I get a FC using the stock M8 browser in any Lollipop Sense ROMs, any fix?
I'd prefer not to use Chrome or Firefox, I tried Vanilla Browser and got the same FC.
I've tried CleanROM 4 (worked fine in CleanROM 3) and several other ROMs.
Works fine in CyanogenMod 12.

Googled again using different search terms, "browser for Sense 6" and got this:

Hi all,
I'm on the leaked ICS and use Opera Mobile (that's supposed to support flash) but it's not working. Flash is working on the native browser.
Anyone know how to get it working on Opera Mobile?

Yes, it's working on the stock browser..

I would assume that it doesn't work in Opera for the same reason it doesn't work in the chrome beta. If you uninstall/reinstall flash then I'd just chalk it up as being a bug from a non-finished build

Chrome beta doesn't support flash on purpose. They're pushing everyone to leave flash and go htlm5.
Opera is supposed to support it, but like you said - it probably has something to do with the ICS leak build.
I am having issues running website videos on my S3. Some work but others do not. The most recent is Gametrailers. I rooted my phone but I haven't done anything beyond that. I am pretty sure this is a new issue and can't figure it out. I reinstalled flash player and rebooted my phone. Any advice would be great!

I have tried using the regular browser and Chrome. I got Gametrailers to work using desktop view but dorkly.com only plays sound.

I know that flash will not woke with chrome...but it should with the stock browser

Try Dolphin browser, I have more much with it than the stock browser, especially with flash video.

This happends to me all the time when I'm on an ics rom. I had to go back to cm7 for flash.
Eventhough I installed flasg on ics it seems to work half the time.
Its just a flash issue since tgey decided to drop support.

Doesn't matter which link I click on, XDA app will open my browser to the same tapatalk thread and won't connect. I don't even have tapatalk on my phone. Thought it may be a browser problem but they all go to this same link that won't open. Blew out XDA and reinstalled but didn't help. Any idea why its doing this?

This use to happen to me sometimes on stock android browser when I click on my notifications. Wonder if its related?

Did you ever have Tapatalk installed? I did but uninstalled it but this just started happening. I was running BoneStock 3.4 which I really liked but nandroided back to 4.1.1 and now the links go where they're supposed to. I think it has to do with .api settings in the app but wouldn't know how or where to go to change them. I know this version is minus a couple of upgrades. I'll reflash Bones later and maybe it won't do it in the reflash.
I have cm 11 m6 installed and I really don't like the stock camera. I was trying to install a ported version on the original G2 camera which I found to be a lot better, but every time I download the apk and install it, it just says "not installed" or something like that. I tried another camera too (MIUI) and it did the same thing.
Am I missing something here? Do I have to do something with the permissions (I don't know how to change them) ?

Yes, I have that checked. I have installed other apps this way. It just seems to be the camera apps that don't work.

I didn't think a stock cam would work with cm or aosp since that's what keeps a lot of people sticking with a stock rom. I would read and ask in these threads.

That's what I was thinking that too but there was someone here that ported the stock G2 camera app for AOSP Roms. But its not just that app, its other camera apps too that are supposed to work with AOSP.
I will look into those threads.

It works fine on venom 2.5. Just install the apks like normal then wipe data on calendar and Gmail apks then reboot. Profit. Very nice Apps.

Did all that including wiping google framework. Maybe only works on international Roms? I am on clean rom
I couldn't get it to work on Roland's RNKD ROM either. Too bad - looking forward to this!

Well I installed viper 2.5 and it still crashes even with the updated Google services. Now what?
Edit...forgot to reboot. Works after reboot.
