I have flashed the recently released TWRP Release CodeName zeroflte on my Galaxy S6 SM-G920F via Odin successfully. I went to reboot into Recovery to take a Backup and it simply hung at the Samsung Boot Logo for 20-30 Mins. i can successfully boot into Download Mode but nothing else is this a corrupt release?

I have same issue. Have you got it working yet?
I have this same issue. I cannot boot into TWRP after flashing it. I've already tried all flash methods as well. I can only boot into stock recovery. I believe @bigbiff is working on this issue. I sent him the recovery.img from the SM-G920i which I am sure is either the same as or very similar to the SM-G920F. Hopefully we see a fix soon.
Perhaps someone who has an SM-G920F or a SM-G920i and has gotten TWRP to work can share their knowledge :fingers-crossed:
partitions
if someone needs a backup from the org partitions, ive done root now and make a backup with the new mobileodin tool.
Doing a little research, do I need an unlocked bootloader to flash TWRP 2.8.6.0? I'm in Australia with a Telstra branded S6. How can I tell if my bootloader is unlocked?

Hi- I am stuck at the powered by android screen. How did you get into download mode from there. The button combinations aren't working for me. I can only reboot with volume down + power.

I'm sorry I don't remember exactly. Have you tried holding the home button in combination with power and volume down/up?

With Home+volume down+power, it goes into download mode,
while with home + volume up+ power, nothing happened,
same with volume up + power,
Download mode is your only way out. You must flash a ROM with Odin from there

I already try it but stock rom is not flashing on demo live unit, odin fails it,
I see. What is the exact model number of your unit? You can go to sammobile.com to download the right ROM. Not sure about a demo unit though.
---------- Post added at 12:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:54 PM ----------
Also it's possible that you have a newer bootloader and you are forced to do a ROM with that bootloader or newer. I have trouble going back to older roms once I flashed a newer one.

keep on pressing at the same time volume down+HOME BUTTON AND POWER BUTTON IT WILL TAKE YOU TO DOWNLOAD MODE.
if you wnat to get recovery mode then shutdown mobile then press volume up +home + power button when logo appear on screen release the power button but dont release volume up and home button until you get recovery screen.
search google cwm receover for sm g920f and download it and flash it through odian. it iw better than twr recovery.

Do you have stock firmware for SM-G920FZDAXSG as i've installed the beta ROM and i'd like to revert to the original ? I'm unable to do it via Smart switch and cannot find the original firmware.

Here's my problem:
I have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M that keeps rebooting after trying to install a custom recovery so that I can root it.
What I did
I followed the steps (1 to 11), of Installing a custom recovery on Galaxy S mentioned in the following page:
wiki,cyanogenmod,org/w/Install_CM_for_galaxysmtd
After that, I simply unplugged the usb, there were no errors, and removed the battery and now what I get is the simply that my device reboots after the boot logo. IF I hold down volume + home + power I can boot in download mode. However, I cannot boot in recovery or in normal mode !
Here's a video of what it is doing youtube,com/watch?v=Wie9eZYyECw
What I have tried
Removing the battery and reboot the cellphone
I tried to redo step 7, heimdall flash --kernel zImage --no-reboot, but I still got the same error

Forget this I had to remove the previous driver !
Hi,
I have this old Galaxy Ace Plus phone which doesn't boot. It had an old SlimRom on it and I installed the stock firmware over it by odin.
The phone starts boots to the 'SAMSUNG' logo that appears in the middle of the screen just before the homepage screen and vibrates sort of 'prrrr prrrr prr prr prr' and reboots and the same thing continuously.
Since then it won't boot and won't even go to recovery mode. When I press the recovery mode combo it does nothing 'black blank screen and no sound or vibration activity as if the phone is switched off completely'.
As per a few threads I saw to fix the bootloop you need to go to recovery and flash a file but because I can't go to recovery I am stuck.
However I can go to the download mode.
Here is what I have tried so far..
Re-downloaded and reinstalled the stock firmware
Tried to flash different recovery's.
Tried different ODIN versions (all say passed/OK)
Reboot manually after odin flash directly to recovery mode
Played with battery and some buttons
Tried different location stock firmwares
Nothing so far..
Is there anything else I can try ?
Thanks.
have you tried with the last firmware for ace plus ??

Thanks for the reply.
All the Ace plus firmwares on sammobile are 2.3.6
I have tried of a few regions but all are failing at the same boot loop.
hmm.. have you tried to flash TWRP ??
ps: are you sure that you can't go on recovery ? the combo is volume - volume + home button + power button (on/off) and when you will see the logo "samsung" you must leave the power button but don't leave the other.
Yes i have tried the correct combo. However i will search and try to flash twrp.
Will let you know.
Thanks.

Thanks for the link, I have flashed it and it says RES OK and green color so I assume its fine. However the phone doesn't accept my recovery button combo ( Vol-Up + Vol-Down + Power + Home ). I think its scrap now.

