number 1.
i dont know what to do, but what i know is that my sd card is the problem in here since my phone storage which i stored some of my apps.. is perfectly working fine...
do you think i should get a brand new sd card?

Hi I'm really new to this Android stuff and well I have an 8GB memory card and just got a 32GB card
I have copy pasted the info from old to new but, all my apps that were copied to the sd card are not loading.
I copied some apps to the external memory card to save space on my actual phone
what am missing? or do i have to put all my apps back on my phone then move them again?

Are the applications not showing only in the launcher or even when you go to settings--->applications?
If they are not showing when you go to settings---->>>applications then you might need to install them back again. Or else what you can do is insert back the old sd card and move all the applications back to the phone. Copy all the things from the 8GB SD to the new one and check if they work.
If you want better answer please do write your mobile model and be sure that the mobile accepts 32GB sd card.

I have an HTC Sensation XE
I used an 8GB SD Card which worked well until suddenly it started giving me "Sd card unexpectedly removed" , so I had to remove it and reinsert it and restart the phone to make it work again.When it stopped working on my phone, I got to copy the files to my PC, and I got another 8GB SD Card, which I tried to copy the folders from the pc , but no files showed, and it auto-deleted the folders,I installed a large application from the market and the part on the SD Card was deleted.I got a 16 GB SD Card,but same problem, I erased it, still I can't get the files from my pc to the Card and get make them work,so got any answers?

Hi folks, well I have a 32 gig external sd card that I recently loaded several gigs of music onto for a road-trip I have to take in 3 days.
Tonight I went to copy some files from the internal sd (not the 32 gig external) onto my computer, and it behaved strangely, so I powered the phone off to try again. Once the phone rebooted, both the 5 gig internal sd, and the 32 gig external sd cards report as being empty with all free space available, everything is gone.
I can't run recovery software from windows on the card , because when I mount the card it appears in windows as a portable media device, not a hard disk, so no recovery software recognizes it.
Anyone have any advice as to what I might try, in order to recover my music directories? I'm thinking I might be out of luck.

Who is the manufacturer of the card? Is it generic? This is an issue with cheap SD cards. Sounds like it needs to be formatted. Most likely your data is lost. Sorry.
I put the sd card in my older motorola atrix that I just recently retired from service use, booted the atrix to clockworkmod, from there mounted usb storage, and windows did assign the sd card a drive letter - I was able to run a data recovery program (easeus data recovery) and in about an hour recovered all my music to my laptop. Some of its in lost directories etc, but mostly the original folder structure is intact - in any case i've got my music back for my road-trip.
Why the newer lg ultimate 2 i'm now using only mounts the sd card as a portable media device, I don't know, and for the moment it doesn't matter.

This had me thinking: if I was able to remove the sd card from the lg phone, and put it into the atrix phone, and recover/access the data - then what if for instance, you lost your phone, someone found it and put the sd card into another device/reader, and you had a titanium backup on that sd card- they restored the backup of some of your programs (complete with data)
wouldn't they then have access to some very private information of yours?

After few days When I rebooted my phone a message was seen in Notification area as :"REINSERT MEMORY CARD"
I tried it several times but it is not working
I have some Photos and Imporatant files in the SD card
Please help me to recover it.

After installing CM12 on my android "Xperia V", I've moved some apps to my external card " by using Link2SD". They worked fine but now I want them on the internal storage "sdcard0" so I moved them back to phone storage and removed my ext sd card and moved them to sdcard0, they worked well and everything is fine.
Now when i inserted external sd card to my phone , all apps moved to sdcard0 are disappeared, when i remove my external sd card and turn on my phone again the apps back again. I want to use my external sd card, can you help me?
Note1: When i connect my ext sd card to computer i find android_secure folder.
Note2: When i try moving an app to sd card using normal app manager when the ext sd card is inserted, they move to the ext card not sdcard0. so I move them when ext card not inserted, they moved fine but when i insert my sd card back they disappear as i said.

I've used "Link2SD" before, now i'm using normal App manager

I've re-installed my CM12 ROM, just installed Gapps, installed random app and moved it to sdcard0, inserted my sdcard and the app disappear again! the problem isn't in Link2SD
I installed another ROM "cm12 instead of cm12.1", i think it works fine now