I think so....I had the same problem some days ago....and I think it's an hardware problem (the power button)
You can also try to connect the phone on the pc via usb and try with adb commands
-write on cmd (terminal) adb shell and if you get
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 * ( the port number maybe can change)
* daemon started successfully *
-now write adb reboot recovery and the phone must reboot into recovery
When i use my mo it ll reboot
sorry, but what do you mean with mo ?
Hi everybody,
I guess i need some help, i got a S6 with a strange problem. It's stuck on the Samsung S6 powered by Android screen.
I tried almost everything. It's not my own phone so it's kinda hard to know exactly what caused the problem.
The story is that it was running perfectly with some custom rom, when using skype it suddenly shut down and got stuck on the logo. Now, i can go into download mode but not into recovery. So, i flashed twrp with odin with no problem, odin says completed. But when i start recovery it only says "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" and stays on that combined with the s6 boot logo. After that i tried flashing the stock rom again with odin , also going perfectly but same story , stuck on logo. I also tried 5.1.1 , 6.0.1 , bootloader, kernel, etc etc but all of them same story, stuck on logo....
Now i tried restoring the device with smart switch, and it did that perfectly with no errors, but after it got finished it restarted and u guess it...... stuck on logo!
So... i'm running out of ideas, any of u got some?
Thanx in advance
go into what recovery you have, stock or custom and wipe dalvik and cache and reboot then wait up to 15 mins

If that was possible.... Recovery doesn't boot, i can only go into download mode. I can flash a recovery (or rom, bootloader , modem ,everything) without any problem with odin (no errors) but that's it. When trying to boot into recovery it just gets stuck again.
Keep trying to access twrp via key or button combo
Any update on this?
SM-G920F - NanoRom
If got the same Problem is there any Help ????
Maybe you are doing the enter into recovery button press timing wrong, etc. Its easy to mess up. Keep trying to get into recovery or give the phone to someone else to try enter recovery. The phone needs to be off first.
OR if you reboot via volume down and power which is what you have to on s6 since there is no battery to remove, you need to quickly switch t volume up power and home.
Enter in download mode flash TWRP WITH ODIN. THAN REFLASH A STOCK OR CUSTOM ROM.
---------- Post added at 02:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:04 PM ----------
In other words:reflash TWRP with ODIN. It will reboot straight into TWRP after flashing

When you get to the download mode don't press volume down to enter. Instead press vol up + home + power to enter recovery. This has worked for me so I'm sure it will work in your situation. Good Luck
And when you are doing the button combination to get into recovery, try not releasing any of the buttons until you see TWRP image
I have BLN-L22 device. I installed TWRP recovery 3.1.1- berlin and it installed correctly. Then I found the latest version 3.2.1-berlin on official TWRP app. So I flashed that one and rebooted to recovery. Since then the phone is stuck at the bootscreen which shows 'Phone is unlocked, booting' message.
I can't connect to PC and how can I recover to original?
Official TWRP app (and relative site obviously) leads to a non working build of TWRP, i stumbled upon the same scene too while flashing official 3.1.0 version took by their site... Don't know why. Modded versions of TWRP made by OpenKirin team and HassanMirza01 works correctly instead. Here https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/development/twrp-honor-6x-hassanmirza01-t3733201 you'll find a working 3.2.1-0 version, i tested it by myself.
Now, to get rid of this and flash a working TWRP, you have to boot to fastboot mode with manual method, so begin with completely shut off the phone by keeping held power button for 10+ seconds.
Then, connect the phone to PC with the USB cable, and boot it up by keeping pressed power button and held down volume - immediately as you hear the vibration. From fastboot, you'll be able to flash back the working TWRP.
Problem Solved

Hi Thank you so much. The phone was restarting continuously after holding the power button. So I tried by pressing the power and volume down button which took me to fastboot.
Then I could install the compatible version of TWRP successfully.:good:

You can successfully flash even non compatible images. the problem only arises when you boot them. Simply, they won't be able to boot because they're incompatible.
first, get into fastboot, flash compatible recovery(they are different for emui 5 and 8, so check before you flash). Then boot to recovery by pressing and holding power and volume up button at once from the fastboot mode itself.
Update me with the result. I'll tell you what to do next based on whether the flash works or not.
I can only reach Download-Mode on my S6 (SM-G920F).
Tried to flash with Odin: G920FXXU6ERF5_G920FDBT6ERF1_G920FXXU6ERF6_HOME.tar.md5 - it says "PASS!" and my S6 has rebooted once (after 30 minutes - nothing happens). Recovery mode doesnt work - idk why... i also tried to install twrp but it didnt work either (PASS! but recovery didnt work). please help me
i just can boot up to the white logo text (Samsung Galaxy S6 - powered by android) thats why i try to repair it
